No line for…read morevaccines, and we arrived 10 min early so it was no big deal when the pharmacist asked us to wait since there was a line at the pharmacy pickup lane. Our pharmacist was professional, friendly, and helpful. We were finished with that part of our visit within 10 min. However, when we decided to buy a few items and got in line at the front for regular purchases, there was only one cashier. He was efficient enough, but with a growing line he really should have had a second staff to help out. That's more of a management issue I think. The CVS has plenty of parking, is also relatively clean and uncluttered, and has the aisles clearly marked. I thought it was interesting that all eye care stuff in locked cabinets.

Even if it was out of stock, they usually can get and deliver it the following day. This trumped any other concerns I have since I no longer can drive. I found the staff to be exceptionally helpful, knowledgable and professional; getting the most recent Covid and flu shots was simple and fast. I have been quite pleased with them on all counts. What I don't understand are the respondents on this board who downgrade Hendricks substantially for what seem to be unavoidable and occasional problems that any pharmacy can have. I realize that being out of stock of a prescription for someone who needs it TODAY or having a customer think a single employee communicates with them rudely is a valid reason to downgrade them to a single star. REALLY? To me, it seems petty and unreasonable. At its worst, it's an unwarranted stain on the pharmacy and it's business.

As I walked to the pharmacy, I noticed CVS has moleskin and picked a couple packs up because my husband and daughter use it sometimes when they wear certain shoes. At 11 a.m. the line for the pharmacy wasn't long, I was third in line. The pharmacy tech was polite and professional as she looked me up in the system. Apparently I had guessed wrong and she just smiled and said no problem when I explained I had made an error. She let me pay for the moleskin there rather than having to get in line again at the front store cashiers. Overall a quick trip to CVS where my service needs were met satisfactorily.

So this month I had my Doctor send it to this Rite Aid to see how the service was. I suffer from ADHD and it's hard for me to get all the information I need sometimes because I struggle with dates, times, schedules, literally everything. I had called a couple times to ask about my prescription because my doctor told me it might be more difficult to fill. I didn't write down the important info the techs gave me on the phone, so today I made a visit close to closing time. The pharmacist came and talked to me and explained everything! She was calm and nice and told me exactly how everything worked so I wouldn't be confused by it all anymore. She was calm, nice, and patient with me because this again is all new to me. I wish I had gotten her name. I used to use Kaiser Pharmacy so I didn't know exactly how to do things outside of the contained healthcare setting, but this Pharmacist made me feel much more confident and I walked out with all my questions answered :) I'd recommend this Rite Aid over their competitor solely for this interaction.
