We'll definitely be staying at this Hilton location again whenever there's an event at the winery!

You can pay $20 for a cook to order hot breakfast or less for a cold breakfast. There were bottles of water in the room but they were $3. Overall, I was not impressed for the price and the Hilton brand. I can say the linens were clean and the room was clean, just worn, needing refreshing. It was quiet.

The setup is nice too with the lobby area and the coffee machine area. They do have a shop, but they don't have beer or wine which is not very smart for a hotel. Customer service is a hit and a miss. Some of the employees are willing to go the extra mile and some are not. That's why I deducted one star. Also, our room was very hot, and the receptionist kept telling us that it takes 10 minutes for the compressor takes ten minutes. An hour later we were still dying (they offered to switch our room). They ended up replacing the heater/AC unit while we were out. The unit was noisy though. Because of the issue with the heat, I deducted one star only and not more because they tried. There's plenty of parking, and the windows are well insulated that if you don't open them, you don't hear the noise. Also they had unique black out curtains that fit in channels that don't allow any light to come through. I need them for my bedroom. We will definitely give them another shot.

We LOVED the layout of our 2 bedroom suite. Truly it felt like an apartment! We appreciated the full size fridge for beverages and lunches for school. While we didn't use the full-size oven we were glad to have that available. The dishwasher was a nice amenity and we appreciated having place settings for 4. I keep calling this a kitchenette, but it really is a full kitchen (but small of course). The common area separated the two bedrooms which was nice for our kids especially so they could have their own spaces during waking hours to decompress. Each bedroom had it's own bathroom which was also much appreciated! Breakfast was included and they had a really great selection! It definitely made my mornings easier getting the kids out to school. They even had a waffle station! Parking was easy, but it made me laugh that breakfast was included but parking was $12 a day....in essentially the middle of a suburban business park! Ridiculous! We were in building 6 and there was significant flooding at least a few times in one section of that parking lot. I wrecked a pair of Birkenstocks at midnight one night checking to see that my vehicle was locked. I thought i was jumping OVER the puddle/avoiding it and ended up in the deepest spot. OOPS! Given what we were dealing with at home, all I could do is laugh quietly and get back to my unit to get dry clothing. A couple days later when it had dried up, I noticed a drain right at the site of the flooding so I suspect there's a larger issue that needs to be investigated. While I can say with certainty our unit was clean (kitchen, beds, bathrooms, floor) our unit could have used a deeper clean in some areas. A part of the fridge we hadn't used definitely hadn't been wiped out. It wasn't a big deal but this was one of a few detail issues that was missed. The unit also was in disrepair. One of the outlets in the kitchen had something blue/green that had been shoved in? I'm not really sure but the entire outlet was unusual. Everything we had with standard plugs did not fit, but rather fell out! Bizarre and truly an inexpensive fix. The bedroom with double doors had very loose hardware, also a simple fix but clearly nobody had bothered to do it. I plugged my phone into the bedside lamp in both rooms and it would charge, but ONLY if the light was on. Once that switch was off to sleep, no more charging. Definitely missed the mark as it seemed like a convenient way to charge a phone. We were staying here because of a fire at our home. I mentioned this to the person that initially checked me in as I was curious if we could extend our stay if needed. Oddly enough we were put in a room right by a smoking section. I'm not a fan of cigarette smoke etc in general so that would have been a minor annoyance but in this case our family is literally triggered and super-sensitive to any kind of smoke smell currently so that was a detraction. No, we did not ask to be moved as there was no guarantee we'd end up in a better location so we were just thankful for the times that area was vacant. Fortunately no odors entered our unit and we are thankful :) We had some billing issues as well. I made the initial reservation and then our insurance company took over the billing and extension of our stay. I still ended up with pending charges on our card. I called the front desk mid-stay about this (from my cell phone as no phones in the room). The charges did drop off the day before we checked out...only to get our folio after checkout showing we'd been billed for the second half of our stay. This was resolved, but I know from hearing breakfast room chatter that we were not the only ones at this property because of an insurance claim. Also, I had to check-in for the extension of our stay and needed to pick a day on the spot to have housekeeping come. Here, you have to request housekeeping. Since I had asked for fresh towels the day prior I declined the housekeeping. I was told we needed to have it so I picked a random day and we were added to the schedule. Well, the day came and I made sure our clothing was in our suitcases and personal effects tidy before we left for school. Came back for bed that night and the unit hadn't been cleaned. It wasn't a big deal, just odd given I had tried to decline the service in the first place :) Had we been here for vacation, I'd probably rate this as a 3 star. Given our circumstances and our gratitude that it was available, convenient and accommodating I think my rating of 4 is definitely warranted.

I feel like I have an apartment with a kitchen, not a hotel room. There is a dining area, multiple tvs, and the desk is large enough for me to work. So grateful. I also LOVE the access to the trail system directly from the hotel, this is so lovely! Strong WiFi in buildings 5-7! There is a lot of random weirdness about. There are random floods/leaks outside- there is one parking spot by my building that is always flooded so nobody parks there. There are also just random mud puddles and holes on the grounds, so I definitely wouldn't bring a kid here. The back lot is also kind of a sketchy gathering place- some stolen cars (recently found by police) and tons of cigarette and marijuana garbage all over. The cops have been here several times during my stay to find stolen cars and arrest people for the distribution of some pretty serious drugs. Avoid staying in buildings 8 or 9 and you should be clear of it. This hotel is VERY smoke friendly. To the point where I feel like they encourage it. The grounds usually smell of smoke and there are always smokers about, including some of the employees. They have smoking stations all over and every picnic table has been taken over by smokers. There are also cigarette butts littered all over the place. If I were staying for a week or so, I probably wouldn't have noticed any of this, but it has become part of the lore I have become apart of in my extended time here.

I got a confirmation email immediately after booking which was convenient. They allowed me to modify my reservation easily when I needed to change my arrival date. The decor and interior design is beautiful, I wish I had taken more photos but I got so sucked in to exploring I barely used my phone this stay. There is not a single bland square inch of this property, everything is thoughtfully curated and well designed. I loved how every wall has hand painted art on it. The lighting both indoor and outdoors is warm and soft, which is such a rare treat in a day and age when everywhere else has harsh cold LEDs everywhere. The rooms are dark but in a comforting and pleasant way. There are large windows that let in plenty of natural light. I was extremely impressed with the cleanliness of the bathroom in our hotel room. For such a wet, humid environment, it is nearly impossible to have a bathroom without mold, yet they accomplished this somehow! My husband and I were fascinated, this is probably the only bathroom we have ever seen in our lives with absolutely zero mold. There was also NO dust in the room whatsoever. We got the Romance Package which included a bottle of champagne (nicely placed in an ice bucket), engraved souvenir champagne flutes, a little box of 4 bite sized chocolates, and some floral massage oil, all of which was placed in the room prior to arrival.I appreciate the pet friendly additions such as placement on the ground floor, doggie bags, and a bowl. The room did not have any pet smell either. All of the staff was incredibly kind and friendly, but Conor at the front desk especially went above and beyond to accomodate us. Even when the front desk was busy and he had multiple phone calls come through, he was attentive and patient with everyone. He also gave us a box for our champagne flutes and a wine stopper for our bottle so we could take it with us. We had one minor inconvenience during our stay and he made sure we were appropriately compensated. Really outstanding service overall from Conor! I also purchased a passport and received a prize for getting all the stamps. It's such a cute little addition that encourages exploration. If you stay here, you absolutley need to view the whole property! The lush landscaping and themed buildings are so special. All of the other businesses and restaurants onsite were amazing, which I will be reviewing separately. We visited 3 restaurants, and all 3 had amazing food. We stayed a total of 2 nights after the holidays and we could not wait to leave. Staff was not rude however we did feel that we were an inconvenience to all staff when we asked questions after basic information was not communicated or easy to find. Access to basic services such as ice or water felt extremely difficult. We could not get ice or drinking water at the hotel building or at the front desk. Water and ice is located in the restaurant and bar on property however those locations did not have the containers to give us these items. Understandably these places get busy and most times asking staff for help would inconvenience them. If you plan on a late dinner specially at Nui Nui please go 2 hours before closing. We arrived a little before an hour before closing and they almost didn't sit us. After they did reluctantly sat us, told us they could only serve us small bites and beer on tap no cocktails. We decided to leave despite us being so excited to try a McMenamins Sea food location. This is one of a couple examples of how staff despite not being rude completely turned us off from the McMenamins experience at this location. The pool is huge and warm, open all day for the hotel guests and time slots for the community. The life guard upfront was the nicest and most helpful staff member throughout our stay. Very grateful for him! Rooms are large and spacious. House keeping will count your towels and will not exchange them for clean ones even if you bring them out to them.

The front desk lady seemed bothered to be bothered when we asked for extra pillows and towels (as they fill the room for 4 guests, but we had 6 with 2 staying on the pull out couch. When I asked when we could get the items (as we had gotten there later in the evening and were trying to settle the kids down for bed), she simply replied, "I'll bring them to you later." So we were left waiting for whenever "later" was in order to go to bed. The room was dated and gross (we had a large STICKY area on the carpet right in the middle of the walkway), but the cleaners did amazing with what they could do. The rooms all need updating. The staff was always really nice except for one person but I think he may have been disabled so gotta give him a break. Parking fees here are killer. Small laundry room given the size of the hotel, plus there were always machines broken. Big gym with decent equipment. Thin walls, you could hear most of what neighbors were saying but muffled. Being on the top floor at least saved hearing footsteps overhead, but the construction in the building would still rattle the walls. Pet friendly for a fee, they were nice enough to discount some fees after I got wrongly charged twice when switching rooms. The dog poop bags were out for almost a month but eventually got restocked. Hardly any grass around the building but a little bit along the busy street. Close to tons of shops, restaurants, groceries, etc. and the freeways. The breakfast options were nothing special but I've had worse. Housekeeping available every couple days or upon request, but they weren't very good about coming at the requested times. Overall the stay was fine despite the gripes. At least I earned a crap ton of Hilton points. Too bad the renovation set things backwards.

From the time I walked into the lobby to check in she was already annoyed from just looking at me. No, "welcome in", or even "hi, how can I help you". Just a stare and a smirk. There were others at the front desk for all my other encounters and they were great. Lorie was amazing. I would retract my 1 star to give them the credit they deserve for being professional and welcoming but this review deserves to reflect upon Fahmida. Hopefully someone at the front desk gets promoted and replaces her position because a lot of business will be lost if she treats people the way she treated my wife and I for our anniversary trip. I know this property is under new management, why not promote someone who has been working there? Instead you bring someone in with a resume but no actual experience in guest services, those ai resume creators are ruining it for the actual people that deserve these positions.
