The Exhibition Hall in Seattle Center is one of the underrated venues in all of Seattle. With a straightforward layout, a solid medium size, reasonable sound system (not great though), clean bathrooms (HUGE bonus points), an included little eatery (open only during events), I have attended musical performances during Bumbershoot and Folklife Festival here, as well as exhibition events such as Urban Craft Uprising, VegFest, and Gem & Jewelry show at this venue. Each time, I thought the venue to be very functional, not so big that I feel overwhelmed or think I would spend too much time there, and well-lit, so I can appreciate what is being shown during the exhibition. Parking can be abundantly available via the pricey garage. Or find street parking (knock on wood) and hope to get lucky with a 2 hour spot. On Sunday, parking is free so I tend to go to the events on Sunday to avoid the parking fee.
The photo is a seller from Urban Craft Uprising. His art is hilarious! Totally worth a funny gift purchase via briancook.net. (I have no affliction to him. Just had a good laugh of his art.) read more
