    Hi folks, welcome to Home appliances in Oceanside, Long Island. Wife and I are looking at new furniture. We have a few ideas and we're looking to add some new ones. We really like patronizing small local businesses and with it's free parking lot, Home seemed the ideal place to browse. After walking in I was surprised at the amount of merchandise in this little corner store. What immediately struck me was the genuine friendliness of the sales folks that offered to help me. I was especially pleased to be introduced to the idea of adding a electronic fireplace to our new furniture lineup. Home had quite a few of the electronic fireplaces to look at, play with and to imagine them being in my home. This is one of the reasons that I really needed to take the time to personally visit brick-and-mortar establishments. I need to develop a rapport with my salesperson and I need to be able to personally examine the manufacturers quality of the furniture and products. Most importantly, I want to be able to sit on my Furniture considerations to see if they're comfortable. Home Appliance checks all of these boxes it was such a pleasure to leisurely browse without any sales pressure. I want to thank the kind folks for helping me shop and giving me some great ideas and information. It was also nice to see that customers can Finance their purchases here at 0% (if they qualify). Thanks again for the hospitality.. Looking to see everyone again soon.

    Great customer service, fairly priced, delivery was exceptional-exactly as promised. Have been a customer for over 20 years. Shop local!!!

    There are better places to buy and nicer people elsewhere. Their selection is ok but they lack courtest

    I bought a Frigidaire stove that offered a rebate up to $100 for the extra cost to make their…read moreFrigidaire stove fit into my existing kitchen. When the installers arrived with the stove, they had no clue how to install the stove beyond plugging it into the wall. They just left it to us to figure out what to do. We had to call an electrician to make some changes and someone else to cut out a space in the counter top. After it was all said and done we spent well beyond $100 to install it. The worst part is that I had to provide an invoice for proof of purchase in order to receive the rebate, but P. C. Richards could not even provide me with an invoice. I asked several times and they kept emailing a delivery notice instead and insisting that this was all the proof of purchase I needed. When I went online to provide my information for Frigidaire, it would not send. I tried numerous times on different devices and asked others to help, to no avail. The send button simply did not work. I finally sent my information with a copy of my credit card statement as proof of purchase, as well as the delivery notice in a certified mail. When I did not hear back, I searched for Frigidaire contact information, which was not easy to find. When I called Frigidaire's phone number, I was put on hold for nearly an hour. I spoke with someone who told me that I was denied because I did not have an invoice. I asked why I did not receive notice. They said they could not send me an email telling me that I was denied, because I had not emailed them with my email address. Now I am back to square one again, asking P. C. Richards for an invoice. I actually would have bought this oven without the promise of a rebate. I would have been happy with my oven, but I now feel tricked into buy it and then lied to. I feel like they never intended to honor this incentive anyway. When I called for the fourth time, I asked for the manager, who was not available and never returned my call. I don't ever want to do business with the Oceanside, NY P. C. Richards ever again. I will certainly not ever buy another Frigidaire product. After I wrote this review, I called the P.C. Richards in Norwalk and they provided me with the invoice within less than a minute. I wish I had gone to them first.

On a Friday in August I tried every option & no one available except "Appliance Dr." Ronnie & his assistant came within hours. They were sure it was the fridge fan which they immediately replaced (no electronic testing gear needed?). The refrigerator/freezer worked ok for a few weeks then same issue reoccurred. They came back & replaced the thermostat but gave me a very reasonable bill for the part to pay once I was satisfied with the service call (which I paid a month later). It is now November & refrigerator is still on target temps! Nice hard working local techs!

Total nightmare. I called in the morning, not expecting much, but they got someone out that same day. The tech was super friendly, knew exactly what they were doing, and had it fixed fast. The price was very fair -- no surprises, no sales pitch, just great service. As a new parent trying to get settled here, this was such a relief. I'll definitely be using The Appliance Doctor again and recommending them to any neighbors who need appliance help. If you want fast, honest, no-hassle service, this is your place!

    I just wanted to give a review of my experience with my freezer repair…read more I received a call with the date (following day) from 9-5 window. I requested a call before tech arrived. About 9:05 I received the call that he was 30mins out. He arrived at 9:30 and was polite and knew exactly what the problem was ( I provided a video of noise, since noise was not always present) and got to work. Short time later he had replaced the fan and gave me tips on how to make freezer and refrigerator run more efficiently. Beside a couple wire clippings you would never know I had a repair person in my apt! Happy customer here! Oh and the girl that made the appointment was sweet as well!

He showed up unannounced. Then lied & said he called twice (phone records exist dude). Looked at the fridge for all of 5 minutes then insisted on "fixing the freezer" which didn't need fixing. Ever since then, our freezer & fridge are no longer keeping temperature & the fridge seal is still not fixed...which is what he was hired to do in the first place. He didn't speak a single lick of English - literally none; he can't communicate at all. The technician was supposed to come back today but I called 4 times & no one is answering the phone
