I bought a Frigidaire stove that offered a rebate up to $100 for the extra cost to make their Frigidaire stove fit into my existing kitchen. When the installers arrived with the stove, they had no clue how to install the stove beyond plugging it into the wall. They just left it to us to figure out what to do. We had to call an electrician to make some changes and someone else to cut out a space in the counter top. After it was all said and done we spent well beyond $100 to install it. The worst part is that I had to provide an invoice for proof of purchase in order to receive the rebate, but P. C. Richards could not even provide me with an invoice. I asked several times and they kept emailing a delivery notice instead and insisting that this was all the proof of purchase I needed. When I went online to provide my information for Frigidaire, it would not send. I tried numerous times on different devices and asked others to help, to no avail. The send button simply did not work. I finally sent my information with a copy of my credit card statement as proof of purchase, as well as the delivery notice in a certified mail. When I did not hear back, I searched for Frigidaire contact information, which was not easy to find. When I called Frigidaire's phone number, I was put on hold for nearly an hour. I spoke with someone who told me that I was denied because I did not have an invoice. I asked why I did not receive notice. They said they could not send me an email telling me that I was denied, because I had not emailed them with my email address. Now I am back to square one again, asking P. C. Richards for an invoice. I actually would have bought this oven without the promise of a rebate. I would have been happy with my oven, but I now feel tricked into buy it and then lied to. I feel like they never intended to honor this incentive anyway. When I called for the fourth time, I asked for the manager, who was not available and never returned my call. I don't ever want to do business with the Oceanside, NY P. C. Richards ever again. I will certainly not ever buy another Frigidaire product. After I wrote this review, I called the P.C. Richards in Norwalk and they provided me with the invoice within less than a minute. I wish I had gone to them first. read more

Bought 2 air conditioners over the last few years. Neither one was installed properly. The installers were in and out of my apartment within 10 minutes. The one in my bedroom has about an inch gap where the wind and various insect make their way in. They also left the fiberglass insulation from my previous unit all over the floor. There is a gap as well around the living room a/c. Needless to say I won't be buying any appliances from this company again. Their customer service really stinks. read more

Purchased a GE stacked washer dryer and their extended warranty. After 6 months the wash tub was rusting and ruining clothes with brown stains. Called for service and a tech came 3 weeks later. Said he would report the issue and get back to us. Didn't hear back- Called service dept and they said tech found no problem. Yes they had photos of the rusted part on file that the tech sent. Said we needed another tech to confirm the unit was faulty. Gave me an appointment in 4 weeks. Meanwhile, can't wash clothes. I called GE directly, They sent a tech the next day. Tech said they will replace the entire washer dryer with a new one. PC Richard still hasn't sent a second tech and GE is already replacing the machine. Technician's are useless and lazy. We've had an issue with our washing machine for months and the same guy comes and gaslights us because he tests the machine and it works fine when it's empty. The previous time we had him come we showed him with clothes in the washer still full of water not washing and how this red light came on and wouldn't turn off and he said they needed to change the panel. Today the same guy came in acting like he didn't know anything about changing the panel piece that he himself was supposed to order. He checked the machine with the computer phone thing and said he wasn't changing anything because it's working fine being snarky. He left an hour ago and what do you know . The machine isn't working. Will not be going back to the Oceanside, NY location. Salesperson was pushy, rushed me and added things to my bill without asking me. Luckily I looked it over before signing, caught it & had it removed. Washer/dryer were delivered today but the dryer was damaged. I had to call the store to reschedule the delivery & the person I spoke with was rude and seemed like they didn't want to be bothered. Considering the product they delivered to me was damaged you'd expect them to at least try to be accommodating or apologetic. The original lead time for delivery was a week & now we have to wait another 3 days. I stepped into PC Richards (my 5th stop at an appliance store for the day) focused on getting a lower price to simply go back to a competitor that had given me the biggest bang for the buck. I had done this a dozen times in the past & everything was going to plan until I was greeted by a Mike who simply asked if I had any questions. I actually had a few questions, after all I was buying a TV, a refrigerator, and a dishwasher..but not at PC Richard's...again, focused on buying from the competitor. Mike answered so many questions, walked me through patiently, and best of all was not the stereotypical salesman...didnt push me to pricier items, focused on finding the great product AND A GREAT PRICE POINT.. He was honest, transparent, and extremely knowledgeable on all items. I studied the brand's via consumer reports, Yelp reviews, and reviews on websites. Mike knew them back and forth AND made additional practical points even articles had not considered. I had priced items at multiple stores...Mike beat all competitor pricing and then some! I purchased 3 products I thought were beyond anything I can afford at an incredible price! Anyone who has been to them in the past, knows that you would have to bring your bargaining skills with you. Real reason for this review About 3 weeks ago one of my TVs broke, so I head over and make a quick purchase to replace. While waiting I walk over to beds and I said "f it" I want this bed. $4000 grand later for my new bed alone. It was worth every penny, I have slept like a baby since it was delivered. I purchased a mattress from them spent $4500 and it was an absolute nightmare. First delivery the man said I couldn't be delivered. Took off a day at work waited around all day to find out it was a major disappointment. I was without a bed for about a week. They should stick to selling TVs. Horrible experience with this company. I bought a refrigerator on September 4 and they usually say one day delivery but they were going to deliver it later that week so about five days later they came out and the delivery man said that it it will not fit into my space because the dimensions I was given by the store were wrong. The delivery people seemed too lazy to take it out of the truck to see if it actually fit so I wasted a half a day waiting for them. When I contacted the store I was told that they would send another crew out and that the dimensions were the correct dimensions. We scheduled an appointment for today but they would not give me a time until the night before which meant I had to dedicate the entire day to the delivery. Last night they emailed me saying the delivery would be between 7:15 and 11:15 in the morning and so I stayed at home and waited. By 1130, when no one had shown up and there was no call, I called the store and was told to wait a while longer for the delivery men. I then called the manager who after a long hold told me that the refrigerator never went out that day and was still at the warehouse. I could not believe that they knew all morning that I was not going to get the refrigerator and made no effort to contact me and in fact when I first called was told me to wait longer. Needless to say I asked for my money back and learned my lesson to avoid this chain. I caution anyone who is thinking about dealing with this company. read more

Not only are their prices fair, and sometimes unbeatable, but they are the only company that offers extended service contracts/warranties that I ALWAYS take; they are that reliable and good (not the typical added rip off charge offered by others that are usually a bigger hassle than they're worth). Truly remarkable attention to the customer and they expedite service graciously and professionally. I have never been told that I would have to block out a full working day to wait for for a service man when I request an early morning service call. I not only use them for our personal/home appliances, but also my business needs , as well. This review is specifically for Bill (truck #3321) who completely restored a hellish situation with P.C. Richard & Son. We ordered new dishwashers from P.C. Richard and Son to replace our office dishwashers. The first guys that came to install the dishwashers did such a terrible job that caused us more money spent on plumbers and other technicians to come and figure out why our dishwashers were filling up with water and spilling out onto our office kitchen floor. This was an every day occurrence for about a month. We purchased these dishwashers in December and literally last week just got the issued resolved. Also the dishwashers were not properly installed into the wall, so every time you went to open the dishwasher it would fall forward. Not having any knowledge about dishwashers or plumbing, this was extremely frustrating to trust someone you thought knew what they were doing and then have 2 months of trying to figure out why water is constantly leaking onto your kitchen floor. After multiple plumbers and technicians not being able to find an ultimate solution, we came to the realization that the dishwashers probably needed to be reinstalled. We contacted P.C. Richard and Son, told them what happened and they sent out Bill. Bill and his partner could not believe how bad the previous install was. They were able to help us figure out a solution with PC to get a new set of dishwashers and Bill agreed to do the install for us! Talk about a redeeming experience! Bill and his partner were amazing! They were efficient, timely, and made sure they communicated with us on what was going on. Our dishwashers look amazing and they are running excellently! (NO LEAKS!!)
