I was lucky enough to stumble upon this listing within two hours or so of it being posted. I called, left a detailed voicemail and less than 5 mins I got a call back from Jonathan. Immediately I was at ease just from his voice - yes, that's a thing. He sounded calm, collected and easy going. Next thing you know, we're driving to see the property, same day. I mean, does it sound like it's meant to be or what?!? Anyhoo, we get there and the pictures are exactly like the real thing. So many postings make the place seem bigger than it is so I was so relieved. I knew I wanted to sign right away. Jonathan made the whole process so much easier and reassuring. He was attentive and extremely responsive - I never felt like I was left "hanging. " Even if he couldn't get back to me with a specific inquiry, he would text me an update. My bf really wanted to see one more property but his contact was taking DAYS to get back to him which just goes to show how unreliable other brokers can be. So I was like, screw your contact, Jonathan is our guy just say yes! Rather than receiving transparent answers or supporting documentation, I was repeatedly told the requirements were "non-negotiable," threatened with fines, and ultimately informed that management would "not engage further" because the conversation had become "repetitive." As a shareholder, asking reasonable questions about building policies, insurance requirements, and risk management should not be treated as an inconvenience. At no point was any actual explanation provided regarding whether these limits were based on insurer recommendations, legal counsel, lender requirements, claims history, or any formal analysis. Instead, responses felt dismissive, defensive, and unnecessarily combative. Professional property management should include transparency, accountability, and respectful communication with residents -- especially when imposing financial requirements and penalties. I hope ownership takes shareholder concerns more seriously moving forward and improves how management communicates with residents.
