I do recommend extra space storage to anyone who is needing to rent because you will get more for the money. Come and check it out , you will see that the space is a lot bigger and the gate time is more open til 10:pm which makes it more convenient. I give it a 5 star! read more

I was spring my travel trailer at this facility for a little over a year, I was broken into twice and both times the same situations occurred. Nothing was seen on 'video recordings', Police were never called, I wasn't called until 5 minutes before closing. Seems convenient that they call before closing so they aren't available when police or I are there. This is supposed to be a secure place with video surveillance 24 hrs a day. Amanda was very helpful and courteous to me when I requested help with the lock on my storage unit. Amanda assisted me in a quick manner without hesitation even through the cold weather. Unfortunately the rates kept Increasing compared to my first charge, I might need to move all my belongings to another storage unit that has fair prices or at least keeps the same rate for a couple Of months. This place is the absolute worse I have ever had. The access is hard to get in with big trailers. My unit door has been broken since the first week we have had the unit it seriously takes everything you have to get that for open and when you do get it open walk in the rolled up piece hits you in the head. I'm a very patient person asked about getting it fixed was told oh yeah no problem will call a guy. Two weeks goes by go back was told oh yeah I called them so proceeds to call them while I'm standing there.. The door place acted like it was the first time they have heard from him so they tell the guy he would come to look on Monday another week goes by I go into the office and ask he said oh yeah the door they ordered parts for it should be there in a few days. Now how would they know what parts to order when they never looked at my unit never called to have me open it up to show they what's going on. So here I right a month later still no call no nothing I am very upset and would never use this place again and I also will be calling cooperate. read more

I was in Victorville, California this past Thanksgiving visiting the in-laws and needed storage for my wife's old yearbooks, photos, and scrapbooks from her high school days. I booked a storage unit online through a company SelfStorage.com. The rate confirmed in the email was $20.00/month. When I went to the company's Hesperia location to sign the contract and load in my storage items, the man at the counter said the actual rate would be $22.00/month plus they required $9.00/month additional for insurance. He also said this rate was only for the first 4 months and then it would go to over $30.00/month plus insurance. When I explained that I had an email showing a $20.00 rate he refused to honor it. When I said I didn't need insurance as I was just storing some old papers in file boxes and wasn't concerned about any value he said it was company policy to require the insurance. THIS PLACE IS A SCAM. They get you in with a false low rate and then refuse to honor it. I did contact SelfStorage.com and they said that while they have no control over a requirement for insurance, the company should have mentioned it in their online ad as well as mentioning that the $20.00 rate was only for 4 months. They said they would contact A-American to clarify this. Nevertheless, there is no doubt that this is a scam to qoute one rate and then once you are all the way out there to hit you with higher rates. Stay away from this business. read more
