This leather strap with the clip will keep my hat on in a high gale!
    Susan C.

Good, service-oriented shoe repair shops are few and far between. I discovered this little gem in Ahwatukee.... not for shoes, but for a hat! I wear broad-brimmed hats at all times in the sun - especially for driving my convertible or for travel. The wind, however, is always an issue. Instead of risking losing my hat to the wind of a convertible or golf cart or hiking trail, I wear one that has a "chin strap" - but secure it behind my head. However, I recently bought a new hat without that strap for a trip to Europe. I took that hat to Express Shoe Repair and described what I needed. I showed him an example. He was so accommodating! He fixed me up with exactly what I needed in time for my travel. I highly recommend Express Shoe Repair and encourage you to patronize them. We need to support our small businesses and keep them in our neighborhoods!

Exceptional craftsmanship, and great value! I brought in my Florsheim royal imperials in shell cordovan here for a resole. The work done on them was phenomenal to say the least. He added a new leather midsole, which he stitched to the welt, and glued on super prime leather soles! I would highly recommend this place for any resoles!

It is hard to find a shoe repair business. My husband called around and finally found someone to repair his relatively new hiking shoes which he sliced on the top from a fall off an ATV. Express Shoes used a sturdy stitch to close up the slice. It is not pretty but it is working perfectly. We appreciate the work quality.

My mom has had these shoes for over 20 years and the straps broke forever ago and we thought they were done for! She asked for them to be fixed for christmas and they came out AMAZING. They were fixed in about 3 days too! The price was amazing too! amazing shop.

Small local business, fixed my boot in less time than most repair shops I have dealt with! My repair looks amazing.

Need better communication. If there are stains on the shoes you can get out etc let the customer know before you take them.

The shoe artisan offered to get it done within a hour which I appreciated. Picked them up and was happy with the outcome! It was sowed with the same colored material. For $15 I thought that was a fair deal. Staff was great, very accommodating, and welcoming! I'd come back again for my shoe repairs!

However, based on my experience, I will not be returning. I brought in a bag to have two zipper sliders replaced because the pull tabs had broken off. About a week and a half later, I received a text stating that the zipper itself was ripped and needed to be replaced at an additional cost of $130. The problem is that the zipper was not ripped when I dropped the bag off. The damage is very noticeable and is located directly on the zipper track. It would have been obvious to both me and the shop during intake if it had already existed. The bag is older, so my assumption is that the zipper may have torn during the slider replacement process. Had the shop simply told me that, I would have understood. What bothered me was being told the damage was pre existing and then being presented with a $130 upsell after already paying $45 for the original repair. Considering the bag can be purchased new for around $100, the recommendation made even less sense to me. I paid the bill and picked up my bag, but I left disappointed. From many of the reviews, it sounds like the previous owner built an excellent reputation over many years. Unfortunately, my experience under the current ownership did not reflect the level of service I was expecting. I sincerely hope future customers have a better experience than I did or read this review in time to choose another repair shop.

The Owner, Mike suggested I take it back to the store where I purchased it to ensure the safeguarding of the original material. I appreciated that as opposed to being told "let me try and see how it turns out". Due to that type of customer service, I decided to get the protection soles added to the heels of a new pair of sandals. I was surprised that they were ready to go within 2 days. Not only was the quality & workmanship easily seen, yet the price point was also within my budget. I'll definitely return for other upkeep of certain shoes & handbags.

Kinda disappointed with this place. First let's talk about the price. I asked for a quote for 3…read moresmall bags, & 8 shoes. The initial price estimate for the job was between $100-$200. Then it went to $275 when I came actually into the store. Then because I did a deposit instead of paying outright ($200 down, the rest when the job's finished). Gave me my order ticket and it said I have a balance of $125. ($50 more). So my total went from $200 (estimate) to $275 (what the shopkeep told me) to $325 (Because... who knows) . Then I tried to pick up my items on Thursday June 8th at 5:47pm but they were already closed. Hours say from 6:30 am-6pm. So I came back again today (Friday) to retrieve my items. Paid off the rest of my (overpriced) balance and this is the end result of their work. Scuff marks, dried up crust, dirt in crevices. This is not $325 work If you're going to charge premium prices, make sure the quality of your work backs it up. Really wished I paid with a card because I would have DISPUTED this with my bank. Beware!
