Everything was super organized leading up to the day: the planning, calls, questionnaires, and working with our venue were all really straightforward. My only small tip for future couples is to mention if you prefer shorter edits during the high-energy dancing sections (this applies to every DJ I have ever heard at a wedding btw). Something like keeping songs to no more than two choruses. Even with that, the vibe stayed amazing all night, and so many of our guests came up to us saying how much fun they had and how great the wedding felt. When searching for a DJ, we wanted a bilingual English/Cantonese emcee. It is slim pickins' out there, ya'll. But that's when I found Exquisite and also realized it was the same company used for my friend's wedding, and we remember thinking that they did a good job. They also have photobooth services, and I also remember liking their photobooth because the pictures were high quality with a classy background (and not cheesy like some can be), so it basically killed two birds with one stone. Cathy was our emcee and Edmund was our DJ. About a week before the wedding, we met with Cathy and she had drafted an entire schedule of events for us, which was extremely helpful. On the day of, she also helped keep us on track, which was much appreciated because as you know, the day is very hectic and just flies by in the blink of an eye. There were a few slight hiccups (i.e. they forgot giant photo booth prop heads we had them make of us, no party favors as mentioned in the contract, and I don't think they coordinated with the maitre'd well enough - for the ceremony, I wanted to walk down the aisle at a very specific point in the song, but the maitre'd had me and my parents come out of the doors too soon - so all of the guests were literally just staring at us for an entire minute, waiting for us to walk). I would definitely recommend Exquisite. We were referred to them by my cousin, who also hired them for his wedding. We used them for MC, DJ, officiant, and photo booth services. Everything was so organized. The MC, Cathy, was very personable and made us feel like we've known her for so long. We love her attentiveness and she catered to all of our needs and wants. She knows how to hype up the crowd with her big energy, and she was assertive and authoritative, but not mean.  She also joked and played around, and very patient with us when we were running off trying to get a drink or two. I have a big Chinese family, and Cathy was able to speak in English and Cantonese, which made my family feel very comfortable. The DJ, Edmund, was awesome. He played our Playlist and added songs that was in our preferred genre. We also had a lot of kids at our wedding, and Edmund was able to cater to the kids genre as well. During our entrance, we had given Edmund our song start time. However, we didn't account for the long stairs expansion that took close to 1 minute, so our entrance song played but we weren't making our entrance in yet. I love that when we were about to make our entrance down the stairs, Edmund had seamlessly replayed the part where we had wanted our song to start, and it was perfect. The photo booth attendants were super friendly and very helpful. They would remind us to choose the props and countdown for us. They also helped to adjust the lens to be closer for fewer people or farther for a bigger group. For my wedding this year, Exquisite NY was our vendor for photobooth, DJ and MC. I cannot recommend them enough, especially for a once-in-a-lifetime event. They really elevated the experience. Here are some highlights: Thoughtful Wedding Consultant: Our point of contact was Cathy and also our MC. Prior to the wedding, Cathy helped with recommending vendors of which the videographer she recommended was who we went with. Additionally, Cathy provided guidance and advice on day-of wedding flow. For example, our parents were anxious types and didn't want to dance in front of an audience so we nixed the concept of parent / child dances. Cathy suggested we do a group slow dance at the beginning of the reception which would allow us to dance with our parent among a larger group. That slow dance became a highlight for many and set the tone for the rest of the reception. This was the type of advice Cathy gave several times and our wedding was much better for it. Incredible DJ: DJ Edmond crushed the music. We gave him a list of what guests had requested + several genres we loved dancing to. He took care of the rest. I had about a dozen of my guests come up to me to tell me how great the DJ was. We danced for 3 hours straight. I would pay cover to go to a club where he DJs. Enthusiastic MC: Cathy brings ENERGY as an MC. It felt like she was an announcer of a live show. We were pleasantly surprised by this and added to our goal of making our wedding have a fun vibe to it. I gained full confidence and saw how meticulous she was by all the questions she asked and the questionnaires that she sent over. MC: Cathy acted as our MC and officiant. We first witnessed Cathy and her team's work firsthand when we were a guest at another wedding. Seeing how well she was able to manage the crowd and rowdy (already buzzed) guests- we thought they were quite professional in the way they handled the room. We met with Titus initially to hear more about their packages. I actually regret not having booked their photo booth, because we utilized another vendor, and it did not give us the same experience as Exquisite's did. We elected in a package consisting of: emcee, DJ, a slideshow, and free glow stick giveaways. Once we finalized the package and contract, Cathy connected with us to discuss our wedding vision and plans. Their plan was simple after the discussion- send them their hw back, and then we review as needed closer to the date. Unfortunately, my husband was hospitalized most of September 2019- and we were getting married on 10/27! When I spoke to Cathy about what we would do if he was out of the hospital on time (which he was), she informed me that they've helped couples out on their wedding days in cases like his. I wish I could give 10 stars. My husband and I were searching for a DJ/MC for our wedding at Jade Asian. From the moment we met Titus and Billy, we knew they would be our DJ/MC team. They were honest, attentive and understood what we were looking for. We needed to have our MC speak a bit of Cantonese and trusted that Titus could nail it for us. They also understood the style of music we wanted at the wedding. Titus provided great recommendations. It was so easy to chat with them that we went over our appointment time! We cannot thank the Exquisite NY team enough for making our wedding day a perfect, wonderful and magical experience. The feedback from our guests has been phenomenal and nothing short of amazing. The program was smooth and on time. The music was great. The guests had a blast and the dance floor was popping. You know its good when you see the grandmas and grandpas on the dance floor. The mix of English and Cantonese was spot on - a perfect blend for our Chinese American wedding. Titus made me feel so relaxed and at ease. Everything was so easy to follow and there were no hiccups. My wife and I were recommended Exquisite NY by our venue's banquet manager at Sand Castle. When we met up, we sat down with Cathy, Billy and Titus. All of them were nice and sold us on their services. In the end, we decided to go with Exquisite NY for their experience at our venue and the way they delivered their sales point. Along with the DJ and MC services, we also used Exquisite's photobooth service and the projector service, which I'll touch on it later. When crunch time came, Titus discussed our wedding schedule run down with us and made sure we were on the same page. At times it was difficult getting a response from Titus through email, but I would text Billy and things got sorted out. On the day of the wedding the DJing by Billy was great. The MCing by Titus was clear and he kept on top of things. As for the photobooth. Our guests had a lot of fun. The backdrop we picked was superb. The booth's prints were fast and quality was nice. People kept going back for more. The projector service was a late addition. We wanted to play a montage, but Sand Castle only offers the 4 TV screens that are already mounted to the wall. We wanted a closer experience. Exquisite brought a projector screen and set it up at the middle of the dance floor. All of our guests were able to see and the moment was captured by our photographer. My fiance and I are getting married in April 2020 and knew that finding an MC that suited our needs would be difficult, so we wanted to start the process early. After doing extensive research, we wound up with a shortlist that included Exquisite NY. We reached out to their team and after several rounds of emails (we had to follow up a few times due to a lack of response), we had an introductory meeting with Titus. The packages presented to us were not as competitive as other MCs, so we decided to take a few days to think about it. We had some additional questions so asked to hop on the phone. We wanted to see if we could customize the packages a bit to potentially bring down the cost (let's face it, every penny counts when you're planning a wedding). Cathy, who was working to facilitate all the conversations, told us that she would get back to us after she talks to the rest of the team (Billy and Titus). We tried to be as patient as possible and waited for over a week before following up again. Their response was that their pricing was non-negotiable, which we were willing to accept. In our last email to Exquisite, we told them we were close to making our decision and confronted them about one review that had been left for them from a few years back (you can find it too if you sort by lowest rated). Basically, the couple that actually booked them was shown the same lack of response that we were. It honestly seemed like an exception rather than the rule, so we brought it up the team to give them a chance to tell their side. Instead of handling, they emailed us back and told us that they met with another couple that had the same wedding day as us and they booked on the spot, which meant that neither Cathy nor Titus were available anymore. I find that hard to believe considering that they handle separate weddings. It seemed that they just didn't want to deal with us being so "difficult". We understand that Exquisite probably has a lot of clients and things may be hard to juggle, but pretty much all of the competition out there has other day jobs and is MCing as part of a side hustle. While Exquisite did check off all of our boxes, we luckily signed with another vendor that showed sincerity in wanting to work with us. We were extremely disappointed by their lackadaisical approach to handling our potential business and hope to give a fair warning to couples that are looking to fill their wedding needs. There's enough stress to deal with and an unresponsive vendor should be the least of your worries - especially if you're compensating them for their work. read more

Not only was the team very professional but they help make the night successful. This is gonna be long so if you want the main stuff go to the bottom. Precovid- I was in charge of finding a DJ and was recommended to the exquisite team through a friend. To be fair I was looking around beforehand, trying to see who was right for the job and what was being offered. We set up a meet and Cathy was great, explained everything. And exquisite pretty much had everything we wanted for our wedding- DJ, photo booth, MC that was bilingual. They weren't being pushy or pressured us into anything. Fast forward- covid hit, we had to halt the wedding. But we did get our papers done and as we were scrambling to find someone we remembered- Cathy was an officiant! And in true 2020 fashion- she was our officiant over zoom. She walked us through everything beforehand and everything went well. Big plus- my parents (who spoke canto) and Cathy had a good long convo. As our wedding got closer, we were getting stressed and stressed. Between our work, dealing with our venues and covid rules, we were out of it. Cathy spent a couple of hours detailing the timeline of our wedding, what we wanted, our ideas, how we wanted it to feel and planning it along with us (mostly the wife) and guiding us helped us felt like the big day was gonna be amazing. Wedding day- as most ppl were telling us "it's gonna go by quick, you won't remember much". With cathy helping us coordinate, not only our timeline, but with our vendors- we were able to enjoy our wedding day moment after moment. The music was great, Billy (DJ) definitely felt what our family and friends vibe and kept the night going. Cathy was great throughout the night and was very attentive to me and my wife the whole time. And honestly we think they enjoyed us as much as family and friends, at least I hope so! read more

We chose Exquisite NY because they were familiar with our venue (Russo's on the Bay) and the MC (Cathy) is fluent in both English and Cantonese. Our package (the Gold Experience Package) included truss lighting, dance floor lighting, a powerful speaker system, a DVD montage, and an extra large projection screen for the video of our wedding ceremony. We also added on an open photo booth, which was a must have for us. Exquisite NY worked with us to make sure the event went exactly as we wanted, and helped make sure we did not spend money on things unnecessarily. Before the event Cathy sent us a schedule and spent a few hours on the phone going over and tweaking things with us. On the day of the event the DJ (Billy) did an excellent job of reading the crowd. The music always seemed to be just right for the moment. Cathy was superb at keeping the evening flowing effortlessly. Did excellent work for the wedding! Had an amazing time, and made all the guests happy to be apart of the experience. MC was amazing, perfectly bilingual, energetic, friendly, informative (with explaining Chinese traditions to the non-Chinese folks in the crowd), and she kept the whole night running smoothly. Did a great mix version of the electric slide, along with recent songs, or popular songs and artists, and even some nostalgic/goofy songs like that Carlton dance from the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air song/dance. Definitely recommend Exquisite NY for your wedding. We had Cathy as our MC during our wedding in August. It was humid, it rained but Cathy definitely made everything better. She goes through every step and every detail with you up until the day of. Cathy went above and beyond the call of duty. Theres a lot of things that we were worried about leading up to the wedding, but we can confidently say Cathy was definitely not one of them. She was extremely respectful to our families and extremely helpful during our day as well. She kept the party going and had our guests engaged and entertained.
