Ken and his helper were late but that was okay since it was early and I was his 1st move. They did not shrink wrap all of furniture so when his helper Mike stacked a short bookshelf and my nightstand on their dolly and it fell, the nightstand was damaged to where one of the drawers is not operable, will not open. He promised multiple times he would take care of the damaged item. That was 12/14/24 and it is now 3/6/25. Now he is not communicating with me, did not respond to my calls, stop responding to my text messages. I did not want to provide a bad review so I waited and waited and waited. Now I'm just mad and disappointed. If I had read his company reviews and BBB complaints before I scheduled my move with Ken, I would have spent my money, including the tip I gave, else where. Ken is full. I would not recommend Ken's Reliable Movers for anything.

I had also texted them to confirm that if they have space left they would pick up the extra boxes (of clothes and miscellaneous items) . When they arrived they packed all items really well but started loading the small boxes and miscellaneous items first. They randomly started throwing things in there as if this was their first gig. In the end they didn't have space for the items they were hired to move. They told me it would take a second trip to pick the remaining items. When they dropped off the furniture I saw that they already had some furniture in their truck which is probably why they didn't fit my stuff. In the end I paid 400 dollars more because they packed their trucks like an amateur and had other furniture loaded before they reached here. The guys were hard working but because of not knowing how to load a truck I ended up paying 400 more dollars. Wouldn't recommend these guys. Maybe this is their strategy to lie to customer and do multiple trips to cheat them..

Beau, the owner, visited us and gave an estimate that was very competitive. Throughout the move process they had very good communication. Before the move, we packed up most of the things ourselves, but Phoenix offered to have some of their office staff pack up the fragile items like dishes and art work on an hourly rate. This really helped! On the day of the move, they were on time and they brought in 10 people to pack the van and get us on our way quickly. When they moved us, they did not consolidate and transfer our things to another van, our things stayed in the same van until it reached its final destination. Workflow: - straightforward online form instead of trying to make a phone call during business hours while at work - email confirmation right after submitting form and again two days prior to the move - as described in their email, on the morning of, I received a phone call within an hour before, informing me that they were on the way - they arrived just before the scheduled time (I was their first move of the day) - I had packed the things I wanted them to move in advance, so I showed them the piles of things I wanted them to move - we signed the contract (all the things I expected + insurance option, with the default basic option as a price per weight reimbursement for any damaged items) - without even having to say much to each other they knew where to start - wrapped all the big furniture in blankets and duct tape - couch cushions were temporarily a little squished as they do during a move, but there were no damages to anything - after the move, I verified that everything had been moved and signed the post-move part of the contract Pros: - perfect workflow for a zellenial who's used to ordering things online and they magically appear - the team understood that my goal was to stay within the 3h, told me it was definitely reasonable, and were ultimately able to accomplish it - paid in cash and exactly as quoted (minus the $75 deposit) with no surprise fees and no extra charge for supplies or gas or stairs
