Our movers on the delivery end in Arvada CO were particularly impressive -- Pancho, Paco and Alejandro. They had 4 hours to unload and they did it in 1.5. Everything was in good condition. This review is long overdue as we've had quite the year moving out of state and settling in but Exodus Moving Company was a terrific partner to handle our move and we would be remiss to not thank them. Exodus came highly recommended at a point when we were almost ready to give up and try to do it ourselves. The summer/fall of 2022 was still a very busy and crazy time for movers and everyone we interviewed, prior to Exodus, seemed to be taking full advantage of the market conditions. The ability to work with us and our needs, to coordinate our out of state move, was seemingly either impossible or would cost a small fortune, until we called Exodus. From the first call through the quoting process we experienced friendly professionalism and responsiveness and were greatly impressed when they matched that with a fair quote (not necessarily cheap, but fair). This was only a precursor of what we would actually experience from their crews. The team that showed up to load our 3/3 home, full of delicate pieces and mid-century furniture, was beyond impressive. They made short work of the final packing and loading, having arrived with a large, experienced crew to completely and carefully load out a solid 2/3 of their high-cube truck with our belongings. Watching them work was pure enjoyment, there is something truly special seeing talented, hard working people move large, heavy and delicate loads quickly and efficiently AND finish in less than 6 hours! Several days and three states later we witnessed the same process in reverse, AND they were able to juggle our delivery to accommodate our family transit time (as there was a necessary extra long and unusual, even for our interstate move, gap between pickup and delivery). The best part is that all was delivered without issue or damage and they made our move very smooth. We had such an exceptional experience with Exodus Moving Company that I am only sorry I waited so long to write this as I cannot remember the names of all the great people that worked with us. We had a delivery date 2 weeks after the pick up and when we called to find out what time to expect them they said that they wouldn't be delivering for another two weeks!! We had to figure out an additional 2 week accommodation over Christmas time! We always had to reach out to them and every phone call we would always say ok see you on this date and was never corrected or never told that was just the beginning of a 2 week window. read more

This is the second time we've used Exodus for a major move and both experiences were excellent. Our most recent move in July was done by Mike Sr., Mike Jr., and Israel. They were very careful with our belongings, but worked quickly as well. Everything arrived safely, they covered the floors to protect them, and no damage was done to either home or our belongings. Disgusted with this company's customer service and lack of integrity. Wouldn't recommend. TL;DR: Exodus Moving & Storage broke several of our possessions, which totaled $870 in value. They denied our claim and refused to offer any sort of compensation to help us out after moving to Colorado. Their customer service was appalling - we had to constantly chase them for updates on our claim for almost 3 weeks until they eventually said that they would be offering no compensation. We would not recommend this moving company if it is important that your possessions are handled with care and if customer service is important to you. We recently used Exodus to move our possessions from another state to Colorado. Several of our possessions were damaged during the move, which totaled $870 in value. We carefully packed these items using bubble wrap, foam packing material, and sturdy boxes. Most of the boxes or items labeled as fragile looked like they had been kicked down the street. See the attached pictures. We are disgusted at the obvious lack of care that was taken when our possessions were handled and transported. We filed a claim for the damaged items. The customer service from their claims and finance departments was awful. We called or emailed them every couple of days for almost 3 weeks and received no substantial updates on the status of our claim. We were ultimately told that Exodus were not responsible for any of the damaged items and that they wouldn't offer any compensation at all to help us out or settle this mess. We were told that the CEO would give us a call, but that was 3 days ago and, guess what, we still haven't been called. A few pieces of our furniture were also poorly reassembled, so I had to reassemble those properly myself. Also, screws for other furniture and pins to hold bookshelves are missing. read more

Things started well and went down hill quickly. We'd call the office to talk with Lisa, who always talked a good game. When we would hear back, we'd call back to talk with her to find out nothing had been done. This happed three or four times. Very disappointing. During the loading, their team wrapped several things in blankets that never made it to our house after the move. When they delivered, we told that a crew would help like when we loaded and it ended up being two guys who were slow and left several things wrapped in blankets. When we opened things after they left, we realized that things were not delivered. When we called Lisa she passed us off to someone else. We filed a claim and we basically told it was our fault for not opening everything when they unloaded. Terrible customer service and I would NOT recommend as their words did not match their actions. read more

Long story short, you may have no idea when your furniture is coming and you may have to call them every day to figure it out. They will pick it up and drop it off whenever it works for their schedule even if it doesn't line up with the times you originally agreed upon. More details: This company was recommended to me by my realtor, and I chose them because their price seemed fair given that they "owned their entire value chain" and assured me that my furniture would get here on time. Well, we agreed they would pick up on a Friday or Saturday (21-22nd) and then bring my furniture from Houston to Colorado by that Thursday (27th) since I closed on the house that Wednesday (26th). Turns out, they delayed the pickup till Monday 24th and didn't even bother to call me to tell me. I only found out because I called Thursday trying to figure out what time they would be at my house. This interrupted my work (I work Monday-Friday) and since they did this change last minute I couldn't go with another company. Unfortunately, the logistics problems continued and I had to call them every day just to get updates, often being told they "didn't know" when my stuff would get to Denver. Eventually, I was told it was coming Saturday (more than a week after the original date, May 6th). Then on Monday (May 1st), with only 2 hours' notice, they told me they were dropping off my stuff at my house that day and that because my boyfriend and I broke up the $1,000 "discount" for all the trouble they caused me was applied to separating out our stuff so it was just the exact same price and that my stuff was "only 1 day late". Did I mention how they "booked" me a room to stay in since I had no furniture and when I turned up, the hotel informed me they had not paid for the room and only reserved it...). For the price they charge and the fact that they apparently own the entire movement chain, I would've expected better. I cannot recommend. read more

I would not recommend Exodus Moving and Storage for your move. My partner and I had a miserable experience with this company on Monday April 19th. Their team was inexperienced, unprofessional, and--when confronted with criticism over the quality of the move--demonstrated a complete lack of integrity. We trusted them to provide us peace of mind, instead our one-bedroom apartment move turned into an $1100, 8-hour, stress-filled day. If you choose to use this company, be prepared for a neglectful customer support staff, hidden fees, unprofessionally slow movers, and a President who would rather gaslight than take responsibility. Upon receiving my distressed phone call over the quality of the move, he accused us of not specifying whether we were moving "one-bedroom" or a "one-bedroom apartment", not mentioning our small storage unit, packing our belongings in the wrong size boxes, and not helping. I did specify, in an email on March 1st, it was a one-bedroom apartment. But as an inexperienced mover I did not realize a dozen-and-a-half boxes in our storage unit would constitute an extra hour of work, certainly did not realize there are preferred box sizes, and never imagined we would be expected to help in order to have the move completed in a timely manner. These laughable accusations demonstrate just how unqualified this company is to help anyone with their move. Capable professionals entrusted with this responsibility should gather appropriate information and clarification, share useful information--like a preferred box size--with their clients, and under no circumstances should expect a family to help with the move. We were looking forward to the benefits of a professional and quality moving day. Instead, my pregnant partner and I wish we had done it ourselves. Steer clear of this terrible company. read more

The people were all very nice. they went to wrong address, went somewhere in Cheyenne which put them a couple hours behind,. So when they finally arrived at the correct address they threw most my belongings in the garage. The boxes were packed so heavy a lot had to be unloaded from garage. My white Utility ladder is nowhere to be found. Dresser drawer was broken, Noritake China some pieces were broken, Dogwood china some pieces broken, Crystal glasses some broken. Found my waterpik toothbrush attachments under toilet plunger. Hand saws were thrown in box with yard tools blade up which made for some nice cuts on the hands. The cords are all everywhere have no idea what goes to what should have been kept with what they went with. Roll top desk was not put back together and Tread mill just left in middle of the room these two items are very heavy and I am a woman 70 years old. The move started out pretty smooth but really went south when they got 2 hours behind. I have unloaded all the boxes and checked them again some small items nowhere to be found. Istead of packing tools in garage system that went with other house they took parts of the system which I will unload and mail back to the man who purchased my home in Colorado. Overall for the large amount I paid the service could have been a whole lot better. Disappointed to say the least! read more

January 2019 Followup Our homeowners insurance on the house we moved from paid us over $10,000 for the records and makeup/cosmetics stolen by Exodus. PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE HIRING EXODUS! In mid-May 5 guys from Exodus moved us within the same zip code in FtCo. This team was the sloppiest, careless and indifferent we have experienced. Within the same zip code they managed to scrape, ding, dent and break more items than any prior move. Physical damages to our furniture, mostly antiques, have been well documented and are in the process of being tended to. Early on I couldn't find several items. I reported the missing items to the company. I was told to open every box to make sure these items were missing. We have opened every single box moved, and now know these items to have been stolen. We had a large LP record collection which was established during our 53 years of marriage which we winnowed down to approximately 350 records for the move. We packed them into four 12" by 12" wood cubes and put them in the living room to be moved. THAT WAS THE LAST WE SAW OF THEM. If I go to Bizarre Bazaar and spot some of our records, what do I do? what do I say? Unfortunately our names are not on the records. A dream theft for the perpetrator. I have filed a police report alleging the 350 records stolen by one or more Exodus employees. Included also in that police report is a stolen bucket full of cosmetics and makeup that I enumerated from memory with a worth of somewhere under $900.00. The bucket was covered with a white bureau scarf embroidered in blue and vigorously taped over and around to secure it. Finally, ALL my papers are gone. GONE! It is frightening to have all our numbers floating around in the hands of someone who has felonious intentions. Additionally we have paid a second mover (see Little Guys) to pack and move everything the Exodus team left. This Exodus move was defined as everything gets moved. That did not happen. We paid an honest and reputable company who provided us with 3 native speakers of English who were careful and polite and moved us efficiently. Exodus provided us with no itemization of our possessions (with numbers attached) moved as we haoccur in previous moves. This lack makes our property easy pickings for thievery. Think twice, three times before engaging this company. read more

We just moved and we're very happy with the services Exodus provided. Jason, Logan, and Dallas loaded up our belongings, securely stored it overnight, and Jason and Mario unloaded our belongings at the new house the next day. I went into this move assuming things would get broken, but I was pleasantly surprised that nothing was broken. All of our walls and doors were unscathed despite some tricky turns and narrow halls. We won't hold Mario's preference of NFL team against him! To add a cherry on top, the cost came in lower than the estimate!!!! I recently moved my things after graduating from Colorado State University. Everything arrived in Minneapolis this morning in perfect shape despite the fact that I had originally (hastily) packed a storage unit and left it in a friend's care. Exodus has been SO helpful and flexible in helping me get my stuff, from letting a local friend open my storage unit for their estimator, to being flexible on the delivery. Because I had a small load and was flexible on my delivery time, I got an excellent price. They also offer CSU Alumni and college student discounts if you need to have your stuff moved more immediately than I did. All in all I would definitely recommend Exodus to a friend, and when I move back to Colorado I would see if they would be able to perform the same move in reverse. Giving two stars because although the actual movers were pleasant and very few things missing or broken, we contracted them solely because they said they would move our car inside the truck with our belongings. The day the movers arrived, we were told the truck was already loaded with other families furnishings so no room BUT it would be on a truck the next week so we had to drive it to their storage facility in Johnstown. This "next week" story went on for over 5 weeks and we were even told our car was loaded but the owner, Ilon, told then to take it off! To make a long story short, my husband flew to Denver to pick up the car and is now having to drive it across country. We should have gone with Allied. Delivery date was 5 days after I was first told it would be so I went 10 days without any of my things. Understood this happens with moving cross country. However never got a phone call day before scheduled delivery to confirm time and had to call that morning to see if my things would even be coming that day. Turns out driver over slept so instead of being there at 9am along with the scheduled labor, he didn't show up until 1 pm with no one to help unload any of my things. The owner Ilan Levy is the biggest snake in the grass that you'll ever meet. Boldly lies to your face with pricing and services done. He will make his employees charge you for items that you don't need. I work for him currently and I can't believe the stuff that I have to do to customers, to get that extra 50 dollars. I would not recommend this company for a move. Theres better out there. He definitely has not one once of integrity, theres no such thing as being honest with anyone. Sad thing is that once our customers sign the contract, they're binded to it. His wife Carrie Levy is the same way. I would steer clear of this place if you're looking for movers. read more

I couldn't be more disappointed in this company. They claim to have one of the best damage records in the industry, but there isn't enough room here to show you all the pictures of our belongings that were broken or damaged. All of our belongings didn't fit on one truck and instead of adding a trailer so that we would get everything at once they told us our stuff would be here in two weeks or less. Finally almost 3 months later, after we filed a complaint with the Federal Transportation Commission, the remainder of our stuff showed up. They quote a firm price, yet the initial driver told us we owed an additional $1000, which we refused to pay. He was very, very rude to my wife and at one point when it began to sprinkle he rudly demanded that she sign some form he had. Since she had no idea what he was talking about, she refused. He yelled at her that she had to sign it. We bought the additional insurance, but they only give you 30 days to submit claims when it might take months to get everything unpacked not to mention the fact that we didn't even receive part of our belongings for months after they were suppose to arrive. When our attorney contacted them and said we would be willing to settle for $2500 he was told they had just sent a check out for $1500 for full settlement. The truth is they probably cut the check that very day after talking with him. It was only 6 months late and didn't begin to cover the extent of the damage caused to our belongings, not to mention the inconvenience caused by their total indifference to our problems. Based on our terrible experience with this company, I would strongly encourage anyone looking for a moving company to look past this one. read more

I would strongly discourage anyone from using Exodus Moving and Storage for out of state moves. I recently moved from Fort Collins, Colorado to the Twin Cities, and Exodus was scheduled to deliver my belongings to the Twin Cities on August 6-7. They were not able to arrive until August 13, despite unofficially guaranteeing me that at most they would be 2-3 days later than scheduled. Further, I told them far in advance I would be leaving the country on August 11 and needed assurrance that they would arrive before then. Because I did not feel comfortable with them delivering my belongings while I was gone, I kindly requested that they reschedule delivery till the end of August upon my return, but they refused to accommodate my request. Aside from all of this, Exodus NEVER called me to let me know that they would not be arriving on August 6. In fact, the truck had not even left Fort Collins by August 8, but they NEVER notified me. I had to call and pester them EVERY SINGLE DAY to get any information, despite requesting that they please keep me informed. Another very unprofessional thing about Exodus is that one of their employees said "I don't give a F*!$" to me on the phone, though I was being very polite. He sent a written apology, but the company did not officially apologize or compensate in any way for such aggresssive, inappropriate, and unproffesional behavior. I told Exodus that I would be out of the country and not reachable by cell phone, yet they continued to call ME rather than the contact person that I provided. When I returned, I discovered that they charged me $200 WITHOUT my authorization. I signed a credit card authorization form for a certain amount before leaving, and instructed them that I would leave a blank check with my contact person should any further expenses be incurred, yet they still charged my credit card without my authorization. One box was broken with stuff falling out, and wheels were missing off of multiple pieces of my furniture. In sum, I had a very poor experience with Exodus. They are unaccommodating, incompentent, and unprofessional, and I would caution anyone from choosing this company for an out of state move. read more

At first I thought this was going to be a very smooth and nice move. My husband and I packed a few wardrobe boxes and a couple of china boxes all which arrived in perfect condition. A couple days before the move 4 people came in to pack our belongings this took 2 days. After that 4 young guys came to pack and load the van, we took up the entire semi. Apparently from what the driver stated the boys did a horrible job of loading our items and many are broken. They packed books and antique vases in the same boxes. I have spent thousands of dollars on very high end silk flowers and they just smashed them into boxes and many of them are ruined. We had purchased a small vintage shabby chic looking mirrored cabinet for our kitchen, and no it was not real wood, but I paid about 450.00 for it and it looked very nice. All the mirrors were broken the piece was pretty much smashed. As I was going through the kitchen boxes almost every dish, glass, pan, etc., I removed had to immediately go into the dishwasher due to the fact there was blood smeared on everything. One of the packers cut his finger and must have just left it bleeding. My daughter drove over from Huntington Beach to help us unpack the kitchen items and was so grossed out she put on rubber gloves. I have been going through boxes and getting very frustrated at how they handled our items, many of which I have said are antiques or vintage pieces. One of the owners of Exodus came over one afternoon and introduced herself to us in CO and she was a very nice woman and so helpful. Sergio, the coordinator was extremely good at his job too. Jason, the sales guy was good too, but they did overcharge for the final move. When the van arrived they had hired out 4 guys from a company in San Diego to unload. These guys were from Sullivan Moving and they were fantastic! I even called the company to brag on them. I am going to say this rates as one of the moves I would not want to do over. Very disappointed. It will be interesting to see how the "claims" are handled since we paid for the best claim service offered. STAY AWAY... STAY AWAY! I have used Exodus in the past and they did a great job. This time I had three moves scheduled with them, since last January, The first move was in February and they packed my parents' home in Kansas and stored it here in Colorado. The second move was a partial move that we packed to de-clutter our current home. The final move they came and packed half of what was left and delivered all of our belongings to the new home, but did not schedule the correct amount of people, so the move did not finish until 3 days after it was supposed to. There were so many things wrong, I can only recommend you use another service, any other service. There were so many things lost and broken, (nothing is broken that we packed). They clearly did not show any regard for our property. Lampshades were thrown in boxes with other items and all stuffed in and were crushed. Some crystal stemware was broken. Glass shelves for the china hutch never showed up, we lost a priceless stained-glass window, parts were missing from the bedroom sets (this is all items they packed). They also carried and loaded furniture upside down or sideways even though the pieces were filled with our personal property, and many items fell in tot he back and now the drawers will not open. In addition, they packed all of the power cords for all electronic items in a separate box, and then that box did not show up so we had to track down power cords for computers, TVs handheld vacuums, and so on, and some power cords we still have not been able to purchase. All in all, we are out thousands of dollars and of course, the carrier insurance is bogus. We called to see if they could find the missing items and did not receive a call back until we hounded them, and they still were not able to locate anything that was missing, saying that they were too busy. By far the worst moving experience ever. Being in business for over 30 years, I am expected to have a high level of competency in all of my business dealings, and I expect a certain level of competency when working with companies personally, as well and this company definitely does not meet my expectations. read more
