My move was last minute and extremely chaotic. I was dealing with movers and booking a storage unit…read morevery last minute while I was traveling and it was a nightmare. I booked the unit online and thought I was good to go. I looked at the unit size I reserved and it was way too small. So again, last minute I was able to get the correct unit to accommodate my belongings with the assistance of the associate on site. When the movers transferred my belongings to the unit the associate from the facility was touching base with me and updating me on any changes or possible complications. When the movers arrived my 18 year old son was overseeing the process and the same associate that was so helpful on the phone noticed my son was nervous and stressed in the situation and was there to give him advice and guide him through what was happening, for that I am eternally grateful. When I arrived to make sure everything was complete and finalized and packed into the unit properly while the movers were still there, I was met by the gentleman That had been so helpful to my son and on the phone with me. His name is Xavier (I'm uncertain if the spelling is correct). I was incredibly stressed out and had a million things I had to do and just as he did with my son he recognized, and with an amazingly positive approach took me to the unit making small talk to distract me from the visible amount of stress I was experiencing, allowing me to relax and even laugh. The movers had just finished unloading everything and were at the unit for inspection. Everything looked good, I paid the movers and Xavier continued to reassure me that everything was smooth sailing from there. I had no opinion of the facility or location at this point, but the level of professionalism, simple courtesy and stellar customer service was unmatched to any experience I've had in the past. There were other customers he was dealing with while he was dealing with me and he handled it with ease and met each of our needs in an effective and timely manner. He maintained an extremely positive, professional and laid back attitude while multitasking each customers needs. I would highly recommend this location simply based on the level of customer service I received from Xavier. I sincerely appreciate the lengths he went to to make the process as easy as possible. To my dismay, this short time ran into about a year and needed to add more items to my unit until it ran over to second unit. I tell you, Richard, at the 301 site was the most accommodating and so very friendly. I feel I made a new friend in Richard. The units was very clean and I didn't have any issues while storing my (and other family members) things there. I would choose them again if needed.

$36,000.00 of outboard engine parts were stolen from my boat. We were told by the on-duty staff…read moremember that they have had a rash of thefts. We also found out they do not have cameras in the RV and boat parking area. Even after they have had thefts before they did not add any cameras in the RV and boat storage area. I asked Extra Space to do the right thing and cover my loses but they stated, "That isn't going to happen". We have moved our boat to a new storage facility that does have cameras in the outdoor storage areas. We have already called the number you provided and were told the same thing, you are not going to do anything about the break in or our losses.

I love that this facility, on Providence, right next to Carrabba's in Brandon, had a 5x10 option. You can do the whole rental process online, choosing your own unit and electronically signing the forms. For $19.99, you can even buy the lock. It will be waiting in your unit for you. They'll text you a gate and/or elevator code. It's pretty painless. But somehow I messed up and rented an outside unit when I wanted an inside unit. Danya in the office took care of me lickety split. She made all the adjustments and got me into an inside unit right then and there and showed me the ropes of getting upstairs. She was sooo helpful and accomodating. I'm not sure how long I'll need storage, but I'm so glad I chose this clean and convenient location. I'm also impressed with security measures. I wish it were a bit cooler in the top floor but that's a small request. Thank you, Danya! You're a star!

Beware, I was quoted a price of $32 per month from their corporate office. I asked if this was a…read morepromotional offer and they said absolutely not this is your rate. 3 months later it goes up and every few months it goes up more. The people that run this location are great and very helpful but the corporate office will continue to raise their rates once you fill the unit. I am now up to $62 per month and have been there less than a year. Just paid my $62 and that what it said I owed and they took $82 from my account, I was not passed the date they add a $20 late fee.
