Extremely unprofessional. I called to request information about pool heater repair. The person answering the call was hard to understand, hasty and impatient, and didn't even answer the phone with a proper hello. I requested information about the heater repair and he said he would call me back. He did, and I started to tell him that we did not want to pay $95 dollars to assess the issue as we weren't sure if it was something we even wanted or could fix. Before even finishing my sentence I was hung up on! I wanted to discuss the details but he just simply hung up on me in the middle of a sentence and did not call back. I can't tell you enough about Jorge's prompt and professional service in rescuing our green and funky pool. There was a leak prior that took some time to repair. In the meantime, our pool turned to a swamp. On short notice, when our original pool cleaner abruptly cancelled, Jorge was out quickly. After a review and trial vacuuming, he determined we needed an acid wash. He had the pool drained in 24 hours and his crew on site the next day to perform the work. We had it re-filled in another 24 hours and he stopped by to supervise powering our pump back on and starter chemical set up. My wife and I were pleasantly surprised by the complete turn around done so quick. In addition, he gave us very reasonable suggestions to improve our system. We're putting it on the calendar! We called Jorge and asked him to come check out our pool/spa. The spa's water level has been going down a few inches when the pool is turned off. He did come out and said he knew what to do and quoted us a price and said he would be back the next day between 8 and 10 am with the needed parts. The following day Jorge called to say he would be over at 3 pm, not 8 to 10 as he promised. I said ok but please no later as I had a meeting at 4 pm. Well 3 came and went then it was 4 and then 4:30. We tried to call him several times but he did not answer his phone. When he finally arrived close to 5 he was rude and got into it with us. Needless to say we told him not to do the job and he started to storm off, leaving the parts he removed the day before still unassembled! When asked to put things as he found them he begrudgingly did. So between his attitude and inability to show up on time I would not recommend Excellent Pool Service. Also, he was wrong about the diagnosis as well, it was an entirely different problem. read more

Thank you fellow Yelpers for another great recommendation! My spa light was not working and my pool maintenance guy recommended a different company who wanted to charge me $4,000 for a new light system for my pool and spa. I told him I just needed the light bulb replaced and he kept saying my system was obsolete and the light bulb was no longer available. I decided to get 3 bids for the spa light. At this point, water was building up behind the light bulb cover (probably after it was opened by the other company). Jorge from Excellent Pool Service was the first to respond quickly and was able to check out my spa light to see if it was just the light bulb or the whole lighting system. At this point, I figured I would have to pay for a new lighting system since now water was behind the cover. Jorge knew I would be willing to pay for a new light system, but he was honest and said, no-it's just the light bulb and I can replace and fix the spa light on Monday. Jorge just finished fixing the spa light and it's now working!! I am so happy and my hubby is happy he doesn't have to pay for a whole new light system! Needless to say, I cancelled the other 2 bids for the job since Jorge fixed the light efficiently and quickly. No wonder Jorge has 5 star reviews! He is courteous, quick and knows his stuff! HIGHLY RECOMMENDED. Excellent is EXCELLENT! this past week's storm(Monday) blew a lot of pine needles and debris into the pool's plumbing, or so I thought. Saw my jacuzzi turning green and pressure at the filter was low at 4psi. It's time to call a professional(Saturday). Did my due diligence by calling friends for recommendations, inquiring through friends of friends and of course Yelp. Went through a list of about 15 businesses. Called and texted each one. Left messages and waited. Got a few "sorry, we don't service the East side" and "I got an opening for Wednesday", most were just closed because it was Saturday. so that wasn't gonna cut it because by then in the peak of summer I didn't want a swamp in my backyard. Called Excellent and Jorge got back to me pretty quickly. I explained my circumstance and he said he was booked but will try to stop by in a couple hours. I said all that to say this... Jorge showed up(Saturday evening) and being friendly, professional and funny, he quickly diagnosed my situation and instead of blowing out the lines, he gave his professional recommendation. It wasn't what I was expecting because I wasn't looking to spend that kind of money, but what he told me made sense. I could spend little money now but find out its the wrong solution and spend more money later. I agreed to his professional recommendation and I couldn't be happier. He came back the next day(Sunday), did his thing and my pool is nice and clear. He followed up with me today to make sure everything is going well.
