So excited to have this place right down the road. Cobblers were all over in the City (NY), but it's always been hard to find a good local spot since I moved out here. Even if I didn't live down the road, I would drive out of my way for this place! Dropped my Burju heels off on Tuesday and they were ready the next day! I spent a lot on these shoes, so it was frustrating to see the heel caps deteriorate so quickly. I was basically dancing on the metal screw the last few months, so I desperately needed the repair. He put brand new caps on within a day and it only cost $14!! I will be sending all my dance friends here, and I will be back for sure! Owner LOST MY SHOES and told me I had "mental problems" when I asked for compensation. I dropped off black booties to have cleaned up and was given the wrong, albeit identical (only difference was the zipper placement), shoes and didn't realize until I got home and tried them on, only to realize they were 1.5 sizes too small. I tried to leave a voicemail and sent an email while they were closed, but no response. When I returned to drop off the shoes that weren't mine and learned he did not have my shoes, the owner yelled at me and blamed me for his mistake, telling me he can't help "customers with mental problems". After originally claiming I was lying about dropping off the shoes in the first place, he said he remembered my "ugly" shoes and seriously said, "if I find similar shoes in your size will you just take those?". HE OFFERED ME SOMEONE ELSE'S SHOES. He refused to apologize or take accountability until another customer walked in to try to save face. He is incredibly rude, unorganized, and does not deserve your business. He also would not fairly compensate me to replace my shoes because of his mistake after I gave him three days to try to find my shoes or have them returned. Good, service-oriented shoe repair shops are few and far between. I discovered this little gem in Ahwatukee.... not for shoes, but for a hat! I wear broad-brimmed hats at all times in the sun - especially for driving my convertible or for travel. The wind, however, is always an issue. Instead of risking losing my hat to the wind of a convertible or golf cart or hiking trail, I wear one that has a "chin strap" - but secure it behind my head. I had a broken heel on my boot. The man that helped me was an elderly gentleman very kind, he said it would be ready in 20 minutes and he was right. However, I did notice, and was afraid that when he took my boots, his shoe polish stained fingers would get on my gray fabric boots. When I went to pick up my boots, there was in fact, a mark from his finger on the toe of the boot. I pointed it out to him, and he promptly took it in the back where someone probably applied some kind of solvent and removed it. When he brought it back it was in perfect condition.
