Plumber arrived on time, but clearly wasn't qualified to provide an estimate (he had to first call his office!) for a standard, common leaky bathroom faucet repair. After finally providing a very general estimate he told me he couldn't fulfill the repair at that time because I (me) would need to first order the parts! I asked him why he bothered to come out to my home if he wasn't prepared to fix the very problem I requested help with? A blank look from him and a feeling of surprised disappointment on my part (especially considering all the good reviews this provider has previously received) was all I got out of my experience. read more

I had 2 plumbers from Excel come out: The first plumber was not friendly and did not bother to introduce himself. I introduced myself and explained what the plumbing issue was and what I had done in attempt to resolve the issue myself. After the plumber gave me an estimate and blamed me for the plumbing issue I said "no thanks" to the offer of him staying to work on it. I called Excel to let them know I was unhappy with the plumber that was sent out and they were very very apologetic and set up another appointment. The second plumber was much more friendly. Unfortunately he was not able to resolve the plumbing issue as it was larger than just rodding the line (which he made several strong attempts to do) but he did take the time to explain to me what was going on and provided a quote before leaving. Not the best cleanup. I had to wipe down the cabinet and throw out items I had in the drawers as they were covered in bits of gunk from the rodding. read more

What a find!!! Excel came into my shop and performed a 5 STAR all around service. They were knowledgable, fast and reliable. In top of it all they were were price competitive. I recommend them 100% for plumbing. Keep up the great work guys!!! Thank you very much!!! read more

I needed a report from a certified plumber to get my house under contract. Excel had someone at my house within 2 hours. He inspected what the prospective buyer wanted inspected and they had a written report back to me about 4 hours after I first called them. Before he started, the plumber, John, asked if I understood that there would be a charge for the service even though there was nothing to fix. And they were half the price of the other company I had contacted (I lucked out since that company couldn't get to us for 24 Hours) All I can say is WOW!!! These guys are amazing. Is it too corny to say that Excel Plumbing walks on water? read more

Excellent service. Their technician Yuri is a genius. We had a plumbing issue that two other plumbers couldn't figure it out, but Yuri figured it out in 10 minutes. Great service, great price, and always prompt!! Would highly recommend Excel Plumbing to everyone! read more

Yury from Excel came out today to replace my garbage disposal and fix my faucet. Before assuming it needed to be replaced, he tried to fix it. He went back to the shop, got all the materials and new garbage disposal, and returned quickly. He did an excellent, professional job. He was nice, he cleaned up everything afterwards, and told me if I needed additional service that I should watch for the coupons - pay $25 for $50 in service. The amazing part was the price was less than half of another quote I got earlier in the day. I will definitely use Excel the next time I have a plumbing issue. read more

We had called Excel in for what appeared to be a simple laundry tub faucet assembly replacement. Then while checking connections, the serviceman, David, noticed extremely advanced electrolysis at an ancient connection in the furnace room that also was leaking and would have burst had it gone on too much longer. So we ended up with a much bigger project, including replacement of corroded pipes plus a new laundry tub. But a crisis was averted. Throughout, David was helpful and informative, a true professional. A big job at a reasonable price. read more

First time I have ever called a plumber to my house, and the experience was great!!! I called Excel plumbing at 9:00 AM due to a clogged sink. The water was not going down after I washed dishes. I tried using a plunger, it did not work and the smell became unbearable. When I called, the rep I spoke with was very knowledgeable and nice. I had someone come out to my house at Noon 3 hours later. The plumber identified the problem right away and got to work. He set up tarps and made sure that everything stayed very clean and dry. He finished the work, made sure that everything was in working order and cleaned up after himself. The one thing I was worried about was getting over charged with "extras" like I have heard from others when calling a plumber. That was not the case here. When I called they told me the charges and what to expect. This was a great experience, I would recommend Excel Plumbing to anyone. *****5 STARS!!!!!! read more

Excellent experience. I submitted a request for an estimate and received a call making an appointment for the same day. Excel called back asking if the tech could come over earlier which was just fine. A photo of the tech was sent to be prior to his arrival. Once on site I got the quote for a replacement toilet and the work was completed within a couple hours at a very reasonable price. The tech, Luke, was very polite, clean and neat. I highly recommend Excel for their customer service, concern for the safety of the consumer and their tech, and for their attention to detail. Great job! read more

Excel Plumbing responds quickly and is quick to address all plumbing issues. I am a landlord, and they work directly with tenants to schedule at their convenience. I have used them for several jobs and their pricing has been better or at least comparable to market rates. My family moved into BG over a year ago and as any new homeowner would have, had to call the plumber. The first time i had no idea who to call so i checked the internet. When i saw that Excel was nearby and that they offered a discount for Veterans i got them on the phone immediately. I called at 9am and the person on the phone let me know that although the staff was fully scheduled they would send someone out that day. By noon i got the call that Carlos was already enroute and his ETA was twenty minutes out. Carlos came by with shoe covers and i explained the issue. After some diagnostics he let me know my options. He and i spoke about what would be the best way to handle the situation and we agreed on a plan that was priced right. Then he got to work. Carlos got the job done and answered all of the questions i had about the job. Great job Carlos and Excel thanks for the prompt service. read more

This was the first time I used this company for plumbing services. Maureen was very fast replying to my request for a estimate and with follow up emails. I was informed when the tech, Egor, was on his way. After Egor arrived, he gathered his tools and had my new kitchen faucet installed quickly. He was very professional and cleaned everything up after. I would recommend this plumbing company to anyone that wants a job done well. Thank you read more

I worked with Vlad from Excel Plumbing for a period of about a month to have a custom install electric pressure washer for washing cars and home maintenance. I can not say enough good things about Vlad and Excel. First, Vlad always got right back to me via email when I had a question. He was knowledgeable and friendly and was very patient with my odd custom job. Second, the plumbers that came to my house were excellent. They wore booties on their feet when they had to go inside and they left the area they were working in clean and tidy. They were also very friendly and helpful. Finally, the work was done right the first time. I would highly recommend Excel Plumbing and Vlad who is the construction projects manager for your home plumbing project. read more

Have used Excel multiple times, especially during the last big snow storm. The guys were very professional and very knowledgeable. I was afraid that, as it happens in situations like these, the folks would do the critical time-sensitive work first and bill me an unreasonable amount later. It was not the case here. I was quoted the work upfront and had time to decide. When they finished there were no surprises and all was done as expected. Impressive. read more

These guys did a great job. They fit me in the same day and were at my house within 3 hours of my initial call. Did a great and thorough job of diagnosing and showing me the problem and completed the job in less than 45 minutes, which was the amount of time they told me it would take to complete. The motto on the web site: "Quality work at affordable price" suits them well. I would definitely use Excel Plumbing again. read more

Would give zero stars if I could. It should be of no surprise that Excel's fix of our irrigation system that they had damaged in excavation was not fully fixed. There was still a leak. In lieu of dealing with more incompetence we hired another company to correct the issue. We sent that invoice to Excel, not to ask for reimbursement but to let them know of their poor workmanship. To our surprise Excel offered to refund us. Of course we agreed but then they threw in the caveat of only issuing said refund if we pull down our original Yelp review. So shady. Check out their BBB too, 2 complaints (these are different than reviews) in the last 6 months and mine will make a 3rd - makes you wonder where they are headed. There are many respectable and competent plumbers out there - Excel is certainly not one of them. read more

Excel Plumbing were quick to arrive. Gave me a fair price and did everything per estimate. I would highly recommend this company.

I cannot begin to tell you how wonderful Excel Plumbing, and their plumber (Yuri) are! I asked for a quote last night, or rather around one in the morning, and got a quote almost immediately. After a brief phone call today and appointment was made for a plumber to arrive between 2:00 pm and 4:00 pm. At a couple of minutes past two the doorbell rang. Yuri came up the stairs, introduced himself with great courtesy and friendliness and got to work immediately. Within half an hour the work was finished to perfection. The agreed on price was more than reasonable, and an electronic receipt was sent on the spot to my Email address. What a company! And what a great plumber! read more

We were new in town, and did not have a plumber. Excel responded quickly at night to our emergency: a failed sump pump with water about to come into a finished basement. They arrived with a replacement in time to avoid damage. Came back the next morning to snake out the lines that had been the source of the water. They were life savers, and we are now customers for life. read more

Very Pleased With The Speedy, Quality, Neatness and Professionalism of Service from Excel Plumbing, Wheeling, Illinois. I called "Judy" at Excel Plumbing in Wheeling, Illinois around 9:00am on a Monday, discussed a plumbing problem and she scheduled a repair person to arrive between 1:00pm and 3:00pm on the same day. At 1:10pm Judy called and said the repair person would be there in fifteen to twenty minutes...and he was. George Rivera listened to the plumbing issues: Leak in the basement washtub area and drain blockage in the kitchen sink/garbage disposal/dishwasher. Quickly diagnosed the basement problem which involves a simple faucet replacement which I can do. The drain blockage was cleared after a couple attempts...he worked hard and yet kept everything neat and clean. George had all the rodding out tools, flashlight to check out leaks, paper towels, drop cloth, garbage bags and was a pleasure to know. The repair comes with a 31 day guarantee as well. Highly recommend Excel Plumbing, Wheeling, IL. Hey, and if you get George Rivera, even better. read more

Very helpful, quick, and, efficient!!! I had an emergency situation, my basement was flooding and a very bad smell was coming out of there. I have two small children, so the issue needed to be taken care of right away. I called a local plumber and they came out, gave me a price but said that they can't start the job right away because they don't have enough resources at the moment, then I found Excel Plumbing on-line. Their plumber came out right away, found the source of the problem and called his excavation crew and repaired our main sewer pipe outside of the house by the foundation. The job was completed in the same day and pricing was affordable. I would recommend this company for their professionalism and fast service. read more

Our sump went out and I called Excel this morning.. Technician was helpful, and quick! Happy with the work and service!

This company charged us for doing nothing. They said they would check out our plumbing situation and then let us know how to proceed but they also said they wouldn't charge unless they were able to do our job. That was not the case. They charged us for telling us they couldn't help us. FREE ESTIMATES are not FREE. And, to make matters worse, the service person was extremely rude and condescending. read more

I highly recommend Dmitry and his team at Excel Plumbing. Dmitry came to my house to provide a 2nd opinion on our sump pump system. Unfortunately, rocks got stuck in our sump pump and our basement flooded. When the incident happened, we had a different plumbing company come to our house who fixed the problem, but they couldn't diagnosis why it happened. After multiple phone calls and discussions with the first plumbing company, they provided me with 3 estimates, each with a very high price tag, but none of the solves seemed to get to the bottom of the problem. Dmitry was recommended to me so I brought him in to see if he could figure out what happened. In 15 minutes, he diagnosed what had happened, ordered the materials, and saved me a ton of hassle and expense. He was logical, efficient, and honest. read more
