I reserved a room for a month. When I arrived, my room didn't have a shower curtain. I was given another room. This room was dirty, the kitchenette hadn't been cleaned with food particles in the drawers, etc, but it was late and I was tired so we stayed the night. My wife called the manager the next day and he was going to upgrade us in a new room, blah blah blah. we when to the front desk to get our new room and and the person at the deck was extremely rude and told my wife she needed to learn English. She is from Central America. I wanted to punch him in the neck, but I deescalated the shockingly volatile situation and we spent a second night because it was late again. The next morning we moved out and I asked for a refund and the manger said he would only charge me the two nights at the monthly rate. I checked later and he charged me the nightly rate for two nights. The manager is a liar and the evening front desk dude is a racist. I will never go there again. read more

Staying at Extended Stay was one of the worst hotel stays I have stayed at. When I arrived to my room it reeked, it smelt like someone defecated and continued to smell the two nights I was there. While using the bathroom I found a 9mm BULLET under the sink!! The room was extremely dusty. Not just a couple weeks not dusted but months! It was disgusting. There's hair on the lamp shade. It looked like someone came in and wiped down the counters and made the bed and that is it. The floor had something sticky on it and looked like it hadn't been mopped for a long time. I went down to the front desk and asked for cups and silverware, they told me I had to order it and it wouldn't come until the morning. By then I would be checking out so it was useless. I asked for some disposable cups and the associate came off to me as rude and told me I should have some in my room. After I walked around the corner the associate and another lady started whispering.. I ended up having to go to Arby's and asking for silverware. I would not recommend staying at this hotel. read more

I've used Extended Stay many times before and will never go back to another based solely on my experience with this particular hotel. I had booked a room 2/24-3/3/17. Every night there was a different issue ranging from domestic violence, drunks falling in hallways/elevators and also leaving food all along the way, children riding bikes in the hallway, and the list goes on. One or two instances during the stay would be understandable but every night and to extreme degrees was absolutely unacceptable. And during check out the attendant had stop and go pick up syringes from the parking lot (pictured) Given all these concerns I had hoped to alert management and allow them to rectify the situation. The manager Matt was initially unresponsive and once available offered a laughable compensation. I asked that his manager call me and had scheduled a time. I never received a call. I called and called and no response. I will never go back and am recommending that my company not use them any longer. read more

Had to stay here in between moves for a short period. Nicolette was outstanding! Courteous and always had a smile. We always had everything we needed. Never had to worry. Rooms were clean and quiet. Edit: Despite having had a terrible experience with the manager here, I want to rescind my previous 1 star rating and bump it up to a 2, because the district manager (a very sweet guy named Patrick) personally called me to find out what happened and what he could do to make it better, promised me that he is going to re-train the staff at this location with an emphasis on providing good customer service, and sent me a certificate for a free night. I'm still not thrilled with the manager (who calls customers names?? ESPECIALLY a manager, seriously), but Patrick is a lovely guy who's clearly trying his best to make things better. read more

Worst hotel I have ever stayed in!!!! I wish I could give it a 0 rating. When we first came to the hotel, room 211 smelled like mildew, we opened the windows to let the stank out and tried to let this go. We went out to have some fun for the day and came back home to the beds not being made and no clean towels. The smell of mildew was still present. I wish i could give zero star. I stayed in this hotel for a week and somebody broke my car in parking lot and stole a bag full of my baby clothes. And staff don't even care . I would stay never stay in this hotel. Its most unsafe. And the smoking smell is all over the place. Somehow managed to get a non-smoking room during the great blackout of 2006. The staff at the desk was friendly. The bed was like recently hardened concrete. The shower in room 219 was cold... not freezing, but not warm. But it was warmer than our powerless house, and relatively clean. read more

if you are seeking a room with yes a very firm bed which is alright by me ,quiet and comfortable no frills room at a decent price this establishment is not a bad option. DO NOT STAY HERE. Room was dirty and had a bad smell to it when we walked in. Several places in the room had dust build up like it hadn't been dusted for a year. Shower knob was broken. There's probably no insulation in the walls. I can clearly hear the people's conversation in the room next to me and all there drunk buddies laughing along with how loud there tv is. My wife said the guy at the front desk was rude to her. I was going to ask for my money back but I found out it takes a awhile. I just dealt with it but I learned my lesson. read more

The only reason this property gets a rating of 2 out of 5 is because of the majority of the staff and how friendly and professional they are!!! other than that, I would give the hotel itself somewhere between a 1 and 2 rating. Check in was easy and the front desk staff very friendly. The hotel had some odd smells which are most likely due to guests cooking in their rooms. The beds were somewhat hard and uncomfortable and housekeeping did an abysmal job of cleaning the room as there were black hairs in the bathtub and I even found an old mans cane underneath our bed!!! The construction of the hotel is extremely horrible as we were able to hear loud guests in the room next to ours as well as people in the room above ours walking around. The cupboards were stripped bare of any usable items such as dishes, cups, silverware, etc and we had to request what we needed on a separate sheet of paper. The very first night we were there we were woken up very early in the morning by a housekeeper who kept going in and out of the room across from ours and letting the door slam each time!! When I called the desk about this issue, I was informed in a snippy tone of voice by Anna "Well the maids have to clean the room sometime" to which I replied, yes, but not at 8am in the morning and they certainly don't have to let the door slam every she goes in and out of the room. Anna promised we would receive a call from the hotel manager which we never did. The grab and go breakfast is really pretty much of a joke. Some packets of oatmeal, some apples (no bananas) and some granola bars and coffee. We skipped it for a real breakfast at the Maltby Café instead!! In addition, the Wi-Fi was very weak, the TV remote barely worked, and the water pressure in the shower was extremely weak as well. The online reservation process was a joke as well as I received a discount offer that didn't work even tho it hadn't expired and had to contact someone at ESA to get assistance with this issue in order to book the correct rate I was being offered. The staff at this hotel is Awesome, with the exception of snippy Anna, and I certainly don't hold them responsible for the fact that this is a cheap, poorly constructed hotel with paper thin walls and ceilings and room doors that slam so loudly that they could wake the dead!!! The location is great being right next to a lot of shopping and restaurants as well as just 2 minutes to the freeway. I thank all of the staff for attending to our needs and taking such good care of us, especially Karen who spent a lot of time with me on the phone before our stay and the manager Rachael who addressed the loud maid issue, but unfortunately due to the poor quality of the property, we wont be back. read more

Three stars for the new Signature Suite room. Two stars for my actual stay, a full week in mid-June. Unfortunately only a ground floor Signature Suite room available, no smoking, right across from elevator. Yes, very noisy, throughout the day and night. Same rock hard bed, but new paint, new floor, new bathroom. Occupant in room above mine was also very noisy and stomped around late into the evening entire week. I HATE ground floor rooms. We were put in a room that was not clean, had a non functioning sink that leaked and a puddle in the carpet. We expressed our concerns, were told we would get a new room after it had been cleaned and then we were denied thr room by the manager Susan Santiago who then later accused us of lying and saying we had never communicated with them about our issues. While the service and room was subpar, it was the rudeness and accusatory manager and staff that do not seem to understand the concept of communication that makes this place unacceptable. read more

Great stay while away for business. I have been to this location a couple times and will be going back. It isn't anything fancy but inexpensive, clean and easy to get to. Nice room both times, with a nice restaurant within walking distance. For a hotel in this price range it is worth it. read more

If I could give no stars, I would! TERRIBLE! There was food in the microwave, a dirty fork in a drawer, the bathroom (and shower curtain) reeked of urine, and there was hair in the shower. Also, you have to stay 7 nights before they offer room service. Who has ever heard of such a thing? Avoid this hotel. Staff was beyond rude and the room was outdated and far from homey or cozy. The front desk gal seemed to try and go out of her way to make us not stay, beyond RUDE...We were in a time crunch and with all the options available around there like Holiday inn Express,Comfort inn,RedLion and Hilton just go to them and avoid this place. The hotel is deceiving on the outside and outdated and void of comfort inside. The popcorn ceilings should of been the 1st sign of the condition and the smell in the hallways IS GROSS. We were very disappointed when walking into the hotel. There was a strange smell throughout the hallways that could not be placed. The elevator smelled like urine. The rooms smelled like smoke with a combination of must (including the pillows). My sister and my parents noticed little hairs in the bathtub before jumping into the shower. Some of us cannot help where we stay for the night - Corporate books you a hotel room and you deal with it. If this is the case for you, nicely ask your coordinator to put you anywhere but here. I am honestly tempted to discard every article of clothing that I wore while in this room. The girl at the front desk, Joellen, has been the only saving grace of this stay... someone give this girl a better job! The first room they gave me had not been cleaned... at all! Initially, I noticed that the bed was unmade. I cannot remember EVER walking into a hotel room and finding the bed entirely unmade. Upon further inspection the bedsheets and pillow cases were full of black hairs and debris, and the countertops and kitchen were littered with the previous occupant's trash! I won't even describe the bathroom and toilet seat... it's my hope that nobody vomits while reading anything that I've written. After a call to the front desk to describe the state of the room, Joellen promptly moved me to a room down the hall. She informed me that she had checked the room and asked me to let her know if there were any more issues. Though I'm sure it appeared clean at first, further inspection revealed that the second room, in no uncertain terms, was just as bad as the first (disgusting bedsheets and bathroom). It was entirely out of empathy that I did not request another room change at 1:00 in the morning and slept in my rental car instead. where to start? We will never stay here again thats for sure. On the drive up to the parking lot, litter everywhere. Go into the room and it smells dank and stuffy, open the windows to let the fresh air in, and people outside smoking, so cigarette smoke is rushing in. Checked with the front desk and patrons allowed to smoke as long as 25 feet from building. So, check one for smokers, zero for me as I cant have fresh air in my stinky stuffy room. I think its funny what someone else said about the toilet. It is not man part friendly! Furthermore, when you flush, it sprays all over your legs and feet. Same with the shower, lots of pressure, but the shower head makes it feel like needles on your back and i think more water gets on floor and ceiling than on your body. Kitchen.... there is a full kitchen but i found it odd that there was no utensils, towels, pans, plates... very bizarre. And extremely bummed that there wasnt a small coffee pot with complimentary coffee. (this is shown in the pics by the way) The beds are the most uncomfortable things we have ever had to sleep on. The floor with a blanket would have been softer. No sleep at all for two days straight for all three of us. Towels in the bathroom were like sandpaper. Awful. The pictures are deceitful thats for sure. I wondered if the sheets and blankets were clean because there were long hairs in the sheets that my son slept on. Fans and exhaust vents were thickly covered in dust hair and dirt. I can probably keep going, but if i have saved someone the waste of money in staying here, then my goal is accomplished! Although I am a fan of curry dishes, having the overwhelming smell of curry saturate my room every time the heating unit was on was just too much of a good thing. The rhythmic dripping of the toilet lent to the overall ambiance of the suite, but not to be outdone by the ear-shattering cracks that were emitted from the lukewarm refrigerator, or the percussive rattling of the gutter system. I kept the curry-heat off in the room, and enjoyed the tepid Seattle weather with the windows open, and tried to warm up with a relaxing shower; only to find that the shower maxes out at a shivering 94 degrees. Thank goodness for the kitchen sink, for the bathroom sink did not drain (luckily, the water only came out as a trickle, so we avoided a WaterWorld-esque catastrophe). Every day provided a new and exciting adventure. The washing machines with differing prices, the exposed carpet tacks (to provided a pep in your step to start the day), the singular doling out of the accessory items (found out that you had coffee cups on the last day), and the soothing color scheme of, what I deduced was a combination of Lima beans/mustard?? Overall, if you are teetering on the decision of Extended Stay vs. homeless....I'd grab a tent from Target and save a few bucks. read more

This property sucks. No cleaning service unless you stay over a week or you can pay extra to have your room clean. My room smelled like fried bacon when I checked in so I had to buy febreeze at qfc and spray it literally everywhere. Im 100% sure the bedspread has never been cleaned. Avoid this place at all costs. I have stayed here on more than one occasion with for the most part, satisfactory service. This time has been an absolute nightmare. I checked in on 8/31/16 after booking on line through Extended Stay America.com for a period of 8/31/16 through 9/16/16. When I checked in, I assumed when I booked that I was paying for the entire period that I booked. I was not told otherwise. Coming back after work on Tuesday, 9/6 (suffering from a spastic colon and Crohns), I am faced with needing a bathroom without much notice) to find that my key card would not let me into the building. I tried repeatedly and lost my time to get to my room and a bathroom. I was sitting outside the back door, with feces running down my legs when someone at least let me into the building. There was a note on my door stating that I had a payment due, and my key card would not work to my room. I had to walk the hallway and go to the front desk in my condition. Matt, the assistant manager was a "mannequin", void of any empathy or consideration, and refused to provide me with upper level management contact information. Told me that the Manager "Jason" would contact me the next day for resolution. No one contacted me. I met with Rebecca, at the front desk on Wednesday, 9/7 that indicated that Matt had not informed the manager, nor shared the issue as required to the rest of the staff. There was another note on my door about payment. I inquired as to why no one contacted me via email or phone, and as to why my account was not charged as authorized. She charged my room $766.16, then credited it $670.62. She promised me that she would take care of it. She called me in my room to let me know that my room had been taken care of through Friday, 9/16. Still, no contact from management. Today, 9/12 I came home to another Balance due note taped on my door. Rebecca said they took it away, then she said they don't read the notes, then she indicated that I had to call "Jason" during the work day. I inquired as to why he had not contacted me, as I had provided my contact information, she said "He's busy, you need to call him during the work day". Aside from this, there has not been any Showtime as advertised from 8/31 through yesterday, when it came on. Inquiring from Matt, he said "it comes and goes, we never know when it will come on". I asked about FOX TV as I am a huge Seahawk fan, he said "we don't get that channel, it is a management issue". He refused to give me any contact information for management, names or anything. The customer service here is horrific, my issue unresolved and I have contacted an attorney to resolution. What has happened to me during this stay has been traumatic, harassing, and completely unresolved. Rebecca indicated that it has gone downhill, which she did not need to, I have experienced the worse of it. This is horrific. I have spent years in resident management and would never have been able to have a successful business in this manner having never been treated so horribly and without contact from upper management and such poor, untrained staff to handle these issues. Am extremely confident that I will need to move forward with the attorney I contacted for any resolution. I will post my experience everywhere possible on the internet to warn potential customers about this establishment. It is appalling, shame on you all. Interesting that I tried to post a "complaint" on Extended Stay America.com and it would not allow me to, kept taking out the reason for my post and would not allow me to post it.
