He works out of his home. He repaired a beloved 30 year old lamp I have used at my piano since I was around age 30, and then he also fixed back up a late 1950s lamp I bought at an estate sale that needed some updating and minor fixing. Both work great! I brought them back home and sent him photos with the shades on them so he could see how they looked in my house. He charged $45 for the one and $65 for the other and I think that was a very fair price. He does the work well and meticulously so don't expect it back in minutes. Quality and expert repairs are not something that are common today, and I'm willing to pay a good price for someone who knows what he is doing. And clearly loves what he does. He will invite you to sit and chat for awhile if you have the time. Take him your business, you won't be sorry!

We received a recommendation to hire Marty Saling to restore our house following a flood. All the…read morehardwood flooring on the first floor had to be removed and replaced, along with the kitchen and bathroom cabinets. The recommendation was well-deserved, as Marty and his team were great to work with, and our house looks better than new. With a project of this size, we had to move out for the duration. Before the work started, we received a project schedule detailing what needed to happen and when. The team consistently beat the schedule, and we were able to move back in 2 weeks early. Our friends, and our original builder, were amazed at the transformation in only 7 weeks. We received advice to take this "opportunity" to make some upgrades we wouldn't have normally considered. They helped us envision and build a truly spa-like master bathroom, and upgrade away all the gripes we had with the original kitchen. We could not be happier with our restoration. And of course, the floors look beautiful.

I should have followed my instincts. It was hard to communicate when texts and emails are not responded to in a timely way. After months of patient waiting I was emailed a plan too small to read that did not adequately reflect what we had discussed at our initial meeting. At this point Covid was not preventing people from presenting their design plans in person. I felt like I just didn't rank very high in importance so I stopped working with them. In 2021 lots of companies took on all the work they could write because everyone was so unsure of the future. They never should have taken my project. It's important to have the right-size company for the project. Otherwise you'll waste your money like I did.

The guys that come and work on your house are actual HR Group employees...not contractors or day laborers. That means they care about their work and want to make you happy. My project manager, Michelle Rowden, was so great to work with and she communicated with me and my insurance company every step of the way. On the plus side, they were very thorough in their work and am happy with the job they did. They came out to fix my dryer outlet which had sparked. My electrician, Dennis, told me to replace my breaker box which I didn't have money for at the time. Well, lo and behold, I get the darn thing replaced when my kitchen catches an electrical fire and shorts out. They were prompt in coming out when they said they would, which I really appreciate. Dennis was very thorough in explaining what needed to be fixed and gave me an estimate that sames comparable to what I'd find out there. He finished the job in the time he has given me. I was very satisfied with the work he did. I just hope I won't have to call them again. No offense to them.

Great guy and excellent service! I've never written a review before but our situation was a mess…read moreand I feel strongly enough to let others know that these were the right guys to help! We have been having issues with the electric in our rental for a few weeks, and the landlord said he would take care of it eventually. However the dryer went out last week, the heat/ac kept going in and out and this morning I woke up to no hot water. That was the last straw so I decided to take care of it myself. I called about 20 other companies listed on yelp and left messages, Dennis was the first to call back. He gave me an estimate over the phone based on his past experiences with what I was describing, and he got here within an hour! He explained (in terms I could actually understand) that 3 of the breakers were burned out and even showed me. He suggested that the whole breaker box be replaced because of it's age and deterioration (but we went for the easy fix for now). But here's the best part, I knew he was a good guy when he fought with our landlord over the phone to do the right thing. He said he knew how landlords can be and that he was not going to leave our place in this condition because it was a potential fire hazard. He worked with us and our landlord and stuck around until it was all taken care of. He was very professional, but also a very nice regular guy. Also, being a woman in a home alone, he was very nonthreatening (he even told me about the Halloween party they were having for his kids tonight). So if you need someone who knows what they're doing and will do a quality job and guarantee the lowest price... Dennis Perry is your guy!
