Eagle One thinks these failures are ok and they noted I will get new glasses in a few months but NOT FROM THEM. Brief history: I purchased these frames two critical reasons and a third. First the fit nice and snug. Due to my lenses glasses often slip down my noise, a significant issue for me. Purchased two pair on 10/22/2024 for $966.00 First pair picked up 11/3/2024, and second on 11/13/2024 I believe between 11/13/2024 and Feb 20, 2025 there were several visits regarding frames slipping. The first day I have notes of frame issue is Feb 20, 2025. I believe there were several visits from Feb 20 to July where I went in due to frame slipping down. I finally figured out why the glasses were slipping down my noise and I would have to push them up 3-5 times per hour was on July 17, 2025 when I compared the two frames, one had the rubber ear section and one had them missing. First frame replaced. On Aug 4, 2025 frame replaced again On Aug 13, 2025 another frame replace (waved $25 fee) On Sept 8 2025 both frames were replaced, and I meet with Eagle Vision One Management to bring up the issues. No options as it was outside the 30 or 90 day window. (waved the $25 fees) On Oct 22 Frame failure again, replaced with display model (offer to pay the 25 fee but waved) They would have allowed me to choose new frames if they had failed within 90 days. Quality products are not their game.

My senior disabled mother came in to Eagle Vision one for a new patient exam in May, to understand if her prescription may have changed as it had been about two years since she'd been seen by anyone. She was having difficulties seeing with her eyeglasses. She had eyes checked by Dr Gideon C. Bender, OD; and was told her prescription had changed and also she had dry eyes, so eye drops were also prescribed. We ordered new lenses through the clinic, using what the doctor prescribed, (as common when a prescription changes). When the lenses came in a few weeks later in June, she brought them her frames so the new lenses to be cut and mounted. When she tried them on, one eye worked fine and yet, the other eye's lense was unable to see anything at all! So, they checked to see if the lense was put in wrong and the prescription was right - it all was aligned. She could still not see out of the right eye! So, they put her old lense back into her frame for just the right eye and left the new lense in the left. We paid for two lenses but walked away with only one lense that actually worked! I said the dr needed to figure this out, because she should be able to see out of BOTH lenses, based on her exam just weeks prior - the lenses werw ordered based on what HE prescribed! We were called back later that day by the front desk clerk and told the response they got from the doc was to tell us that because she had previously had cataract surgery, it was that which was failing. YET - AT NO TIME during her initial appt was this converyed to her! It seemed like a CYA situation - not being able to see out of the prescibed lense, was blamed on my mother - as the patient?! She did nothing wrong to deserve this kind of failure in medical care! It seems highly predatory to charge someone for prescription lenses and yet the prescription itself, does NOT do what it's supposed to! If cataracts actually were an issue - we should have been told this AT HER INITIAL APPT and given options for correction of this DURING THE INITIAL DR. VISIT! I was shocked that an educated doctor would respond to anyone this way! I told them my next steps would be reporting the incident, because I couldn't tell if this was malpractice or malicious or a civil rights violation due to my mother being senior and disabled! The Dr called us the next day and left a msg to discuss, but after what was told to us by his staff - we had heard enough! We have yet to hear back from them on a re-exam or correction of her prescription lense, at all. My mother is using an old prescription lense for just one eye and the new lense in the other. We are unsure what kind of long term damage this may be causing her. I witnessed everything at both appts because i am her caregiver and am with her for every appt due to her hearing loss and need for assistance! She's on Medicaid so the lenses were fully covered, but she only got one replacement lense that actually worked - and they charged her for both!! unsure if this could be considered Medicaid fraud when the optometrist doesnt give the correct prescription and charges for two lenses when only one was actually received - but it's definitely negligent on their part, to give an exam and a new prescription that doesnt work! We are reporting all to the state licencing board, Dept of Health & Welfare and the Atty General's office, as well! Our next steps to retain legal assistance may need to wait until we can get a second option by a new Dr. She's deaf too - she needs to fully see again to help her live life - Its just not right to treat people this way and offer nothing more to help make it right! This is not on the staff - I believe in these cases, it's the optometrist and his negligence that should be investigated!

I'm confident in saying that Six One Six is by far, one of the best vision care facilities I have ever been to. I came here because they were one of the few places that took my horrible vision insurance from a previous job I had. I finally moved companies and now have exceptional coverage, yet found no reason to switch providers, regardless of the abundance of in-network and closer vision options to me. I have never experienced any issues regarding care, appointments, communication or billing in the 4 years I've been a customer. In fact, I've experienced exceptionally personalized, professional and authentic care from day one. I've had the absolute pleasure of being Dr Shelby Strick's patient from the get-go and am consistently comforted by her attention to detail, assurance and easy-to-understand explanation on everything I'm experiencing. Allie is usually the one that takes care of me with picking out eyewear, fittings and reviewing my bill. Artisan appears to be divided into two separate parts as business; the opticial (eyeglasses) and…read morethe optometry services of the doctors which seem to be separate side-by-side buildings. Reading Yelp reviews sorted by date ("newest first"), I observe that in what seems like a pattern of 1 and 2 star reviews in the last 18 months or so, the dissatisfaction is with the optical side of the business not the optometry side. This review is for the optical side based on multiple visits looking for eyeglass frames. EYEGLASS FRAMES: Artisan is the only supplier in SW Idaho for certain top-shelf artisan frames such as Theo, Face a Face, Bevel, Anne et Valentin and Barton Perreira that can run from $375 to well over $500. Some of these brands make designs that are bold and high fashion forward and some make designs that are classic but timely (my zone) out of beautiful acetate and metals with hand crafted excellence. I am at a point in my life where I both appreciate the top quality of these lines and can afford to pay for them. But I won't be buying frames here due to service issues. And pricing policy where at least some frames were quoted at about 15% above full retail. We'll call these snafus that eroded my trust in this retailer. SNAFUS: Service seems somewhere between untrained (as in "I don't know" when asked where one brand was made and what was the warranty...I now know because I contacted the maker directly) or indifferent (as in "I'm not sure" when asked if a frame came in other colors...I now know the answer because I went to the web site and looked up the model) or dismissive (as when the distribution rep for one line was in town for trunk show and rep and staff were more engaged in talking about how tickets were scored for concert that night than helping customers). On one ocassion I did find a frame but it was in the wrong color for me and when I asked if they could order a color that seemed the right one I was told only if I paid a hefty deposit which was not refundable. (For a frame that was over $500 in price.) On another occasion for a different brand given on one pair of frames I inquired about the price Artisan quoted me was more than $50 above full retail price when I contacted the company direct to confirm. Tilt. My point with the companies who make these lines might be if they wonder why they aren't selling them in Boise, the second fastest growing city in the US, in the way they are in Portland, Seattle, Salt Lake or San Francisco they might look at how their only retailer displays, represents and prices them. Maybe they need to evaluate their distribution rep too. DISPLAY ISSUES: Looking for frames here is awkward given they have them only behind / inside glass cases...as if one were shopping in a jewelry store...and needing help to get to the merchandise one cannot browse and examine options on one's own. I've noted how some customers are left waiting for long periods in spite of multiple staff being in the room. Noting Jim C's 1 star review on his recent (December 2019) experience here and I can say I have observed customers being treated similarly to what he describes. PROCESS PUFFERY: What makes me chuckle, in the way of they must be kidding, is that on Artisan's web site they mention how a customer can come in for a free, personal style consultation to talk about the right frames for them. Isn't this what any good trained optician does when one goes in to shop in any eyeglass howroom? And more to chuckle - or groan about - is if one goes to Artisan's web site to look at click thrus to brand information there one will be bombarded with "Can I Help?" pop ups for attempts to make a sale via that channel. Go figure. There seems puffery at the bricks and mortar Artisan that would be comical were it not so frustrating to have them be the only authorized retailer for brands I like. ONWARD: I moved on to a bricks and mortar retailer elsewhere to buy two frames in brands carried here. It was less convenient for me but I received stellar service and was not charged above retail prices as I was quoted here. PARKING: Private lot. ADA parking at far end of the strip mall on both ends. ACCESSIBILITY: All on one floor. The counters for trying frames in the retail area appear to be all at standing height. (This is a "tilt" for ADA non-compliance in this new space and the equal access law is 30 years old.) The loo is accessible. ALTERNATIVES: Although one will not find the same top end lines in these other local shops, for top notch service alternatives for those looking for eye wear across price points and skilled optical staff in knowing product lines and assisting customers and quality lens making, I'd recommend Vision One in Eagle and Meridian and also Six One Six in Eagle. First class service.

We had already been to two other places in town to purchase eye glasses from and walked out. Maybe it's because of our age, we just expect better customer service and as we've experienced lately, it's just not there anymore. The front desk greeting was fair to Midland. It felt like they were bothered that we showed up. We were told to look around at all of the frames and someone would be with us shortly. As we perused the displays, they really don't list the prices on their frames, just code numbers. We finally found a couple of frames and then we were greeted by their sales representative. Then here comes the craziness. To get all of the additional options for your eyeglasses, my cost was $990 for one single pair of glasses. Insurance did its job in getting me these glasses for free, but seriously folks, $990 for glasses? I bought a no nonsense pair of frames. They weren't even a famous brand name I recognized and they were $320. That just crazy, it's just plastic. Well, we were finally done. Now the bad news. It's going to take them 3 weeks to get my glasses made and sent to the store. That's way too long. Everywhere I've ever shopped in the past for eyewear has only taken them about 1 week to turnaround and get them back to me. 3 weeks is way too long to wait for eye glasses in my humble opinion. I'm on the fence here. This was our third stop for eye glasses. We almost walked here too, but we caved in and just wanted the madness to stop. We just wanted eyeglasses, nothing more, nothing less. I really can't recommend this facility. I wasn't really impressed at all with their service team or their selection of eyewear. They only seemed to carry overpriced name brand frames. And don't think you are going to find something really splashy or something trendy with a lot of color here. This was all middle of the road boring frames. Just because we get older doesn't mean we don't appreciate style and color. Parking was easy, this shop is in a medical building on the first floor. Get your wallet out, this place is very expensive if you don't have great insurance coverage!

During the exam, Dr. Ball informed me that my prescription had changed, with my left eye's measurement shifting from -2.50 to -7.50. He also did not compare my old prescription to my new one so I could compare the 2. After returning home to Tennessee, I took my prescription to Sam's Club in Bristol, Virginia, to have my glasses filled. I ordered a regular pair of glasses and a pair of sunglasses, totaling nearly $600, and let's not forget about the 1.5-hour drive each way from my home. When I picked up my glasses, I tried them on as usual. While I could see well for reading, my distance vision felt hazy, as if I were looking through a cloud. The staff suggested I wear my old glasses for the night and give my eyes a chance to adjust. I followed this advice, but the next morning, I still experienced cloudiness with the new glasses. After wearing them all day in an attempt to acclimate, I covered each lens to check for clarity. I found that my left eye was significantly blurry, indicating that the issue was with my new prescription glasses. Consequently, I scheduled another eye exam in my local area, which I also had to pay for out of pocket. The new doctor conducted a thorough examination and concluded that my prescription had not changed at all. This meant I would need to make another three-hour round trip back to Bristol, Virginia, to have a correct prescription filled. Additionally, I realized I would not have needed to order new sunglasses, as I already owned two pairs that were suitable based on my existing prescription. On the other hand, I do require new regular glasses, as my current pair is scratched and approximately five or six years old. After my recent eye exam, I contacted Kelly, the manager at Tree City Eyecare, to explain the situation regarding my prescription. She informed me that she couldn't assist me immediately but promised to consult with the owner, Dr. Jaimen Dixson, and get back to me the following day. When Kelly called the next day, she relayed that the owner would not take any action. I expressed that I was not seeking a full refund; I only requested reimbursement for my second eye exam. I explained that I had incurred over $800 in costs when it should have only been around $430, not to mention the inconvenience and travel expenses involved. Kelly suggested I return to Idaho for a re-examination, but I declined. I offered to show her my receipt and the new prescription as proof that I had been misdiagnosed and that it was unreasonable for them not to cover my new eye exam. I emphasized that this situation reflects poorly on their business practices, as I am a business owner myself.
