With salons reopening I called a few stylist who worked on my hair through the years and not one of the 3 stylist I contacted returned my call neither did the 4 hair salons. Finally I remembered Chimene. She had done my hair in the past but when I changed jobs my hours made it difficult to see her. I crossed my fingers and reached out via text 6am on a Thurs, she responded in 15 mins, had an opening 3 days later and to my surprise she reached her goal and obtained her hair loss license because hair care is her passion. The scalp detox, oxygen treatment is detailed and effective. I could actually feel my scalp breathe for the first time in months it seems. The hair extension service I used to get had been discontinued but because Chimene is a consummate professional she grandfathered the service for me and did it anyways. I learned as well. I was taught what I eat plays huge factor in not only health but it effects the hair. I left there feeling like a new woman. Also her wig making and styling skills are top notch. I am ABSOLUTELY OBSESSED NOW. My sister got a Keratin treatment from Jaymi and it came out really good. She has very thick hair that's almost down to her waist and has a hard time finding anyone who has the patience and is willing to take the time to do a good job with the keratin treatment (it's a very long tedious process)... my sister also doesn't like to talk during her processes and she said Jaymi picked up on that pretty quick and didn't make her talk which she absolutely loved. I also appreciate that I was offered the option to have the fee waived if I rescheduled. However, because the next available appointment is quite a while away, that option unfortunately doesn't resolve the situation for me. This was my first time being late, so I had hoped there might be some flexibility or a one-time courtesy waiver. I completely understand the need to protect your appointment schedule, but as a customer, the way this situation was handled left me feeling very disappointed.

I needed some custom clip-in extensions for my wedding, as my hair has a highly specific thick, coarse, curly texture, and complex mixed-blonde color. I went in for a consultation - and when I say Gia's an extension guru, I mean it. Together, we crafted the perfect mix & match set of extensions, fully curated - including length, density, texture, highlight and lowlight colors / tints - to my exact hair needs. She was even able to fully match the texture to my specific curl pattern! The package was *barely* more expensive than purchasing a NON custom pre-made package from somewhere like Bellami. So worth it. When I received the extensions, I could not BELIEVE the quality. The color, the curl pattern, the texture and density... all perfect. I can wear them as-is to match my natural curls, or wash and blow dry them straight to be styled however I please (which is what I did for my wedding)! I was also on a time crunch - Stitched promises a 2 week turnaround for extensions, and when the process was taking a little longer due to the factory losing power, Gia personally saw to it to expedite as fast as humanly possible, texting me with constant updates and the tracking number once she received it. Since my wedding was out of town, she also offered expertise on my own personal hair coloring appt before the wedding, as well as best practices for extension placement, styling and care. If I were in town, I would've for sure had Gia do the installation of them as well. I felt so held by Gia throughout the entire process, and am SO happy with the final product. What prompted this review was that I just got married in April and he did such an amazing job on my hair... working with a very tricky headpiece and veil (combination). He also did my maid of honor/sister's hair as well (she's the only person I had in my bridal party, but he showed me lots of LARGE wedding parties that he's also done). I had my hair trial with him about 1 month before the wedding and we talked through pictures of what I liked and he provided lots of great ideas and feedback about why certain things wouldn't work for my hair type - "that girls' hair is much shorter... thinner... thicker.. etc ...than yours" and always would recommend how he might tweak it (if that's what I really wanted). Although he had LOTS of suggestions, he also listened to what I wanted in the end and what felt most "like me." I knew that I wanted the little "snooky poof" incorporated into my updo and he made that work with all of the other elements - the veil, the headpiece, and what we chose to do for the back of my updo. I would HIGHLY recommend booking Al for your wedding OR just for your cut and color. I've been just about every color, length, and style cut under the sun and I wouldn't trust ANYONE else to do my hair. Book early though, he's really busy and I think he works Wed-Sat...
