We are so happy with the fence that Magnolia put up for us. To start off we weren't even going to…read moreget a quote from them. We had another local fence company come out and give us a quote on a wood fence we wanted. The price was reasonable, they had good reviews, and the pictures we saw of their work looked good. I had some follow up questions after they delivered the quote and I never heard back from them. A week later we call Magnolia and they had someone come and talk to us the next day. We received the quote a day later and at that time I also looked at their Facebook or maybe their website and saw a fence they built that we really liked. I email them and i get a response within the same day. We of course still have a lot of questions so Robert, the owner, comes out to the house to talk to us. He genuinely seems excited to be putting up the fence we want. He was able to fit us in during the busy holiday season and the fence was up about a week later. His guys were great also. Nice, friendly, professional. They kept us informed, if there was a decision to make they kept us in the loop. We love the way it all turned out. Also, the quote they originally gave us for the wood fence was lower than the other fence company. As much as we wanted to save money on the wood fence we just couldn't pass up the iron fence that we saw. The photos don't do it justice.

We hired EJ's (Eugene James) Lawn & Remodel for a landscaping and fountain project and had mixed…read morefeelings about the experience. We do like the overall look of the landscaping, and I think EJ wanted the project to turn out well, but there were several issues that made the process frustrating. We were told the project would take 5-7 business days, but it ended up taking over a month. Communication also became difficult toward the end. The fountain was the biggest issue. It wasn't working properly when the project was considered finished, and the electrical cable was left exposed instead of buried. After we brought up concerns and shared suggestions on how to fix it, communication completely stopped. We were basically ghosted with multiple issues still unresolved. We also learned during the project that this was EJ's first fountain build, which explained a lot. In the end, we rebuilt the rock structure ourselves, reduced it to one fountain feature, got it working correctly, and buried the cable ourselves. There were also a few other problems: Some of the backyard plants already appear to be struggling in the heat. We were told both front-yard trees were dead, but one later started blooming after the other had already been removed at our expense. Our irrigation system was damaged during the landscaping work and had to be repaired afterward. Trash was thrown over our back fence during cleanup, which we had to clean up ourselves. Overall, the landscaping looks nice, but the delays, communication issues, and lack of follow-through left us very disappointed.

No grading to speak of. No measurements. No calculations on flow, drop, degrees. They left maybe a 1/2 inch of foundation showing and the new grass level with the concrete patio. And essentially created a major drainage situation that has resulted in water in my home on multiple sides of the property. THE WORST PART - when I contacted Carlos (owner??) about this, his only response was to charge me to fix it. $#&?! I normally don't post bad reviews, but I don't want this to happen to anyone else.

The goal was to trim it to allow light in for the grass as well as a garden, and to trim some branches over the roof. They also removed some trees on the fence line that were rough looking. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for expertise, excellence, and incredible customer service.
