This business runs like a family with a caring couple running the biz: they look out for our business for better units to pull our truck into, they paint and dial their units before a new customer takes over, and they'll reach out if I left something out near my unit. This storage unit is great for businesses and it's common to see regular workers there tending to each of their products daily. We'd never look anywhere else!

Thank you Loyal Customer of over 7 yrs! For Sonya and Erik…read more When is is okay for managers to harass and threaten customers? Sonya was out if CONTROL w/her POWERTRIP. Said my car was "blocking the way." Confirmed w/customers car was "not" in the way. I ask her to " leave me alone" and I would comply with her request once finished. Sonya responds " I don't have to." (Begins mentioning a complaint I made about other customers involving them moving their car). Sonya THREATENED to "EVICT" me w/ " 2 days to get my stuff out." Erik then confronts me to tell me "to leave, this is PRIVATE PROPERTY." Just paid them $160 day before. Thank you Sonya and Erik for your excellent customer service! Especially during this difficult time with COVID! The lack of respect and boundaries from Sonya is deplorable!! She has never been friendly, nor her lovely husband. They need to reevaluate themselves before they ATTACK their customers.

Googled the closest one to our house in Carmel Valley/del Mar and this place came up. Dropped them off and quickly selected a fabric that was on sale. Told them how important it was to have them within a month. They understood the assignment and came through with perfection and amazing craftsmanship. Will definitely use them again for our house furniture too. From order date to pickup was just under 3 weeks! Highly recommend. I worked with Mary who was the helpful employee that answered my random phone call and made everything happen. Thanks! Super happy with the result.

Unfortunately, the overall experience with We Are Fabrics was disappointing because of the timeline and communication. When I first went in to select my fabric, I explained that I was hoping to have the project completed as quickly as possible. Since it was a custom job requiring the upholsterers to come to my home for measurements, I specifically asked about scheduling. I was told the project would probably take about six weeks. Instead, it took approximately 12 weeks from the time I placed my order and paid my deposit until I received my cushions. As the weeks went by, I had to call several times for updates. That's when I was told the upholsterers were extremely busy and backed up. I completely understand that delays happen, but I wish that had been communicated when I first started the project. Had I known the upholstery department was already booked out, I would have had realistic expectations and been much less frustrated by the delays. If you're considering We Are Fabrics, I think you can expect excellent craftsmanship. Just be sure to ask for a realistic timeline before starting your project.

The prices can be a bit steep, but that's expected when ordering customized items. Craig was very helpful and full of great suggestions when I was overwhelmed by the amount of options. A few plastic cases I ordered broke in their boxes and he immediately offered to credit my account for the damaged goods. My favorite part of every order was visiting Casa Del Mar's showroom.
