Even if this wasn't a "clearance outlet" their prices are laughable. Do they know Amazon and Walmart exists? They are charging insane prices, multiple THOUSANDS for cheap wicker outdoor furniture that can be purchased almost anywhere else at a fraction of the price. Horrible product and even worse customer service. We spent over $4,000 on an outdoor set in July 2020. It is now complete garbage - the resin wicker that the product claims is "able to withstand the most intense UV rays" is crumbling to the touch. They have informed me that there is nothing they can do except offer me a discount against another purchase. Why would anyone throw good money after bad? So basically we paid $1,250 a year for this set and now I have to pay to have it taken away to the dump. read more

MY COORESPONDENCE WITH FORTUNOFF I opened my table and proceeded to start painting it to match my chairs then when I took table out to start on I realized it in fact does not accommodate a 2 inc umbrella I would never had purchased this if you answered correctly!! I have an umbrella that only fits in a 2 inch opening, obviously including the protective insert to buffer umbrella pole from hitting the glass top. I'd like to update my review because i feel it's fair to do so. There were some issues with shipment of my products because some did not make it from overseas. I went into the store and the manager who i felt wasn't helpful during my initial encounter in the store actually went above and beyond to help me get my products as soon as possible so i could have them for my party. I changed my review from 3 to 4 stars because of my previous and great experience from barbara and now my great experience from Artie, which helped me get my furniture in time. Also, the delivery service that assembled and delivered the furniture was fantastic. My only suggestion is that employees should be a little more proactive in regards to seeing if customers need assistance in the store, but now i can say that i would come back here again based on my overall experience read more

Don't believe a thing about their delivery service. I ordered 2 pieces of backyard furniture. I received a phone call with a promised delivery date and time slot. When the time slot was passed, I called and received a call-back that they were running 2 hours late, but would deliver my furniture that day. After 2 hours passed I got a call from the driver who said he would delivery the furniture the next morning around 10:00 am. It is now 3:15 pm in the afternoon and still no delivery. I called Fortunoff again and they said they would find out and get back to me. I have little confidence they will meet their next commitment, if I even get one. They did finally show up around 4:00 pm and delivered the furniture. But what a hastle. Fortunoff did call me back shortly after the delivery to confirm that I received the furniture. read more

Came here to check out what they had for Christmas decorations this year. In the past Fortunoff use to have a huge display with many options. They had always been very pricy but the quality was very good. From what I have seen this time is they didn't have much of a variety even though the displays were beautiful. What was there I felt was overpriced for the quality. I had bought a pre-lit tree a few years back and well and behold year after year more lights would go out. Now I have a pre-lit tree where I have to put my own lights on. Hopefully they are made better now. I miss the days when Fortunoff was around as a regular dept store. All their merchandise was good quality as their outdoor furniture still is. For their Christmas store I give 3 stars but their outdoor I would give more. read more

DO NOT ORDER ANYTHING ONLINE - This is just ridiculous! I ordered furniture several weeks ago. My credit card was charged, received confirmation of the order then nothing. When I phoned, they said I owed another $500! When I asked why they said they don't tell customers how much shipping is until they call. They said they always wait until customers call - because eventually customers all figure out they need to call and then the customer gets told the real price including shipping and they can choose to pay or not. When I questioned paying $500 shipping on a $1000 item - he said of course that makes sense! After months of waiting for fully paid furniture to be delivered, we received less than 24 hours notice that our "delivery time" encompassed dinner time- on a holiday! Delivery was LATE, past the latest time in the "window". They arrived during our dinner with family guests. Store (Doylestown) insisted that they could not help us. Lasted 4 years with maintenance, regular cleaning and always covered. Fastener for one gas burner crumbled & broke making 1 burner unusable, electric start stopped working, and flame on high of remaining burner very low. Store discontinued carrying Lucas & referred to CS, CS referred to mfg; mfg's CS tel in endless call queue, no reply from email. FBYS CS cmb with favorable offer to solve problem. Yay! Stick to buying recog brand grills (e.g. Weber) who makes high quality device, earns their reviews, offers parts and stands behind prod. FBYS makes a habit of offering quality. I went to Fortunoff bc I thought, even though I knew they had high prices, id be getting quality furniture. Boy was i wrong. Cant tell how disappointed I was when my delivery came and all the boxes said, made in China. I'm sorry but the Chinese dont care about quality and if fortunoff thinks buying from them is ok, then they dont care about quality either. We bought a nice outdoor sectional set and within a week, all of the cushions started to fade from the sun. Fortunoff sent me junk. Pour quality merchandise. So I called the paramus store and discussed my issue with a rep. Then for 2 weeks I didn't hear anything from anyone and called again. This time i asked for the manager. I emailed her pictures of the fading fabric and then tried to call her. Another 2 weeks went by before I got her on the phone. She told me, were looking into it. I was pissed and then reversed the charges on my card. Then they started to call me. And not in a nice way. They did get me new cushions but are now telling me I need to pay for the set before they will give them to me. My concern is what if they fade again? May just give the whole set back. We purchased an artificial Christmas tree from the Fortunoff Backyard store in Livingston NJ at the end of November of 2014 and have had nothing but problems with the trees lighting from the second year on. Fortunoff did not want nothing to do with us, and they sent us to a dingy warehouse in South Plainfield NJ where 2 men checked and changed all the bulbs that were burnt out, (close to 50). I waited there close to an hour while they went over the tree. For the next three years, every time we set up the tree it takes us several hours to change all the bulbs that are burnt out just from us plugging in the tree. We have been averaging over 100 bulbs a year to change. We do it ourselves because it is such an inconvenience to bring the tree to South Plainfield. I call Fortunoff every year just vent, even though i know they will not do anything about it. I had a tree from Home Depot for 10 years and never had to replace one light, so I am tossing this $600 tree and going to buy a new tree from Home Depot. Yes I know it will not be as real looking as the tree we have, but at least it will not burn my house down, which is what I fear is going to happen if I keep using this tree from Fortunoff. We just purchased a $300 11 ft. California umbrella from Fortunoff's in Nanuet, NY on May 27, 2018. We literally opened the umbrella twice since purchasing. The second time we opened it to use it, the entire center pole bent over and cracked into two pieces, obviously a defective item. I called the store and was told that first they don't return anything after 7 days, which they should have told us when we purchased it (they did not), and secondly if we didn't have the original packaging, they wouldn't help us. Why would we keep the original packaging two weeks later? Why would we think there would be any reason to return it? We spent a lot on the umbrella and are only looking for a replacement. Customer service is very poor at this location. We went around 4:30-5pm and most of the employees were busy socializing with each other (STRIKE 1). Some were even sitting (!!) and having conversations, while we were ignored. When we approached them for help and inquired about a patio set, the lady checked but informed us it was out of stock. We left the store but realized maybe the one on display might be on sale. She checked w a colleague and her colleagued noticed the lady was looking up the wrong patio set. There were actually MANY in stock (STRIKE 2). We placed the order and when she was tallying up the total, I asked twice if that was the correct price (since it was supposed to be on sale) and she said yes. I asked again and she didn't believe me, so she went to the display sign and low and behold, she gave me the wrong price (STRIKE 3). She blamed it on the computer system. I don't know what to believe. Finally, the day has come for it to be delivered to my home from 2-6pm. 6pm comes and no phone call or any sight of my delivery (STRIKE 4). I call the store twice and they give me the standard excuse that they are stuck in traffic. The shipment finally arrives after 7pm. Avoid this location. I'm only giving 2 stars because I really like the patio set and the delivery guys set up the patio for me no charge. read more

Went right before Christmas. Gorgeous ornaments. I was looking for feathers but found something similar which I fell in love with. Were gold and had sequins was a feather design just firm and worked perfect. Now trying to find a nice vase to have them out all year. Prices are not cheap. They did inform me the day after Christmas everything is 1/2 price but beware of the lines. Was not even going to try it. I'm sure if they brought down the prices a little or sold more bundles they wouldn't have to sell so much at 1/2 price. Apparently the sales person is allowed to dupe the customer into believing that furniture would be delivered by a certain time, then delay the delivery twice so that arrival would be 6 - 8 weeks beyond that which was expected. Had we known that the furniture would not be delivered until about mid July ( we ordered it in mid April) we would have left the store and continued our search. We have been told that our money is non refundable as it was a final sale - a sale that was advertised as a "holiday" sale. We have found this same furniture on line - at the same price as Fortunoff's "sale" price; however, we clearly are now unable to purchase anything as Fortunoff holds our money hostage. Do yourself a favor and shop elsewhere. Although we strive to support local businesses, this is one situation where you'll be better off purchasing your patio furniture on line after visiting the store and trying the furniture on for size. read more

Rohin, I have not heard back from you. I can send you pictures of the Macy's furniture and the Fortunoff furniture that are both on the same patio. Both are aluminum with slings, one is a dinning set and the other a bar set. The Macy's furniture has faded, the fading is uniform and it is overall fine, does not look like it needs to be thrown out. The Forunoff furniture made by AGIO the finish has drastic and unevenly faded (even on the same arm rest), is bubbled and flaked off. It needs to be thrown out. So the question is, does AGIO only warranty the finish for 1 year because it is an inferior finish and product or is my furniture defective and Fortunoff and AGIO will not stand behind it. Very disappointed with the way Fortunoff Backyard Store handles their orders. I purchased a patio set in May 2014 and was told that the earliest they can deliver was mid-July 2014. OK I thought, just in time for my daughter's private engagement party. Two months past and no calls regarding our delivery. They show up yesterday morning with the six chairs and seat cushions, and said that the table was back ordered. The delivery of the table was being re-scheduled to mid-August. That three months and too late my what we needed it for. Spoke with the customer service representative on the phone and all he can say was sorry but the delivery was delayed. Said to call back in August to arrange for delivery. Now we have six chairs and no table. I am seriously considering cancelling this order and telling them to come pick up the chairs. read more

I bought 2 outdoor tables, 10 chairs and 2 lounges last summer. Put them in the garage for the winter and when I took them out two of the chairs were rusting. Sent my claim and pictures to Customer Service for Fortunoff BYS. Received their automatic response. Over 4 months I sent several e-mails and always received the automatic response. On one of my e-mails I sent a picture of the table and showed them that the rails (it is an extendable table) were also rusting. I finally sent an e-mail that said I needed an answer immedately. They finally called me and said they were sending 2 replacement chairs. As far as the tabl,e they said the rails were made out of steel and steel rusts so I should get a scraper, scrape off the rust and put a rust preservative on!!!! I said "How about if if you bought a new car and it started rusting after 6 months and the car company said - steel rusts, so scrape it off and put a rust perservative on! They told me the manufacturer won't pay for it and I told them I didn;t buy it from the manufacturer, I bought it from Fortunoffs. First let me start with we purchased over $5,000 worth of outdoor furniture from Fortunoff's Backyard store in 2014, only 5 years ago. At first we had been excited and in love with the furniture. Then the nightmare stared about 2 years ago... our $450 a piece sling chairs (fabric seat and back) had started "shredding"... yes I mean falling apart and shredding!! I contacted the warranty company, Guardian who when they did finally contact me they had been rude, abrupt, dismissive and did not leave their name nor phone numbers for a returned call. They do not cover the fabric on the chairs! Are you serious!! Why did we pay $500 for an extended warranty I asked and have been asking?? Finally after 1-1/2 years back and forth with Fortunoff's customer service (by the way horrible service) we have a resolve. I negotiated a discount on new chairs to purchase. And the worst part of all is they knew the chairs would have a problem, the fabric had been discontinued and we had never been told!! And they would not help us with a resolve until I suggested the discount. This time around we purchased full metal chairs with cushions that can get replaced. We will never and I mean never purchase anything from Fortunoff's again. Our only reason to purchase the new chairs from them at considerable cost to us $1200 (oh and they charged us the tax during no tax time, I had that removed) is because they match the table and the serving cart, which I had found at a tag sale. Just so you know and understand 2-1/2 years ago FBYS was sold to a Texas company... it is not the quality nor the service Fortunoff's was so famous for. Our condo purchases three tables and 16 chairs from this location which were delivered April 2013. Now two years later 14 of the 16 chairs and 2 of the 3 tables have peeling finishes. The store refuses to stand behind its product. I wouldn't shop here. I expect patio furniture to last more than two years. I went here on June 21 to purchase a patio set. The manager, Theresa, is very rude. I simply asked if the 10% friends and family discount applied to clearance items and she became very irritated. My grandmother had additional questions and Theresa spoke over her and raised her voice as if she was annoyed with the follow up questions. She should NOT be in retail with that attitude.
