I was stranded within the Sequoia National Park and I called Michael's towing. The woman on the phone was an absolute angel! I believe our tow truck driver said her name is Maria. Maria walked me through how much the tow would cost, how far they could take me and even went out of her way to connect me with northern AAA while I am a Southern Cal AAA member. Maria dispatched the driver, his name is Caesar. Caesar was so amazing. He was a gentleman, friendly and fast. My father has some medical issues and Caesar was so kind and accommodating. This was such a smooth and relieving ride home. I am forever grateful for Michael's towing for giving us peace of mind on such an otherwise stressful day. I had been waiting for several other tow companies (1st class tow) to be one that was very horrible at providing even decent customer service and sluggish response time to get out to the vehicle. Very unprofessional attitude from the driver at "1st Class Tow" out of Fresno, CA. The gentleman Brian traveled from Selma, CA roughly 20-30 minutes from Fresno, CA to arrive in half the dispatched time it took for local Fresno towing companies to arrive. There had been two companies that cancelled on me saying that did not have the "correct equipment" to tow my vehicle. On of which was 1st Class Tow that showed up and left. Brian greeted me pleasantly when he showed up and got right to the job. Explained to me what happened exactly to the vehicle and what could have happened if things had went slightly different with the breakdown which could have resulted in much more damages. Brian assured me that he will make sure nothing gets damaged to the vehicle while in the process of bringing it up on the flat bed lift and he was right. Takes his time and shows passion for his line of work. He had my vehicle hoisted up on the flat bed in about 20 minutes after needing to wheel one of the wheels and we were ready to jam out of there to our destination. Very friendly guy and super helpful when he sees your in need of assistance. Would not want anyone towing my vehicles anymore besides Brian here at Dave's Towing, and for now on he will be my go to guy first. Thanks again for all the help Brian and excellent customer service and knowledge you shed with me during the car trip! I hope you continue to be successful in your work and only excel and grow from here. Thanks. Sincerely, - A Loyal Customer

Later that evening, the situation completely changed. After I wasn't interested in bartering, I was told I would be charged for the service. I would have had no problem paying if the cost had been communicated upfront, but changing the terms afterward left a bad impression. My issue isn't simply being charged--it's the lack of clear and consistent communication about payment. Based on my experience, I'd recommend getting the price and payment expectations clearly established before accepting service.

We did not have the key and when the tow truck guy came to do the job he was unable to tow the car without the car. Up until this point no one explained that we needed to have the key present or that they were not able to perform the job without a key. At this point once the company decided that the job could not be done he then asked the person that was with my car to pay a $10.00 fee and reluctantly we agreed. After a certain point he handed my boyfriend the apple pay phone and tried to charge a $40.00 for NO SERVICES or even being front loaded with it being a $40.00 because again we were initially told $10.00. This was a horrible experience and I would not recommend services from them. Update: They called me back to say I should "look for other tow truck companies because there was an issue with their tow truck driver Felipe" To be clear we were never going to return a call to their company due to the sketchy interaction of them trying to charge $ 40.00 under the pretense of a $ 10.00 non service fee. Please do not spend your money with this company due to the fact that if my boyfriend did not look at the apple pay services he would have gotten scammed out of $ 40.00 for absolutely NO SERVICE.
