Beyond pleased with my towing service through AAA. The tow driver contacted me to verify my location since I was in a rural area and gave me me an ETA within 15 minutes of requesting a tow. About 5 minutes later, their receptionist called and gave me an update. They arrived within there window which was way less time than I thought it would be. The drivers name was Manuel, and he was extremely polite, professional, and kind. He quickly hooked up my van, and he got me to my car repair shop. I highly recommend this business, and I hope they realize what a great employee they have, because he did an excellent job today!!! I am so grateful for his help and kindness. read more

Called AAA to tow my truck. We waited 2 hours for this guy to show up after AAA said it would be no more than 1 hour wait. The guy arrived and said AAA wasn't going to cover the tow. He tried giving all excuses as to why - flat tire, not operable, no windshield. We told the guy that we have used AAA to help us with this exact truck in the same condition 2x before with no issues. The guy said his supervisor told him we have to pay cash for it, but the tow driver didn't even take pictures of the truck to show his supervisor. When we said we weren't paying for this and want this to go through AAA, he said he would call his supervisor to work it out, and then just drove away without saying anything. After reading reviews, it seems Express Towing scams everyone with AAA so we will pay cash and they still charge AAA. Very illegal and this business should be shut down. read more

Absolutely horrible and would give 0 stars if allowed. As many others report our experience was the same...claimed AAA wouldn't cover the two because the car was in an accident. Then gave another random excuse saying our only option was to get it towed to their yard 90 miles north of our location for free (because this is all AAA will cover on a tow that they said wasn't covered according to his supervisor) or he could tow us to our house for over $650 because his hourly rate started when he got dispatched. Told him he could leave and we call AAA for a new dispatch. He tried to call them before us and report that we declined a COD tow. Definitely did decline cause we pay for this service that you're trying to rip off. Needless to say another company came and had us home within 30 minutes of arriving. Not sure how they still have a contract with AAA but cancel if they are ever dispatched to you. read more

HARASSING MY MOTHER OVER THE PHONE MONTHS LATER. AAA sent this tow truck to us when my car wouldn't start. Worker told us it was the battery and made us pay for a new battery. Car then wouldn't start despite the new battery. They then sent out another truck that could actually tow me, and it turns out all the car needed was gas. Put in a report to AAA who recommended we file a claim and that we would get our money back. He then called my mother repeatedly DEMANDING "HIS MONEY". Extremely unprofessional. My mom left home from the store immediately out of fear due to his threatening tone and demeanor over the phone. The entire experience was awful. Express towing took care of my towing in very short time. Driver Hector was very polite and professional. It was on Holyday weekend.

The owner of this business is inhumane, abusive and rude. My daughter was in a collision late at night, 100 miles from her destination and 150 miles out of LA. Despite our AAA membership which entitles us to up to 200 miles towing, he gave instructions to his driver to dump her and the car at a salvage yard locally which would have meant leaving her alone at midnight in the middle of nowhere. Fortunately the driver was concerned and remained with her until we could get another tow truck to take her to her destination. We and the AAA agent tried to call the owner, Hector Valdez, several times but he hung up every time and refused to discuss options. Avoid Express Towing in Selma. read more

A friend and I were driving to her house after a long trip from LA. We were so close to getting home, when we were suddenly hit by a severe hail storm. While on the 2 way highway, my friend was driving too fast and tried to pass the car in front of us, it didn't take long before her poor decision caused us to spin around about 4 times and land us into an embankment perpendicular to the railroad tracks! The experience was frightening to say the least, but we were not hurt. The car was stuck in the mud, so we were unable to drive out on our own. She finally managed to call AAA and request a tow truck, but because of the weather, they were very busy and we had to wait for a few hours. Eventually the driver, Cesar, arrived and couldn't have been more kind and helpful to us. However, for some strange reason, my friend continued to act irrational and insisted that he can't tow the car out unless he guarantees that he wouldn't cause any dents or scratches to her boyfriend's car! He of course couldn't make this guarantee, and my immediate thoughts were, that if she was so concerned about her boyfriend's car, she would have driven safely in the first place! He had other calls to get to so she either had to make a decision or we just stay put! She finally agreed to let him go forward with the tow, and I apologized to the driver, which he was nice enough to understand. He professionally and carefully towed the car back unto the road, ready for us to continue our drive with only mud and weeds stuck underneath us. I'm pretty sure no dents or scratches were caused by the towing procedure! Thank you again to Cesar for being the one to help us out of a scary situation! Hector, the most unprofessional man I've dealt with, called me at 10:30am and said if I wasn't ready he would not make the tow. I called AAA at 11:24 pm for a tow. Express Towing gave an estimate of 12:15 am. Then 12:22 am. Then 1:30 am. Then 2:33 am. When the truck finally gets to me, he has another car on his flatbed. The driver said he could still tow me. He backs up his truck and lowers the thing. Then he speaks to his supervisor who tells him he can't tow two cars. I was already mad about the extreme wait, so when I spoke to his dispatcher, I used the F-word to make my point. The delicate little flower/tow truck dispatcher has apparently never heard the F-word. My son was in an accident and we called AAA for towing. They sent a tow truck from this company. When the driver got there, he told us he was not able to tow it with AAA because it was a collision (not true). We do not have towing on our insurance because we have AAA so he said we would be billed. The car was likely totaled but we asked him to tow it to our house, which he said he was not able to do for some unknown reason. He also told us he was taking it to their yard in Visalia, then we found took it to Selma instead. The owner made us drive 30 min to selma to pay for it and have it released and charged us close to $800 for one tow and 3 days in their yard. We paid another company to pick it up. They refused to discount any part of it, even though pretty much every single thing that cost us this amount was because their driver had no idea what he was talking about. Had to use them because of AAA. Bad customer service. Hostile phone conversations. Asked if I needed to be present or can my husband come instead of me even though I was the one who made the call. My husband also has AAA account. My husband drove from Modesto to Earlimart to show his ID. They arrived at midnight and used the excuse that it wasn't my husband who called so therefore they can not tow the vehicle and left. Absolutely ridiculous! My car was stuck in mud from floods in the middle of the night and they were headed out within an hour time the first time unfortunately it started raining harder so police had to excort me out before express towing could get to me. Few days later got back out to location explained to dispatch I live over 150 miles away if they could please come and attempt to help me out again and they did dispatch put me as priority and less then 1 hour Paul was there to save the day he got me out in less then 30 minutes. Paul was awesome, very friendly, and pure positivity, and it made me feel so much better. He gave me hope all was going to be ok, and he sure made sure I was. I am so grateful for Paul and everyone who helped me out both days in this company they kept calling to make where I was so they wouldn't pass me they did above and beyond to make sure I was safe and that I got back on the road. It made such a difference having such amazing people on the other line making my situation a priority and Paul getting me out safely in such a scary time and assuring me he'd make sure I was ok. There are still some amazing people out in the world that care and I'm glad I got to have them out there to help me through this. read more

DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY!! Broke down on the 99 in the middle of nowhere. Called AAA they sent this joke of a tow company out. Said it would be 40 min took over an hour ok I get it there busy. Truck finally shows up and says that we have 100 miles free under AAA or we can pay $600 and take it the rest of the way to our house. We told him we wanted to drop off at a friends house within the 100 mile radius. While we were on the phone getting the address the supervisor called the driver and told him to cancel our tow that he had more important ones to take care of. I get it they have money to make but to leave people stranded in the middle of nowhere in 122 degree weather is UNACCEPTABLE. The guy didn't even give us an opportunity to discuss paying the extra to tow the rest of the way he LITERALLY just pulled away. From looking at other reviews it looks like AAA needs to remove them as an option they are defiantly not a business that should be used by anyone especially in a situation when you are in need of help. read more

This is the one time I am glad I'm not sitting by myself on the side of CA 99 S. Express towing didn't care about our needs. Dispatch for Express Towing was super rude when I called to get an ETA on the truck to come out. Approximately 30 minutes later, a worker for Express Tow called saying he'd be 10 minutes away. Never came. On the AAA app, Express Tow stated they had arrived. Not true. I put in complaints to AAA. NEVER USE THEIR SERVICES. EVER. Even when AAA puts in a request for the customer, don't do it.
