He even gave a 15 minute reminder call, so that I could stay at work longer (rather than the nebulous "sometime between 9am and 3pm" nonsense). His rates are very competitive and his final invoice matched the proposal. He and his worker completed the job in a top-notch and high-quality fashion. He installed an electric vehicle charger in a high-rise condo building and beautifully surmounted all the plumbing and electrical that lurked in the concrete structure above. He was even kind enough to lend me the hot spot on his cell phone so that I could complete the initialization sequence on the charging unit (my home wifi is out of range in my garage). I bought a couple of electric cars so I needed a charge station. The Nissan Dealership wanted $3000 to do this. He installed it and did a great job at a reasonable price. George only charged me a fraction of what Nissan wanted to charge me. The car charges at the full capacity that it is capable of charging at. Since he did such a great job, I re-hired him to do some garden lights in 2018 for me. I had some problems with the garden lights a couple months later in January 2019 so I called him and he came back to fix it and make it right. Most contractors are gone with the wind after you pay them. Most contractors will change their company name every year to avoid having to honor warranties. George is not most contractors. A++++ Professional! Look no further. This is an old school, hard working, hand shake agreement, man of his word type professional of the rarest order. After reading all the reviews (including the one who gave 4*'s or being "slightly late" - wow ... smh) it was quite evident to me that George is the man! My faith was not displaced. George is kind, patient, knowledgable, diligent and FAIR! I had him come to fix what we expected to be a couple easy issues that turned out to be... not so much. George patiently explained the issue and even took a couple days making sure the job was done correctly. Not only would he NOT accept my money when the 1st job was done day 1 but also came back day 2 with back up to make sure every possible aspect and potential issue had been considered. In addition to that he George, VERY CLEARLY is more concerned about his reputation that the cost. He spent well overtime on both days making sure the jobs were done correctly and even charged me under HALF his original estimate!! This man is a saint!! If I had 1 mechanic, 1 attorney, 1 doctor and 1 wife (I'm not married lol) with his character I'd be a wealthy man indeed. During my home inspection on a home purchase, the inspector reported a slight buzzing noise coming from electrical panel and recommended I that I get the panel checked out. I called George and he was able to come take a look at the panel on Saturday (all other electricians were closed or did not work on Saturdays). He checked out the panel and informed me that the slight buzzing was nothing to worry about and that he could change the breaker and charge me but it was not necessary. George has gone above and beyond my expectations. Initially contacted this company based on yelp reviews and i couldn't be happier. He came for the initial estimate and he was on point with his time line. I was happy with the price and we moved forward with an installation date. I had requested a previous junction box be moved right over my bar area, to include the installation of a new light fixture. The task was done fairly quickly however, we had some problems with the light fixture I provided. We had to reschedule and George was willing to come the day my new fixture would be coming in, which would mean a lot for a customer to have things done and over with right away. Unfortunately, it came late at night but he was able to squeeze me in the very next day. The new fixture also had problems and George sat down and started isolating the potential issues. He figured it out and kept me posted with everything along the way. I was extremely happy that he got everything situated and working. The end result looked nice! This guy is not reliable and trustworthy at all. My swimming pool spa light was broken, he came and promised me to buy a new casket and fixed it within one week, after I texted him several times asking him when he could come and eventually he responded and told me his daughter was sick. I felt sorry about it and asked him to take care of his daughter first. After another week, I followed up with him and He told me head ordered the parts and should be able to come, not only fix the pool lights but also to clean up the unfinished work inside the house by next Friday, June 14th.... Now today is Friday, June 14th, he did not show up, no pre-advice whatsoever. I called him and texted him, no response... After I patiently waiting for him more than THREE weeks, I decided not to let him come and will never use his again. Home insurance company set up the contact with this company. On a Monday, I scheduled an appointment for the upcoming Friday, between 9-11am. Friday at 11:30am, no show. Called to find out when they would arrive, no answer. By 1:15pm, I contacted the insurance company to find a new company to work with. Only then did George F Contracting call, at approximately 1:30pm. Apparently, there was a scheduling error, but they said they could be at my house in about 30min. No problem... until they failed to show up again. Called them at 3pm, no answer. So I'm done, there are plenty of other companies that would like to earn some coin. I was looking for a regular electrical contractor for other work (lighting trees, lamppost modifications). George F Contracting has narrowed down my search by one. read more
