I was gifted a Webber BBQ from home appliance in June. Three months into having the BBQ, the flame…read morewould drop off causing a propane build up under the hood of the bbq. Confused as to why my grill stopped heating I touched the knob to see if a friend had maybe turned it off and it led to a big explosion. After contacting Weber, they hit me with a legal waiver and said they won't come fix my practically brand new grill unless I sign it. Home appliance was made aware how ridiculous that request is because all I am asking for is for a professional to come and fix it and they're doing absolutely nothing about it. Really shitty customer service. As a long time resident of Oceanside I hate to bash a local store but the owner Jeffery didn't help at all with the situation. The least he could do is send someone to back their products and warrantee. Since the owner is now trying to turn this situation on me (on my google review) I am adding to my original post. I never threatened to sue, being there is nothing to sue for lmao. They asked me if I got burnt and I was honest and said my eyes and hair were burnt but then responded how grateful I am that no real injuries were a result of the explosion. Get your facts straight home appliance before trying to turn it on me. You sold me a malfunctioning grill and are letting Webber play games with me. Your own employee's exact words were "one thing has nothing to do with the other and they should repair the brand new grill". My advice: purchase from retailers who back the product they sell and if there are issues within the warrantee they honor that. Any other appliance store would take back the BBQ or replace it. All I was asking for is someone to come and fix it. Costco's just around the block and you won't have to deal with this !

His ideas were creative and he knows the product line very well. We never felt pressured into spending outside of our budget. He was communicative throughout the process of ordering to delivery. When we realized one of the faucet kits was missing a part, Greenart's post-sale service effort was pathetically poor and indifferent. Thanks to the kind (and gratis) efforts of two other plumbing supply businesses we obtained the part and completed the project. In my view, once Green Art has made the sale you are on your own. I will never use them again.

The chairs were handcrafted by Rustic Loft's Amish partners, and the quality is first rate--solid wood, expertly finished, and a perfect complement to our existing furniture. Rustic Loft quoted 8-12 weeks for delivery, and while it took the full 12 weeks, the timing worked out perfectly for Thanksgiving. Communication was good, and while we were able to call for updates, it would be even better if progress reports were shared every few weeks, especially when you have a deadline like Thanksgiving. Overall, we're very pleased with the craftsmanship, value, and service, and we'd gladly recommend Rustic Loft to anyone looking for quality furniture.

The cushions on our quartet of Breuer kitchen chairs were fine but the metal frames needed…read morereplacement. Only TheBreuerChair.com (orders fulfilled by Horizon) seemed to have these frames in stock. Online info is not always reliable, so I called Horizon to confirm whether this item was available for immediate shipment. The sales rep put me on hold while she checked with the warehouse. I was kept on hold for 20 minutes. Finally she assured me that these items were definitely in stock and would be shipped promptly upon receipt of my order. Did the frames include chair glides? No. So, she added 4 sets of glides to my order. I gladly provided my credit card info over the phone. Swiftly came the infuriating message that the chair frames were backordered and would take 10-12 weeks to fulfill. I balked about being misled, but owner Ben Z. apologetically explained that the items believed to be in stock were actually allocated to previous orders, and assured me that my credit card would not be charged until my order was ready to ship. I agreed to wait. 11 weeks later, my order (shipped by FedEx) finally arrived. Unfortunately the carton was badly damaged during transit. Apart from some loosely crumpled paper, its contents were not at all protected. While the frames were neither bent out of shape nor dented, I observed minor scratches and abrasions on all four pieces. This absolutely could have been prevented if Horizon had packed the order properly. Oh, that's not all. The 4 sets of single-prong chair glides were incompatible with these frames, which arrived with double-prong glides already installed. Rather than return the frames and then have to wait another 3 months for replacement, I opted to polish out the abrasions myself (I used a cloth buffing wheel + white polishing compound). Ben Z. offered to refund the $28 cost of the unneeded glides plus a 10% discount on the chair frames. I accepted. Wait! The story isn't quite over! Horizon eventually processed my refund, but not without additional rounds of email and foot-dragging. And then, my credit card statement revealed that [drumroll] Horizon charged DOUBLE for my order! Attributing the gaping overcharge to "confusion and error within our processing system," Ben Z. apologized and refunded the erroneous amount. No business is immune from occasionally botching an order, but there was absolutely no excuse for this debacle.

Public Service Announcement: FURNITURE GALLERY OF LONG ISLAND, 607 Sunrise Highway, Bellmore, NY…read more I recently purchased a high-end Flexsteel sectional and recliner from MICHAEL ACKER, the owner of FURNITURE GALLERY OF LI located on Sunrise Highway, Bellmore. Upon delivery, I noticed that the sectional did not align at all; the top, bottom, back, and front seams were completely off. Something was clearly wrong. After Mike's unsuccessful attempt to fix the alignment, he sent an outside field technician. Based on the field technician's multiple years' experience, he deemed the sectional a "manufacturer defect" and the furniture was removed from my home within 3 weeks of initial delivery. However, Mike thought it was acceptable to withhold $500 from me, the consumer. He basically charged me a fee for "defective" furniture; something I did not cause and had absolutely no control over. When asked why I am paying anything, Mike said he delivered it, picked it up, and spent time working the issue so I should pay; something he classified as "being fair." Mind you, I took time off from work for delivery and pick up, gave his men a generous cash tip, and spent numerous hours and experienced much aggravation to address the issue. Should I be reimbursed for that? I should also mention that Mike stated that the misalignment was "normal for some sectionals" and there was really "nothing wrong." Seriously? Neither he nor the field technician could repair the problem; and his field technician deemed it "defective" (I have the final report as proof). I reached out to a VP at Flexsteel (the manufacturer) for help. They informed me that the issue was resolved between them and Furniture Gallery of LI via Flexsteel's warranty process, which supports the "manufacturer defect" claim. After learning this, I decided to revisit Mike in his store to try and resolve this and give him another chance to return my money and make things right. Needless to say, we got nowhere. I am sharing some photos and a brief video so you can view and decide for yourself. Unfortunately, it has been a horrible experience with this local merchant. I have no furniture and I am out money for no reason of my own.
