We cannot recommend Digs Realty Group enough. Rebecca was extremely knowledgeable about the market and inventory available. She showed us great apartments, and she had the patience to work with us when our idea of what we wanted changed. Rebecca was at every appointment, and she was always available to talk with us and give feedback. She provided a detailed analysis of apartments we liked including helping us figure out what to offer. We felt like we had a friend in our corner for the entirety of this process. We could always count on her to give her honest opinion. We truly loved working with her read more

My partner Lisa and I started looking for an Upper West Side apartment last July. As the expression goes, we slept in Brooklyn but lived in Manhattan. Most of our friends live in Manhattan, the synagogues we like are in Manhattan, great biking in Manhattan. In addition, it is a long commute home from the opera at 11:30 at night. It was time to move! We met Rebecca through Street Easy and loved her professionalism and personality. Rebecca understood our needs and income restrictions. After showing us a few apartments, she would say that the apartment was too small, the floor is not stable, etc For a few apartments, she ordered the financials and said no way. Half a year ago Rebecca said she knows of the perfect apartment on the West Side that suited our needs: 500' from Central Park, subway on the corner, near great shopping, I could take my bike through the front door. In addition, the staff is top notch. Yes, we loved it and quickly made a bid! In addition, Rebecca and her staff assisted in putting together the board package, troubled out a few problems, dealt with the seller's broker, etc. We moved in late March and love the apartment, the building's excellent staff and location. Rebecca is the best! read more

We had a phenomenal experience with Rebecca from Digs Realty start to finish. She set up as many showings as we needed, often with relatively short notice. When two of our offers fell through, instead of asking us to change our requirements she continued looking for apartments that met our criteria until we found a perfect unit in a dream location. Her team member Marina who helped us compile (and carefully proofread) our board package made the complex process significantly more straight forward. Throughout the process, Rebecca communicated with many to expedite the closing so that we wouldn't have to spend too long in a temporary location. We truly can't thank Rebecca and the team at Digs enough, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone. read more

Buying a house in NYC is not for a faint of heart but working with Rebecca was hands down the best part of the process. She was so helpful from start to finish and always available to respond to all of our questions as first time home buyers. We never felt rushed into making decisions. She helped us come up with an attack plan when we are in multiple bidding wars and eventually secure us the house. The other parties were a whole lot to deal with and we would not been able to do it without Rebecca. She even gave us contacts for lawyer, inspector, and lenders which was so so helpful. Would for sure recommend her to all my friends. read more

I've bought and sold a few apartments in NYC, and I've never worked with an agent as knowledgeable, helpful, responsive and honest as Rebecca. She worked tirelessly to find us our home, and she even told us that it was worth less than we were paying for it (but we loved it so much, we went forward anyway). I've come to realize through all my transactions, that it's so important to work with someone trustworthy who puts your interests first. This is 100% Rebecca the entire process, and she's even there for you months after you close, always answering questions. You'd be crazy not to hire her and work with Digs (aside from the $91k rebate she gave me!!!). read more

Digs Realty - Real Estate Services Near Me - New York, New York

I've worked with Dan on several deals now - I successfully bought twice with him (once on UWS and once in SoHo) and referred my boyfriend to him (he bought in Brooklyn) and I can tell you that he is exactly what you want if you believe that there is no mystery around how real estate in New York works! And if you think it *is* a mystery he's *really* who you want, as he'll explain everything you need to know about buying in NYC. He never forced his opinions on me (and I've had the misfortune in the past of working with agents who thought their job was to force their preferences and likes on me) but he always provided relevant and useful data and knowledge about the market, the areas, and other professionals in the business (through him I found several other excellent real estate professionals who helped the deals go smoothly). I also had an opportunity to list an apartment with him - even though I wasn't sure I would end up selling it, he and his team worked tirelessly hosting open houses and getting me a good offer (I decided not to sell for unrelated reasons, but when it *is* time to sell the apartment I have no doubts I will sell it with Digs Realty). The rebate is great, but someone who partners with you on deals and helps you get what *you* need is even better! read more

Dan and Sara were soooo helpful with the purchase of my new (and first) apartment earlier this year. They gave me good advice, helped me find other great professionals to help me with my purchase and answered my many questions, no matter how trivial they may have seemed. They were especially diligent with every detail of the package for the co-op board. I would happily recommend them to others! Digs also shares part of their commission as a rebate to you, which is a nice bonus! read more

We bought our first home with Dan as our realtor. I found Dan through my colleagues' referrals. What we needed was an agent who can explain things and tell us about potential issues that are not written in the listings, otherwise, we are perfectly capable of browsing the listings and going to open houses ourselves. Dan turned out to be exactly what we were looking for. He was always available to answer our questions on a short notice, and gave us useful feedback that directed and sped up our search. For example, in one case we were considering an apartment in Brooklyn, and he informed us that BQE repair plans might affect this apartment. This turned out to be true and an important factor in the future value of the property. Prior to contacting Dan, we were looking at listings and going to open houses for about 1.5 years. Within 2 months of starting to work with Dan, we already found our home and placed an offer that was accepted. Digs Realty also took us through the purchase process, which, for a first-time home buyer and especially for NY coops, can be a very complicated process. I later heard from a coop board member that they were impressed by how well-prepared and organized our coop application package (put together by Digs Realty) was. On top of all of this, on the closing day, we received a fat commission rebate check from Dan. This was also a significant benefit of working with Digs Realty, especially since the service we received was nothing less than what a full-commission agent provides. I recommend Dan to all my friends with no hesitation. read more

I worked with Digs agent Michael Robles to buy a home in the Bronx. The service was phenomenal. Even more importantly Michael brings an entire team to help you out. He has an unbelievable attorney, a good home inspector and title insurance company and great referrals for Mortgage and Home Insurance. read more

Go with Digs Realty, they truly are the best out there in the NYC area. I started off researching the rebate realtors but was so pleasantly surprised when I found that Digs also provides top notch service as their base of business model which is very rare for rebate realtor services. Buying a house can be overwhelming but they are so experienced and helpful. Not only are they experts in the city, Michael R was instrumental in closing on a house in Rockland County. He was able to advise and also give estimated comparisons (similar houses in the area), as well as refer services to get things rolling as soon as we got an accepted offer. Meredith was also very helpful in Bergen County. I will def be referring them to friends and family, as well as go back to Digs when I sell or buy. Get ready to learn a lot from them! read more

This is my best real estate experience. Rebecca is a real go-getter which is what you always want in an agent. She literally held me hand through the whole process of searching listings, going to open houses, pricing the property, negotiating the offer, and finally the closing. Super responsive, knowledgable, organized, and not pushy. Truly a joy to work with! read more

Just completed a co-op purchase with fantastic help from Dan and the Digs team. From identifying listings, touring them, pricing negotiations, board package review, and closing, I got great support. Dan knows the market well, and has great relationships with other agents and others in the real estate world. And the substantial commission rebate is just icing on the cake. read more

Could not recommend working with Dan more highly. The rebate is real and makes a huge difference in offsetting transaction costs. We were first time buyers and appreciated Dan's guidance throughout. He educated us on the market and helped us navigate the offer process, purchase price and contract negotiations, mortgage financing, condo board approval, and closing. He was a pleasure to work with and, most importantly, is straightforward and honest. He advocated for us when needed and was always very responsive. read more

I recently had the pleasure of working with Rebecca from Digs Realty. I cannot say enough wonderful things about her and the company as a whole. From start to finish, Rebecca was diligent, knowledgeable and left no stone unturned. She made an otherwise intimidating process easy and works hard for her client. Would highly recommend her or the company to anyone! read more

Dan is a fantastic broker and guided me and my fiance through a year long search to finally find our new home. He has excellent market knowledge and attention to detail, which showed in the insightful and honest advice that he provided. Dan supported us through all aspects of the process from delivery of tailored listings matched to our needs, through advising in contract negotiations, and finally facilitating all of the logistics needed to get through board approvals and closing. We highly recommend Dan and would gladly work with him again in the future. read more

My partner and I fell in love with an uptown co-op apartment at an open house, studied up on NYC brokers that afternoon (it turns out that yes, you want one), and got in touch with Dan that evening (a Sunday!). He immediately talked to us on the phone and set up a viewing with the listing agent. He weighed the pros and cons of the apartment, did some background research on the building and market, and helped us get an offer in when we were sure we wanted it. The seller accepted (though not before the listing agent, part of a bigger firm, tried to play a couple games). Dan then set us up with a solid, well-priced real estate attorney and guided us through the co-op board package and interview process. We eventually closed at lower than the listed closing price on Streeteasy. Couldn't be happier with that plus the 2% rebate. Long story short: Dan helped us decide whether the place was right for us with his own walkthrough and background research, knew the local market trends and co-op rituals, and added a rebate like a cherry on top. read more

Dan is absolutely fantastic and my ex- and I have used him for each of our last four co-op apartments, through buyers' markets and sellers' markets alike. Like lots of experienced agents he is great at noticing hidden problems, knows neighborhoods block by block, and all that. But read his newsletters and you'll have a sense of how deep his understanding of the market is -- both the quirks of supply/demand in New York City and the financial side. He's a terrific writer and editor (and has a law degree), and that shows in how well he packages and presents information for coop board approval -- which in turn makes a difference in whether a co-op seller will decide to go with your offer; the cover letter may be the most important part of the process. For folks on non-profit incomes, he's super-knowledgeable about HDFCs -- he's represented building selling units and also buyers (like me!). Of course there is the rebate -- basically a 2% discount on the price of your new place. But the main thing is that he is a warm, level-headed guy. A lot of the role of an agent is sort of being a therapist to you as you go thru this incredibly stressful set of big decisions, and I'm so glad I had him by my side for that -- four times! read more

"Dan Gotlieb and his Digs Realty team were wonderful to work with during our recent apartment purchase. Dan's vast knowledge of NYC real estate and high responsiveness gave us comfort and helped us navigate the NYC home purchasing process confidently. Throughout the identification of a new home, the negotiation process, the creation of the board package/interview and at the closing table - they were there the whole time and provided us great service. Finally, at closing we received a very nice rebate check - unbelievable! We highly recommend Digs Realty!!!" read more

As a first-time home buyer in the competitive market of NYC, it was a pleasure working with Dan. I was extremely happy to have him guiding me through the entire process. He did a very thorough job, and his information sharing, honesty, and knowledge of the real estate market were beyond excellent. Dan always made himself available if I needed to talk or had questions, and was always flexible in meeting arrangements. He helped me during each step of the process, including a bidding war, and, when needed, he also referred me to people he trusted for the closing and mortgage application, which were all very efficient and competent. Finally, the rebate I received after closing made it only better! I would definitely work with him again if I decide to sell my place, and highly recommend him to anybody looking for an excellent broker in NYC. read more

Dan and his team are amazingly effective--they helped us find and purchase our dream co-op in Manhattan. They are wonderful people, made everything extremely easy (shoutout to Sara!), gave fantastic advice, connected us with an amazing lawyer, and always listened to and addressed our questions. We felt very well taken care of, and loved that Dan went to bat for us in any situation where we needed help. (Which was quite a few times, in fact!) He and his team were extremely thorough at every point in the process. As a detail person, this set my mind at ease. He caught several surprise issues with the unit (during the final walkthrough) that ended up saving us both money and headache, which I deeply appreciate. The reimbursement aspect of his business - which we hadn't really thought about beforehand - is fascinating: Getting a nice check made out to you after closing on your home is both bizarre and wonderful! If I were ever to buy or sell again, I would work with Dan, Sara, and the Digs team in a heartbeat. They are truly excellent at their work! read more

I have had the pleasure of working with Dan Gotlieb and DIGS Realty on multiple successful residential real estate transactions. Dan is refreshingly honest, professional, and extremely intelligent. Rebeca and Dan are the one to go to when you are ready to buy your property. They are very informative and willing to go beyond to help you. I wish I knew them decades ago. One thing for sure is they will be the only realtor for me from now on. Look no more, but hire them. read more

We purchased our first co-op a few months ago and Dan was excellent! He is very knowledgeable and provided a really thorough comps report when we were ready to make an offer. He provides honest feedback is overall a pleasure to work with. He responds to emails and texts in a timely fashion. His team put together our co-op application package and carefully reviewed it to make sure it was complete. I have heard that buying a co-op can be a challenging experience, but it was quite smooth with Digs. We will definitely work with Dan in the future if we buy again! read more

Dan is the best. He's a great negotiator, great listener, knows the city and the market back to front, and inspires complete confidence. His guidance was essential in getting us into our first apartment in the city. He is also very patient: he answered our many (many) questions, and we never felt rushed in the decision-making process. Dan and Sara did an amazing job of pointing us in the right direction and getting us to the finish line. The commission rebate is fantastic, too. We would recommend Digs to anyone! read more

We worked with Dan for over a year and went through 4 bidding wars until we finally bought our apartment. My husband and I went through multiple brokers before finding Dan and can be very demanding clients, and we were very happy with Dan's services. He is extremely responsive and accomodating and offered helpful advice throughout our entire process. Even after closing on the apartment, Dan has been just as responsive whenever we have reached out to him with random questions. In an industry where trust is key, we always felt like Dan was on our side and highly recommend him to anyone looking to buy/sell an apartment. read more

We spent countless hours on StreetEasy and felt knowledgeable about Manhattan, but Dan was invaluable in calculating comps, helping us negotiate our offer, and navigating the closing process. He was honest, informative, and was there to support us in every step of a lengthy co-op approval process. We wholeheartedly recommend him as a partner that you need to have at your side when dealing with all the intricacies of buying in NYC. The business model of a rebate was an added bonus, allowing us to fund a renovation and turn our new apartment into a true home. Thanks Dan! read more

Our experience with Dan was entirely unique. He is the most honest and knowledgeable broker we have come across during our apartment search-- and the search was a long one. To exemplify his honesty, he would discourage us from buying places that were not exactly what we were looking for but were much more expensive and would have given him a much higher commission than the apartment we purchased in the end. He was always quick to respond to our many questions and his communication was always friendly and patient (remember I said that our search was very long). Dan was a pleasure to work with and get to know both on a professional and personal level. We've recommended him to everyone we know looking to buy or sell an apartment. read more

I was a first time homebuyer and really did not know what to expect from the process, or where to even begin. Dan was a referral from a friend and from the start he and his team were awesome. From our initial conversation he got a sense for what I was looking for and helped walk me through the process and what to expect. The home I ultimately bought was a home Dan sent to me once he understood what I was looking for. Since I knew exactly what I wanted Dan was able to help refine the search process accordingly. When I was ready to make an offer Dan was able to help me understand the comps in the neighborhood and building to put together a very competitive offer. And once we closed, Sara was a gem and helped me navigate the extremely complicated co-op process. The day I closed, Dan was there and the check he gave me right after closing was an awesome end to a terrific process. I wouldn't be a homeowner without his help and expertise and I love my home. There is no other team I would work with. read more

Working with Digs Realty was the best decision we made!  We cannot recommend them enough and no written words can adequately express how impressed we were with our experience and how grateful we are to Dan, Sara, and the rest of the team.  We worked closely with Dan for over a year as he helped us sell our one-bedroom apartment and find and purchase a three-bedroom for our expanding family.  Dealing with Digs was the only part of this tedious process that was always smooth and easy.  Dan helped us out so much on our buy-side - he was always immediately available for opinions, market data, and general thoughts on all apartments we considered.  We truly valued his helpful opinions and trusted him which is hard to come by in the NYC real estate market.  Sara was also such a pleasure to work with!  She went above and beyond for us during each step of the process, even when dealing with the minutia of the board package process.  I cannot imagine working with any other real estate firm in the city!  Working with Digs is such a no brainer.  On top of the excellent service, trustworthy agents, and outstanding experience -- we also received a rebate when we closed on our new home!  Thank you Digs Realty!!  Marjorie and Dominick read more
