He had excellent ratings and I paid more because of his ratings and because I wanted to support a small business in our community. My recent move has been a nightmare. I had numerous issues, but the most troubling is damage to almost every piece of my new furniture that was moved. One end table was completely destroyed and Juan took ownership of that damage and he also took ownership for 2 chips on a very expensive nightstand. So far, I have discovered damage to 4 pieces of furniture and I still cannot get to my other furniture, unfortunately, I expect to see more damage. Yesterday, I contacted him to discuss a resolution and he turned the narrative around and put the blame on me, of course saying that all of the damage was pre-existing, even though everything is brand new, has never been moved before and I offered to provide my receipts showing this. He then told me to do "what I had to do", even as his website states " We're here to serve you and we guarantee your satisfaction." He had a new, inexperienced, very young employee and I definitely think that had much to do with the damage. Several times I saw both Juan and the other mover showing him the proper way to move things. I hold Juan responsible, as a new employee should be properly trained and qualified before they move a household of a person's valuable and sentimental items.

We kept going back to Watson because of Jordan, and eminently professional mover with an excellent eye for negotiating large furniture through tight hallways. our amoire alone has daunted other moving guys, but not Jordan. One of their guys suffered a knee injury so the next day the owner of the company, Joel, came out to cover for him himself! It was a big move and there were lots of challenges, but the Watson guys never complained once and kept a positive attitude throughout. There is a litany of other problems with this company, but at the end, their packing and moving services left us with many thousands of dollars worth of damage, frustrating re-packs of previously packed Klatt packed items, and hours of phone calls seeking restitution. Edit: You can see that the business clearly believes their packing is unrelated to damage while a pod is moving. So if you're not using them for your end-to-end move, be aware they will disclaim any damage from poor packing.

The moving itself was largely smooth but not completely flawless, in that I did get some damages and I noticed the staff was not wearing masks. They did our unloading for our move a few years ago and we had never had such a good experience moving! We'd lost their card after our move so I was so glad I found their contact information here. We recently hired Bigg Brown for our full move and they did an incredible job! They arrived 5 minutes before our scheduled start time. They were kind, respectful, and had such positive attitudes the entire time. They were gentle with our belongings and our homes, I don't think we had a single scuff on our walls in either location. I have a wobbly shelf that I did not anticipate surviving the move, and even told them as much, but they successfully got it to our new home in one piece. They were very efficient with time, I had movers refuse to do my move the previous week and quote me 7 hours with 4 movers. Bigg Brown did my entire move with 3 movers, both loading and unloading, in 4 hours. And to top it all off, they were very affordable compared to other companies in the area! To start, the two movers were kind and polite - I want to give them credit for that. My reservation was for 12 PM, and I was told they'd arrive between 12-1, but I didn't receive a clear heads-up on timing and they showed up at 11:58 AM. They began billing as soon as they arrived, and since I don't live on-site and was running behind picking up the truck, I ended up being billed for that time. I understand part of that is on me for running late, but clearer communication would have helped. Unfortunately, the actual move is where things went downhill. Furniture was dropped, pushed through doorways, and not handled with much care. I have a white couch that I've kept in great condition, and they laid it on its side and dragged it across the floor of the storage unit and truck. By the end, it was covered in black dust. At the time, I was trying to be understanding and didn't say much - especially since the manager asked for feedback over the phone while I was standing right next to the movers. After everything was done, I discovered damage to multiple door frames in my home. That was the tipping point for me. I now have to pay for repairs and likely professional cleaning for the couch.
