Everything is COVERED in ran feces and urine. You NEED breathing equipment, gloves, and sanitary equipment to even go into the units. This was across MULTIPLE units with MULTIPLE friends on SEPERATE occasions. None of these friends were related in any way either... This is a problem with the property. What's even worse is that this isn't the only Public Storage property that I've been to like this. In fact, it's the 2nd one... It makes me absolutely sick. The conditions are straight hazardous. The Health Department needs to investigate and condemn this and other locations desperately. They're so dangerous.

It started with me going on their website for some size and price research. Online, they offer special rates that they may not offer at-location, plus other promos like first-month free. For sizing, they had visualizations of the different units and what could fit in each (whole medium bedroom, for example). I submitted a quote for a 10x10 unit and got a call immediately after for follow-up. On move-in day, Amanda and Bridgette got me processed and settled so fast. They discussed the T&C with me and then walked me to the unit before signing. Immediately, the cleanliness stood out to me. So happy I chose to rent here! Some quick, helpful tidbits: - You can purchase a lock with them on site. They do not hold any keys. - Rent is due on the first of the month and can be paid via customer portal. - Someone lives on-site to help you with all your needs (I did not know this!)

Do NOT trust CubeSmart with your belongings…read more I rented a storage unit at CubeSmart for one year and made the mistake of trusting them with my personal belongings. When I returned to retrieve my items, I was horrified to find that mice had gotten into my unit and destroyed several valuable possessions, including a loveseat, a memory foam mattress topper, and multiple blankets. These were pretty expensive items. I also made sure when I moved my possessions in, that there was no food of any kind. I had paid for CubeSmart's damage protection insurance, assuming it would offer peace of mind in case of unforeseen issues like this. Instead, when I filed a claim, it was flat-out rejected. Despite clear evidence of rodent damage, they refused to take any responsibility or reimburse me. This has shown me that 1. CubeSmart does not protect their units from pests, and 2. The so-called "insurance" is essentially worthless. If you value your belongings and want actual protection, look elsewhere. I trusted CubeSmart and ended up with ruined items, no compensation, and a strong sense of regret. If you have a unit here, I strongly recommend moving to another company. Don't make my mistake!

Wrongful sale of my belongings despite payment attempt and communication…read moreThis review is for Public Storage - 8228 Belair Rd, Nottingham, MD 21236. On January 26, 2026, my storage unit was sold even though I made repeated attempts to communicate and make payment. I called multiple times that morning and left messages trying to find out the exact amount required to stop the sale. No one returned my calls. When I finally reached an employee named Chrissy, I was told my total balance was $1,000.48 and that they would accept a partial payment of $555.00 to stop the sale. I had the $555.00 available and agreed immediately. While attempting to process the payment, my bank showed a system error, which was later confirmed by my bank as an issue on their end -- not a lack of funds. We attempted the payment multiple times. I also tried using another bank card and successfully sent $1.00 to confirm that card worked, with the intention of immediately submitting the full $555.00 payment on that card. Despite these efforts, my belongings were still sold. On January 27th, I called again and begged them not to release my belongings to the buyer. My bank confirmed that the funds would be fully available on January 28th, less than 24 hours later. I explained this clearly and pleaded with them to wait. My unit contained irreplaceable personal items belonging to my deceased parents, which are the only things I have left of them. I would not refuse to pay knowing that. I was later told Public Storage gave me "two extra days," which is not true. My account had already been closed on the 27th, and my belongings had already been released to the buyer. The timeline does not support their statement. I did communicate. I did attempt to pay. I did everything I could under the circumstances. The lack of compassion, accountability, and honesty shown in this situation has been devastating. In my opinion, this was a wrongful sale, and no one should have to lose their parents' belongings this way.its not like i did have the money they can look on payments history they could have delayed the buyer but yet they lied and said they gave me truth extra days the day my things was sold was on the 26th i tryed to pay it it was a system problem on the bank end the 27th of january i talk to an manager that morning and told the promblem i beg him to hold the buyer up because they said the problem woud be fix the very next day which it was thats the 28th of jaunary i had the 555.00 ready to pay the next morning reguardless of how they do things they seen i was paying not lose my things i beg them and the 28th would have been the extra day they claimed they gave they seen i do pay so why not held that buyer off ...sometimes yall need to give people grace and not be so horrible and lieing on people because they did not give me that extra less then 24 hours
