I hired 2 movers and a 20-foot truck. Eugene and Serg were great. They clearly communicated their arrival time and kept me updated via text. There were 2 pick up locations - my storage unit and my parent's house. They had everything from storage wrapped and packed into the truck in 2 hours. With my first move in 2020, there was a bit of a scheduling issue, causing the movers to arrive later than originally scheduled and with a van rather than a truck (I had been told that it would be a truck in order to fit all of my belongings into one trip). Therefore, it ended up taking two trips. However, the owner made things right by only charging me the original rate for one trip. Mistakes happen and I'm fine with it, as long as the company owns up to it and makes it right. And there were no similar issues with my second move in 2026. The guys had furniture wrap and blankets to protect my belongings. During both moves, I did not find anything that was damaged at all. What more can you ask for!? I highly recommend Man With a Van! In fact, I'm likely going to use them again soon to help with some items that I will need to move into storage.

Man With A Van gave my friend two quotes: a cheaper quote for Two Guys with a Van and a more expensive quote for Three Guys with a Truck. My friend sent the more expensive rate for Three Guys with a Truck. But then this dispatcher tried the blame game of "You didn't specify Truck" when to our surprise only Two Guys and a Van showed up. Lemme ask you a question. If I offer you a hotdog for $3 and a burger for $4, and you hand me 4 dollars, wouldn't anyone with a working brainstem assume that meant YOU WANTED THE BURGER? But my friend was sweet and offered: "Maybe y'all can come back tomorrow with three guys and a truck, because it's really a three person job", to which the movers declined. After a quick call, the dispatcher said there'd be no additional charge for extra trips due to the smaller vehicle. What's more is that one of the two Movers had a bad back and couldn't take the stairs like the other dude. So at some points the job is only getting done by one dude (you could argue one-and-a-half dudes). If THREE guys should be able to make the move of loading and unloading in TWO hours, then HALF that much manpower means... you guessed it: it's gonna take at least twice as long! Not to mention they spent extra time stacking things like Jenga inside the van to make it all fit in one trip. Because the job (that my friend agreed to pay $500 for three guys and a truck) took so much longer with one and a half guys and a van, Paul upcharges an extra $300!! Again, my friend is nice, and they're trying to hash this out cause they didn't get what they paid for, regardless of it it took more time. (And again, of course less manpower means more time). But instead of having a conversation with my friend, Paul starts SCREAMING at them, cursing at them, saying "You're Full Of Sh*t!" and threatening legal action immediately! My friend is begging through tears that they want to make this right; begging him to STOP yelling and panicking them. The mover's felt so bad and embarrassed overhearing Paul act like a jack*ss on the phone that one even offered to pay the remainder, but my friend, still shook up and in tears, said that they wanted to make this right and moved what little money they have around to pay as much as they could. We're ALL struggling out here, and the movers def deserve to get paid. I'm sure the dude with the hurt back needs more money and easier hours, but the company is working him to the bone. But to have this dude Paul berate and coerce my friend, spitting venom over the phone? Shouting until my friend is begging in tears for him to stop? I'm never gonna forget that. And this company needs to make things right. The job took long because of Dispatch's mistakes. They sent 1.5 guys to do a 3 man job, without the agreed upon equipment no less. When your house is packed and your relocation is planned, what realistic options do most people have? In my opinion, this felt like a bait-and-switch designed to leave us cornered. Their explanation was that we had extra boxes and totes. What they conveniently overlooked was that we had also REMOVED a refrigerator, washer, dryer, and several other large items from the move. If pricing is supposedly based on cubic feet, those substantial reductions should count too. Their explanation did not justify an increase of more than $5,300. AB also failed to clearly explain when we booked that they were simply a broker. The day before our move, we were told White Gold Moving and Storage, operating as Cheetah Movers, would be handling our belongings. When we looked into that company, we found an F rating with the BBB and alarming customer reviews. This was supposedly AB's "best option." My interaction with the carrier's owner/dispatcher, Eli, made things even worse. He cursed at me over the phone and was extremely rude and unprofessional. That is the person AB selected to entrust with our household belongings. Then there was the deposit. When I booked, I was told it was fully refundable. When we canceled after the last-minute price increase, they pointed to language buried in the paperwork saying it was immediately nonrefundable. What I was told to secure my booking and what they relied on when I wanted to cancel were two completely different things. We canceled within three days of signing the revised paperwork. Rather than accept a demand for more than double the original quote, we found another option. We ultimately used U-Pack and had a great experience. My only regret is giving AB Moving Services our money and trust in the first place. A last-minute carrier change, a price increase of over 100%, an abusive dispatcher, and contradictory statements about the deposit--this was our experience with AB Moving Services. Moving is stressful enough without this treatment. Avoid AB Moving Services. I would never use them again or recommend them to anyone.

The carrier they arranged was supposed to make two pickups with same-day delivery. I was given an 11am to 3pm pickup window. After repeatedly calling throughout the day trying to get an ETA, the movers finally arrived around 5:30pm. By then, the storage facility containing approximately half of my belongings, including ALL of my large furniture, was closed. They demanded I pay the full price for the move. I arrived at my NYC apartment around 11pm with less than half my belongings and none of my furniture from storage. I still tipped the drivers because I didn't blame them personally for the company's scheduling and communication failures. But afterward, I had to take time off work, rent a U-Haul, drive back to Massachusetts, and move the rest myself. After paying thousands of dollars for what they advertise as the "fastest and easiest" way to move, I literally had to pay more money to finish the job myself. Their customer service made the experience even worse. During the move, I repeatedly called trying to figure out where the movers were and received dismissive, unhelpful responses. Afterward, I spent weeks trying to resolve the situation directly and requested a 50% refund. Their response was that pickup windows are "estimates." Of course I understand that. My complaint isn't that the movers were late and I was inconvenienced. They were so late that approximately HALF OF THE MOVE I PAID FOR COULD NOT HAPPEN. They eventually told me they were investigating the situation with the carrier. Then they stopped responding to my emails. I've now had to pursue this through the BBB, an FMCSA complaint, and next a small claims court. All of this could have been avoided if the company had simply taken responsibility and offered a reasonable resolution for a job that was only partially completed. Delays happen. Charging someone the full price for a $3,000 move when your delay prevents half of it from happening, leaving them to rent a truck and finish the job themselves, and then ignoring their attempts to resolve it is something else entirely. Save yourself the headache, the money, and the risk. Look elsewhere.
