Finding a new stylist can be difficult, especially when you have curly hair and need someone who really understands how to work with it. This was such a wonderful experience from start to finish. My curls looked and felt amazing, and I finally feel like I've found someone I can trust with my hair. I'm looking forward to my next appointment and highly recommend giving them a try

Prior to becoming her repeat client, I was paying competitive prices for highlights and I was always stuck in the yellow stage. I don't know how Nikki does it, but she has brought me to a pale blonde, not yellowish, that I was always looking for. Nikki is an expert in fantasy color, but she's exceeded my expectation in my blonde color. I haven't written a review in a while, but I had to write after our appointment last week. Not only did Nikki knock it out of the park once again with the color, but she also cut my hair. She did as I asked and gave me long layers. I'm very pleased with her work and would recommend anyone to see her.. You'll love her as much as I do.

When I walked in last week, my hair was in a state of winter despair, flat, tired, begging for a refresh. She assessed immediately and got to work. I happen to have a Groupon and made an appointment to come in and get a wash, haircut and deep…read moreconditioner treatment (according to the Groupon.) I walked into a very warm and family-esque environment, sweet ladies, conversations back and forth, was really surprised that this place even existed. Its a hidden gem off the corner of Rt 1, not much to look at immediately, but a traditional mom and pop kinda salon feel when you walk in. I arrived early, my hair-dresser finished up a little late, was in no rush so I was completely understanding. She listened to my concerns about getting a trim, cutting the dead ends off. She decided it was easier to do this after washing and styling and doing a dry cut. I trusted her expertise and went ahead with it. The wash was a bit rushed, there was an odd smell from the sink area, though I imagine it was because of the hair-dye that was lingering in the salon (it's a small place.) She conditioned following the wash, I didn't get a deep conditioner treatment but didn't make a point to say anything out of courtesy. She followed up with taking me back to my seat and immediately started to tackle the blow-dry in my very thick long hair. She did style is beautifully, she cut some of the ends off, she suggested my hair was in rather decent shape and didn't need much. I accepted her opinion, she was very polite and kind, and she finished up and offered some nice suggestions on how to close up my split ends. I closed off my tab with the Groupon, gave her a $10 tip and went on my way. Overall, not a memorable experience, I felt the whole thing (minus the hair styling portion) was rushed, I didn't get the deep conditioner which would've really been nice for my thick hair, and lastly, I could've honestly had more trimmed off my hair. She said it didn't need much, but when I got home I saw and felt the straw ends that really should've just been cut off. I'm going to have to wait a little bit and get a proper cut to make sure the dead ends are off. They're all very nice people here, I imagine they're amazing at their craft in different areas, my experience isn't necessarily a reflection on poor service, more-so could've just been an off day or maybe just bad luck with my hair.

I initially chanced upon her when I couldn't always travel to my favorite hairdresser (airplane states away) and then she became my favorite after trying so many other local salons. She has seen me through short hair, medium and long - grey, blonde, white, and blonde. I love that she offers 'organic' color that is a bit better for me, her, and the planet. She is a great colorist and a teacher. I can favorably compare her to my experiences with Sassoon salons, local Newbury others, and my own favorite love in SF (ok, I miss her the most.) And that's the 4 stars. Because I love my SF stylist but she has a closed list of clients and is accross a continent away. PS. But Kimberly is much more welcoming!
