It was August 2nd and we chose to pay per day rather than per month so we could get the cheaper rate. Apparently when you do that, you can only access the storage during business hours. (They opened at 9.) We had called the day before and the lady did not bother to remind us of this rule. We saw the manager coming from a walk with her husband. My husband was super nice and explained our situation and her husband went off. Yelled and hollered and said the gate wouldn't work because we didn't pay our rent. The manager yelled and cussed at him as well. My first thought is, look, I get it, you live upstairs, you're trying to enjoy your walk and customers at bothering you. BUT you are the manager, you work in customer service, you chose to live upstairs. At the very least, you could have been apologetic and sympathetic, but you weren't. Instead you were angry, bitter, and rude. Now I know this because you are miserable at your job, so I hope for the sake of your health and your marriage, you quit and find your happiness but this isn't it! And by the way, if you were the very last storage unit open and you were giving away free rent for a year, and even threw in free uhauls for life, I wouldn't rent from you. First experience with a storage facility in my 41 years of life and hopefully my last.
