February is a rotten time to be working outdoors in Minnesota. Phil, Colleen and the StorageMart team carefully listened to our needs and responded with a recommendation within 24 hours. The StorageMart team made sure we understood the terms of the rental and how to gain access. Each detail and instruction provided was delivered for the beginner temporary storage user. We never felt like the storage locker rookies we were. The locker provided met our needs size-wise. I was pleasantly surprised at the cleanliness of the locker and overall facilities. My movers brought stuff down. Then they decided that I couldn't have the truck. They told me that it was only for moving in. They could have told me this at the time I reserved it, before I committed to movers, or any other time. They started smiveling about how instead of trusting them "I should have read the fine print." That is how much they care about customer service and keeping their word. I was out $350 to the movers. The "regional manager" was in the office and was fully aware of what was happening, and agreed that they should not keep their word, that I should have read the fine print instead of taking their word for it when they went through all the motions of providing the truck. This is a nice facility and a good location for me, but If you care about honesty and integrity, stay away, they are liars and snivelers.

This is in the fine print, so read carefully. Then they will continue to increase your rent every few months. When I questioned why I was paying hundreds of dollars more than there advertised rents, they told me I would have to move units every three months in order to get the lower prices. What??! Its not like it is easy to move a room full of furniture. If you are looking for longer term storage, this is NOT the place for you. Additionally, staffing is minimal. When I was there the other day, there was a sign on the office door "Out to lunch. Back at 12:25 pm". When I went back at 12:30 the time had been altered to 1:00 pm. I had to wait about 2 hours in order to talk to someone. Then later that afternoon, I stopped by the office again to return a lock I purchased from them (which broke the first time I used it) and again, there was no one there. I just shrugged and left $20 bucks poorer. Cannot recommend.

They tried to charge me a late fee and even U-Haul said they can't charge a late fee when the truck is on their lot. They then threaten a lock out fee. Yeah that's right for them locking the keys in there trying to charge their customer. All in all the front desk lady was distracted and very rude. Like I said go to power hitch I've never strayed from them until today and I am severely regretting it these people are imbeciles rent at your own risk

He showed me couple different units, gave me a tour of the facility and explained to me everything I needed to know about the process. The first unit I reserved was a little too small for my belonging, so just a day before the movers were coming, I called Eric and he made it very easy for me to upgrade to a larger unit. They even gave me a free lock, I feel that I made the right decision by choosing this facility!
