I am still in shock...and I'll be sharing this experience for years to come!! After a power surge affected the Moreno Valley area on 9-29-22 my home was left without power. I called the first electricians that popped up an received two estimates for over $18,000. Months later while still trying to save up enough money for my $5,000 insurance deductible I decided to call Express Electric to get a third opinion.That was the best decision I ever made. Wallace came and assessed my property. He dedicated over 5 hours Troubleshooting the shortage. He was able to pinpoint the exact issue and restore power in my home. And to my surprise when it was all set and done he didn't charge me a thing! It still brings tears to my eyes knowing there are still honest companies with integrity in this day and age! I called them at 8:28am to book an appointment in riverside, Ca for a job at a condo. At 3:20pm they called me and told me sorry, we moved to Los Angeles, Ca and can not help because it is to far. WHAT?? the person who picked up the phone took down the address, the name and phone numbers had NO idea the company moved??? really??? It is very clear they have or had office in Riverside (see photo).. maybe the managers and owners should tell their Employee's that they are no longer in Riverside. Our main breaker went out, so we called and Express electric technician and he came by, he quoted 5 prices $14,000 was the highest and the lowest was $2300 ( that just for main breaker). Technician never bothered to inspect the issue, because if he did he would of seen that it was Edison at fault, he charged us $89 dollars!!! Anyway!!!for estimates only. At that point the company called and said she would do it for 1700.!!! for main breaker. It's Insulting, really , when they don't even bother to look for the problem. Electrician installed an electrical subpanel and said we didn't need a permit, when we told them, several times, we did. This was over 3 months ago. We have an escrow we are trying to close and there's no sense of urgency on their part to rectify this situation. read more

GO somewhere else! They charged me $7,000 to install a new box and ground system and a new riser rod in May 2021. We began having electrical issues again recently, so I called an electrician from my home warranty. He checked some switches, some outlets, and some connections in the box they installed. He said he couldn't find a reason for the fluctuation in electricity and said to call the city to check their connections, so I did. The guy from the city found nothing wrong at the power pole, but he checked my connections at the riser pole on my house and he said he never saw such shoddy workmanship. He asked about who did the work, and I told him it was Express and that they charged me $7000 and he was floored. He left the parts that he replaced with me, which I will attach a photo of. The fasteners that were used were completely incorrect, and the reason for my electrical problems was that the neutral wire coming into my house were corroded and hooked up incorrectly with the wrong fastener. I tried calling express and I guess $7000 doesn't get you a call back!!! I have called for a few days and nobody has bothered to call me back, and I am told I am supposed to have ground wires on my water heater lines and there aren't any... they did a bad job and won't even call me back. read more

Very overpriced. I called Express Electrical services because my garage door wasn't opening. I paid $1300 and it took only half hour to fix it. I talked to supervisor and he told me with all the knowledge electrician has to do the troubleshooting it is the right price. Technician wrote in his invoice jobs he didn't do. Lost power to 1/2 the kitchen outlets. Came out and after 45 minutes of troubleshooting gave me five options. Option 1 was $5,000 complete rewire of the entire house. Option 5 was $800 rewire of 1/2 the kitchen. Asked him if there was anything that didn't require full rewire that was less expensive and he said "no". Paid him the $65 or whatever it was and called someone else who came out same day and said there was a loose wire at the main panel fixed it for $85 - full power to the kitchen restored instantly. Not sure if the guy that came out didn't know what he was doing or if they are running some sort of a scam, either way I won't be calling them for any electrical work again. read more

I can't believe I wasted my time with this company. I had them out to quote me a ring flood light install where an existing fixture is. First he said he had to give me 5 or more options after looking at the breaker box that is how his company works. He took over an hour to come by to my door to go over all the options which range high $49k to low $16k for a panel and wiring upgrade. Then he got the quote to install the ring almost $500. I did not even pay that much for the ring itself. I declined all services then he asked me how I would like to pay for the service visit that wasted my time. we called Express Electric to fix our doorbell. The appt was scheduled between 1-3 pm. At 2 pm, the called to say the technician was running late. The technician arrived at 6:30 pm. He was very polite. He suggested a repair but was not certain that would be the fix. we asked for an estimate. the estimate to fix the doorbell and replace the Ring was $2,000! We said that was not in our budget. Ring doorbells are under $200 and doorbell transformers run $30. Over $1,700 for labor is ridiculous. We paid the service call fee and said our goodbyes. read more

Satisfied from the friendly welcome to the end service... Carlos arrived on time and started to work right away. He discovered that I had a faulty breaker, installed a new switch and GFI outlet. He saw the problem, explained in full detail of what he discovered, what caused the problem and what he had to do to make it right. At a fair price, I had him fix it right away. Our second contact with this company, and again, very pleased! We had a list of issues to deal with, and Saul came thru for us. He carefully checked and reviewed everything with me, and prepared to layout levels of service (or items) with costs that we could have done, but I already knew we wanted them all done (3 switch issues, fix one ceiling fan, install 2 other fans we'd bought, and extend some wiring to outside where we wanted a floodlight installed that we'd bought). He suggested 2 of them be done immediately due to safety issues. For the rest I asked for a different day. He brought an assistant to help him, and they worked a full day! One task was a flickering kitchen light. He changed out a poorly installed switch with outlets, changed it so the outlets weren't dependent on the switch, and asked me to contact him if it became a problem again. It did a day or so later. When I called, he came immediately. I'd bought LED bulbs like he'd recommended and a couple of pull chain extensions I planned to add to the new ceiling fans. He changed out the bulb in the kitchen, and while he was at it, attached the pull chain extensions and installed all the bulbs I'd bought in different ceiling lights. Needless to say, excellent service, and will call again! read more

Called them for electrical services because of a power outage in my backyard . Very prompt response. They tell you to keep your lines open when they call back. Usually call back in 5 min. Technician came out within 2 hours of initial call time . Fantastic. Charged ~ $89 with a complete work to restore power for $~$500. Couldn't complete but incorrectly narrowed down the problem. Asked me to find someone to move things out of an area so he could get access . Fair enough . Would give them 4 stars just on that initial response. Follow up terrible . When I did what they asked me to do and tried to get a followup service within 5 days, contacted the technician who was busy. I said anyone will do... also busy... fine understandable. Don't expect them to be available same day. They even said that although won't be able to accommodate today they can come the next day afternoon. Called back after discussing with supervisor and then said no availability for three weeks. I knew then they were playing games. This business is out to make a quick buck. They don't want to involve themselves in long drawn out projects. Needs a light switch changed , breaker replaced? Sure they will do it and charge a lot for it. Caution when hiring this electric company wanted to do a ceiling fan install technician came back with five quotes it went from $4, 000 to $800 for a ceiling fan and since I didn't want to do the work he still charged me the $57 fee had another company to do the install for a fraction of the price read more
