When we tried to contact SSM to get answers, they conveniently didn't answer their phone, and the voicemail was full and so we could not leave a message. Wondering if this is a SCAM they work out with the other company and split the extra amount we had to pay? Be wary!

I was assured this was fine. The day of the move, the truck and men showed up an hour late. I was told that it was a window that was assigned to me rather than a specific time. Not true! I was told the truck would be dispatched out of Burnsville and come to our house at time selected. Promises made just to make the sale. When men arrived, we were told they could not move the freezers as they were not defrosted. This was never told pre-move. Freezers were empty however, they did not move them. When given the bill, they had added many fees on that were not discussed pre-move. Moral of story will agree to anything and then not deliver. Movers stepped in mud and cleaned their shoes on carpet that was laid down in the garage. Carpet was completely black. I was left with a job that was only a quarter done and I had to be out of my house that day for a closing! I was desperate! I called around and, as expected, no moving company could help me out and such short notice! I finally called Daymakers and Lisa, who answered the phone, was so sympathetic to my situation; she said she would try to figure it out for me. After about 20 minutes, Lisa called me back and said that 2 of her movers were finishing another job and were supposed to be done for the day but they agreed to come out and help me out of my situation! Unbelieveable! I was so elated and relieved! Two super nice young guys, named Jacob & Shane, showed up in a beautiful, very professional Daymakers moving truck. They were so helpful and courteous! They did everything I needed done so quickly and efficiently! They took the time to wrap all my furniture and were so careful. They could move and do anything...like superheroes!! And they were...They made my day. I guess that's why the call themselves "Daymakers." Lisa called me back the next day to make certain all went well and that I was happy. They really care. Sara would not take my calls but happily took the mankato mgr's call as I sat there. I could not hold over because my lease ended that day. I had several emails, text messages, and recorded phone calls (I recorded) guaranteeing the pickup date of 7/31. I expressed how important this was because of my lease ending, and I was assured they would be picked up that date. I received a call while driving across the country that my boxes would not be picked up that date - 7/31. Then the lakeville office said they were "working on it" and would "call me later." I turned around and drove back to mankato. The mgr at the local office, Jerome, called Sarah Mau in lakeville- who was now suddenly available to talk - and she said there was no way they could help me. No one was willing to contact a third party vendor with a flatbed truck to just pick up the boxes and have them sit at the mankato site until lakeville could come get them. Then I spoke with the mankato regional/district mgr, Christopher Bohlman, and he told me that he does not have to honor the contract pick-up date, and yelled at me. I paid thousands of dollars to have the boxes picked up and - on contract and many written (and recorded on FB e phone) conversations with corporate this would be done according to the contract. Christopher does not want to honor the contract because to do so he would have to spend money with another vendor. First U-Haul said the driver was injured, then he was sick, and they told corporate there was a mechanical issue. They told me 8/2, and told corporate 8/1 because I sat in my car and called corporate for help, and they got involved but to no avail. Christopher is a dishonest businessman, and he is rude. While on the phone with corporate, I found out that U-Haul unilaterally amended the contract today to reflect a pickup date of 8/1/26. I did not sign for this. It is highly illegal to breach a contract and then unilaterally amend its terms. If the U-Haul office signed my name - while I was in my car - we have a forgery issue. This is not how we do things in mankato. Do not trust Christopher or do business with him.

Unfortunately, during the move a leak occurred on a fridge that was moved - the company reconnected the power and the water line, returned the fridge against the wall, collected payment and left. Fortunately, I came back the next day to a vacant house to gather anything left behind, and found a wet carpet, a wet bathroom, wet hardwoods, flood ceilings, damaged HVAC, etc. The carpet is ruined, the hardwoods are ruined in numerous areas. I brought this to Tyrell's attention, and it has been brushed off by him numerous times. The company claims that the water line was "done as a courtesy", which I contest - the service was offered, and was paid for. It is estimated that I have $35,000-$40,000 in damages throughout the house. With that said, I'm not mad that it occurred, I understand these things can happen. What frustrates me is that after repeated attempts to gather the companies insurance information, they have refused to provide it. The companies website clearly notates that "We are a professional moving company in Minneapolis with the required licenses and insurance." It is a requirement that moving companies maintain insurance. It is my right to file a claim. The fact that they have been unwilling after numerous attempts to provide an insurance carriers name, let alone a point of contact or policy number, is highly concerning. I have contacted the Attorney General's Office, Better Business Bureau, Department of Labor, and will continue looking for resources to ensure that this is dealt with adequately. The main job of someone that runs a moving company is to deal with customer issues swiftly, and that has not been the case here at all. I would highly recommend doing due dilligence before hiring Tyrell's crew, they are quick to collect payment, but awfully slow to remediate any customer concerns.
