Title:Avoid this dealership unless you're working directly with Kaelynn I purchased a 2018 Cadillac XTS from Excellent Choice Auto on June 3rd. While Kaelynn was absolutely wonderful to work with, the rest of this experience was a complete mess. Kaelynn was the reason I chose to buy. She was upfront, respectful, and truly gave me confidence in the vehicle. She even worked out a solid deal for me. I trusted her so much that I sent the down payment before ever seeing the car in person. She is a preacher's daughter, and her integrity and professionalism reflect that. If this review were about her alone, I'd give 5 stars across the board. When I arrived to pick up the car, Kaelynn was off, and I was referred to a salesman named Sam. At first, he seemed cool. He picked me up in the Cadillac, and the car looked great -- but I now realize he never offered me a test drive. I was told the car went through a multipoint inspection and that I'd be provided with the paperwork. I did get a Carfax report, but no inspection documents were ever given. I waited a long time at the dealership while they worked on the paperwork. Sam showed me other cars -- probably to buy time -- but never once did a walkaround of the actual vehicle I was buying. I foolishly trusted his word. After I signed everything and took ownership, I went outside, opened the door, and saw what I thought was a spill on the driver's side lower door panel. I asked Sam for a cloth and spray, and when I looked closer, I realized it was chew marks -- likely from an animal. I immediately contacted Sam and asked if I could swap the car for the Audi I had also been interested in (priced similarly). His response? "That vehicle is yours now. We can take it in as a trade on the Audi, but we can't swap them. You signed the contract." So much for customer service. The moment the deal was done, he made it clear I was on my own. Fast forward just 10 days to June 13. The car had less than 500 miles driven since purchase, and it broke down. After filling up with gas, the gauge didn't reflect a full tank. Then the engine began sputtering. Stabilitrak and check engine lights came on. My speedometer stopped working entirely. I had the car scanned at AutoZone and it came back with several codes: U0073 - Control Module Communication Bus A Off U0100 - Lost Communication With Engine Control Module P0700 - Transmission Control System Error U0101 - Lost Communication With Transmission Control Module P0442 - Small EVAP leak And more This isn't wear and tear. This is major electrical and transmission communication failure -- days after I bought it. And I barely drove the car (just 400+ miles). I texted Sam and called him -- he never responded. Eventually, he started rejecting my calls entirely. Thankfully, Kaelynn stepped up again. She followed up with the mechanic, reassured me, and even apologized for referring Sam to me. She showed more professionalism in one call than he has this entire time. Now I'm stuck with a car that might not be safe to drive. The warranty they included forces me to pay for a tow back to the dealership (68 miles), and my insurance only covers 15 miles. That means I'd have to pay about $5-8 per mile out of pocket -- plus a $300 deductible -- just to get them to look at the car. I'm now exploring whether I qualify for the Carfax Buyback Guarantee, because this situation is completely unacceptable. This car clearly had issues before I bought it, and I was not told the truth. Kaelynn: 5 stars. Sam and the dealership's behavior after the sale: 0 stars. If you're buying from Excellent Choice Auto -- work only with Kaelynn. If she's not available, I suggest you look elsewhere. read more

My husband and I got into a very wrong place (small car sales) that Monday Memorial day thinking we'd find a good sales even we don't have the best of credit or need to work on. We got a nice car but no one won't extend warranty because car got problems. We got into a bad sleepless, restless night. The following day I went to see and check out Excellent Choice. I met one of the Salesman and gave them my contract and ask if there's something can be done with my case. Shawn, the owner who was so pleasant and with a nice smile met with me and discuss my options and promised he will help us. He got us in a car actually, for my young daughter to drive. He got us a Toyota Corolla with quite high mileage, we know used Car can't expect much, but with Shawn helping out even the brakes and now the door locks it is making everything easier for us. We 've been in US for over 30 years and the credits could be up to the best and times down or bad. It's sometimes a cycle this time, economy to be blame too, but wherever you will buy a car either in big well known dealerships or the small lots there's no win win situation, there's always something. With Excellent Choice, I think they are really good the way they dealt with me and my husband. I believe we just knock in their hearts and be honest to them.. besides,this is how they make a living. I wish I could give them zero stars after they screwed us over. We bought a Ford Expedition 2 years ago in the winter. A month later we realized the whole AC system was out of it and it was going to cost us 2000 thousand to fix it. Went back to the dealer and was told sorry for your luck. We have had nothing but issues ever since with time chains going bad, and bad batteries, and random stalling at lights if it idled for to long. Finally had enough and went to trade it in today to find out we still owed double what it was worth. The dealer informed us next to go would probably be the engine and tranny since it was at 120000 miles. The dealer didn't even know how we got our loan to begin with. I live in Oregon and found the perfect car, a 2017 grabber blue Mustang Gt, California Special at their dealership. When I first reached out, I asked if they would deliver to at least Portland, OR. They said they do deliver and it's no problem. I wanted to be sure before I went any further. Filled out an application and everything was a go. Didnt even fuss or negotiate them down. They were delivering and saving me a day so I didnt feel the need to negotiate and the price was fine. This was all late on a saturday night. So sunday when they opened up, albie texts and says someone at other dealership wants that car. No problem I was planning on buying it then. Transferred me to financing and they've added $800+ for gap insurance which I didnt request. (My insurance already offers it.) They were annoyed they had to print new docs... but let's move on. Love the car. Before i transferred funds i asked when would they be delivering it and they knew nothing about it. They put me on hold for a few minutes but had that feeling and hung up. I know this could have been avoided if i lived closer and was able to stop in. I dont blame them but just blame the old outdated script that dealerships have ran for years and years. I'm not a negotiator, i find a good price and good people and then buy. I dont like the runaround and I'm glad some dealers are getting away from the outdated back and forth.... adding stuff you didnt ask for or not doing what they said they would. I ended up going with a local dealer and bought my 2nd choice. The California Special is still up for sale on their site...someone needs to buy it cause its beautiful. read more

My experience with this dealership has been full of issues after issues. This dealership is very unprofessional. They'll say anything to get you to buy a vehicle. They have no idea what they're doing when it comes to financing. They will let you take a car and then ask you to come back to sign paperwork that was missed only to find out that they want to change the contract. DO NOT, I REPEAT, DO NOT TRUST THIS PLACE! They rush to get people to sign contracts to buy worthless cars. They charge WAY above bluebook prices. If you run into issues with the car even after having it for less than 48 hours, all they say is "oh, sorry man" They say they have all the cars inspected, but do not provide a report, warning sign! They sneak in extra costs, take advantage of people. I am 9 months pregnant and was not feeling well, so they were shoving papers in our face to hurry up and sign. They even missed spelled my husband's name on every document. They are an un-trustworthy company and we are hoping to find some way to get out of this crappy car deal. I would rather be a 1 car family then buy from them. They do not even deserve a 1 star. Please let this be a warning to anyone considering buying from here. read more

Unfortunately for us, we are too trusting of people and got our brain manipulated by the numbers game that dealerships play! Made us believe that our trade in wasn't worth much, but now I see it listed on the site for 3 TIMES the amount they gave us! I hope their stuck with it forever and don't make a penny off it! I was pushed into purchasing a vehicle after saying I was only looking. Been driving the vehicle for several months now and since the day I got it I regretted purchasing it. Found out that my vehicle has frame damage and the carfax they provided me nearly a month after purchase said it has been in no accidents. Before purchase I asked of they could replace/fix a few things. They said no problem and they put a "work order" in. I kept in contact with them and found out after purchase no work order was put in. Meaning on top of the frame damage they are making me deal with I have a whole lot of front end repairs and replacements coming out of my pocket that I can't afford with my baby on the way. Thanks excellent choice for screwing up the start of my life. Also, they ran my credit way more than they told me they would and drop my credit from a fair credit to poor credit. EDIT: They were suppose to call me nearly 2 weeks ago and I haven't received any call from them. Called them several times and the person I am suppose to talk to is never around. EDIT 12/24/15: I constantly call then and the person I am suppose to speak with is always not there or not available. I keep leaving my name and number for them to reply to and never get called back. I am also having to replace my alternator because it's going out. Still working on saving some money for the plastic wheel welds they promised to replace. Hopefully going to get my washer fluid crack sealed when I purchase the stuff for it. Already fix my auxiliary issue by re soldering it. Very very displeased. Terrible customer service. read more

I did come across some issues with my used car. I did call the dealership back and spoke to Shawn regarding the issue, he said dont worry about this, we got your back, they took my car back in addressed all the issues I was having at no cost me, called me personally after 3 days to see how thing were going, and by the way everything was fixed. Shawn also asked me to check in a few weeks to let him know how it's going, I have never worked with a dealership that after once you bought a car, it was not there problem. I'd been thinking about a new car for over a year. Wasn't pressed for time, definitely had a budget plan I'd intended to follow, and know a lot about cars, sales tactics, rates and pricing, so I wasn't going to sweat it when the salesmen came grinning at me (yes, I hate dealerships). I wasn't sure, though, where I'd buy a car as I pretty much live in three states. THAT, my friends, gets complicated when it comes to insurance and licensing. Anyway, I priced cars in Missouri, Arizona, and here in Taxington State. Turned out the best prices were right here, by as much as $2,500 difference. Surprised me. My family has had excellent experience over the years with Hyundais; they're solid, really well-built, cheap to run, will run forever, and they always look more expensive than they are, right? That's why Hyundai can get away with offering their monster warranty, I guess. I went to the Johnson dealership in Everett. God looks out for idiots; I met up with Jackie Walton. She didn't give me the small-print runaround, so I was able to chill and get to the business of buying a car for my benefit, not the dealer's. Keep your eyes on the prize, baby. No BS from me - there was no BS from her, every last question was answered, and she didn't pull that I-gotta-go-ask-the-manager stunt when we were working out the terms. Knows her stuff cold. I drove off the lot with EXACTLY the car I wanted, a new Elantra with all kinds of goodies standard (hit the right button and Philadelphia goes up in flames, right?), the killer Hyundai warranty, for $12,475, plus the bribe to Jay Inslee, who will never be president. This review is for my first interaction with this company :) I have been through the ringer when it comes to me trying to purchase a car with the first problem being my credit is pretty much non-existent/a few collections and second being I'm a first time buyer. I've pretty much been told "we can get you into a new car, however, you're going to need an extravagent down payment and an even crazier monthly payment..." No one ever takes time to explain why or break things down. Well, I was at my wit's end yesterday and decided to reach out to Excellent Choice Auto Sales via their website. Immediately, I was called by Ross who asked a few questions about what I was looking for and about my situation. He invited me down to the lot to see what my options were and how he could help. On the phone he was really friendly and eager to help. I took a cab down to the lot and was greeted by Ross and another associate, with a handshake and a genuine smile. It was cold outside so they invited me in to their toasty and cozy office. Again, Ross asked/clairfied what I was trying to do car wise and what my experiences have been about. Never once did he give off a pushy or an eyeroll when I told him of my bad credit history. He said point blank that he's going to run a few checks and see what he can do... not what he CAN'T do. This put me at ease that he really wanted help. When he came back, he basically told, no take that back, showed me how the lenders come up with the decisions they come up with and why it's been so hard for me get a decent loan. He showed me the few collections that were hindering me and that I pretty much don't have a credit score, based on lending scores. He explained it in ways I understood and was comfortable with. But the awesomeness didn't end there. He told me how I can start to rebuild my credit and eventually get a car I wanted. He found me a car with low miles and a great price. He told me that I had a few days before I had to make a decision, which was awesome because he didn't pressure me into saying yes or no right on the spot. He knew it was a big decision and I appreciate him not pressuring me. After talking about it a few minutes, he offered me a ride home and a ride back to the dealership should I choose to wanna look at the car he was telling me about after it was back from being inspected and detailed. He was really nice and genuinely wanted me as a part of their family. What really stuck with me is that he said that most of their clientele are repeat customers. That says a lot to me. I'm not sure what happened with the other reviewers that gave negative remarks, but it sure doesn't sound like the same business that I went to. I look forward to working with them again! read more

A friend and I were car shopping this last week for a car, we decided to stop here based on the reviews from online. We told the salesman our price range, he then placed us in a car that is over our budget but didn't tell us that till we were already driving it. We fell in love with the car, the salesman then insisted to let him take care of us even after we said we couldn't afford it. We went in and decided let's see what we can do. Sat down at the desk, asked to see our ID and that is when we discovered that we left it at the last dealership. We had to go get our ID, when we were getting the ID we started talking about how between the price and mileage of the car it wasn't really what we were looking for. We felt bad so we decided to call the salesmen and apologize but we decided to go another route. However when we called them our salesman was busy so we had to leave a message with another guy and at the end the other salesmen accused us of lying and saying that we used that as an excuse to leave the dealership and how they knew we weren't coming back. We were extremely off put by it because we were in our way back to them and then decided to keep looking just in case. I'm still upset at this interaction, and have been telling all my friends and family about it. No one deserves that type of service, they definitely need to work on their people skills! In fact I downloaded Yelp and created an account because of this interaction, we are still shocked at the rudeness that came from this dealership! read more

WARNING DONT GO HERE !!! Bought a truck and at first these guys acted like they would fix what was needed and make sure the truck was working.. THEN when I drove it off the lot it started hissing. I pulled over and popped the hood.. The Intake was hanging off the engine. How did their mechanic miss that?? Also - the muffler (which was contracted that they repair prior to purchase) wasnt welded back on properly. Two days later the transmission and Torque Converter both went out.. I tried to call repeatedly and ask them to help me.. They keep saying the manager isnt in and taking messages.. I still haven't gotten a call back a week and a half later... 10k down the drain on a truck I cant even drive ! read more

I went down yesterday just to start my journey at looking for a new car. When my grandma and I first pulled in we were greeted by Tyler. He immediately welcomed us and greeted us. He asked about what type of car we were looking for and right off the top if his head he knew which one to show us. He was very easy going and knew how to make us happy and make car shopping easy for us. He pulled out a 2015 ford escape and we immediately fell in love with it. He and Alberto help us work the numbers. And what turned out to be just a day of window shopping turned out to buying a new car which was not planned. Absolute rubbish. I called in to line up a view/test drive with Albert- he had two hours notice to get the car ready but it wasn't even on the lot when I got there. Rick assured me he could get the car from their 'other lot' in 5 minutes. 40 minutes later with absolutely no information I asked for other staff to contact rick and find out what was up. When challenged, the best they could come up with was 'someone took the vehicle for a test then left with the keys'. Even if true, why did it take forever and they didn't bother to call to let me know?. Entire operation is the worst example of shady 2nd hand dealership. read more
