I'm so happy I stumbled upon Evolvink and met Morgan! I am new to the area and I was looking for a piercing studio that was not intimidating. Evolvink was well lit, clean and modern... without the Harley biker feel some tattoo parlors have. I was looking to re-pierce my cartilage because my last one pierced by someone else and was oddly placed and did not heal well so I let it close. After mustering enough courage to get it done again, I decided to go to Morgan after reading her glowing reviews. And she did not let me down! Morgan spent a good amount of time during my consult listening to my concerns and making sure I was happy with the new placement. I am also glad she checked to make sure piercing location did not have any major veins running though. The piercing was painless and an added bonus was that there was no sales pressure to buy their products or jewelry. In fact, she'll email you jewelry suggestions if you're looking for something specific. You can bring in your own jewelry for her to swap or pierce with as long as she deems it suitable and safe. Most studios will not allow this, so it was much appreciated that they didn't try to make a few extra bucks off me from products. I went back after 5 weeks to have my cartilage downsized since it was healing up nicely. I didn't feel a thing! My last downsize at a different studio was quite painful so when Morgan was working on me, I was bracing for pain that never came (thank goodness!!) And since I was there already I decided to add a third lobe. If you've read my review for another piercing studio, you'll know I had such a fiasco with my third lobe the last time I pierced it. I am no stranger to tattoos. I have a strong connection to the pacific ocean, dived Monterey and the north coast of California a lot, and my mom used to rescue sea lions. As such, I got a tattoo of a sea lion above my right breast. I went through the portfolios and noticed that Kevin's animal work was fantastic. I applied for a spot with him, sent him some pictures, and WOW. The work took about six hours. The work is... simply incredible. You can actually see the reflection of the water off the fur of the diving sea lion. Everyone who has seen it has been blown away. The work is expensive, but you get exactly what you pay for, and any extensive tattoo work I get in the future will be done with them, and likely with Kevin. I went on Saturday to get my nose pierced at Evolvink. The girls at the front desk were lovely, and paperwork was easy to fill out. Morgan was my piercer, and from the first moment we spoke, I was so comfortable with her. We were laughing and joking together, and she walked me through the whole process flawlessly (including letting me know the stud was titanium, which is a huge plus)! Initially, I was disappointed with this business as they allowed me to get a conch ring. The piercing suffered a lot of abuse from the ring, and I felt a bit misled that they allowed me to get a ring instead of a stud. Being a person with many tattoos I definitely would not recommend this place.... I've been there twice with two different artists and the costumer service was terrible. With my last experience i worked with Jenna and I for certain will never be returning. She had a terrible attitude the entire time. I arrived to my appointment on time and she came to get me 40 minutes later. She even tried to explain she needed to add more time and it would change the price of the tattoo, when she was the one who retrieved me late. After asking for a few changes with the sketch her attitude got even worse. Against my better judgement I allowed her to tattoo me. Jenna's line work was not consistent and had blow outs. I cannot express how much I love Evolvink Studios. I've been here several times before and during covid, and I've never seen a more professional and clean place that properly follows CDC protocols and makes their customers feel safe. Dennis, the man who works at the front desk, is one of the kindest and most personable people I've ever met at a piercing & tattoo shop. He takes the time to converse with me and always greets me with a warm welcome, whether it be over the phone when making an appointment or when I arrive in person. When he takes my ID, he even goes out of his way to sanitize the ID, which is incredibly kind of him and makes me feel like I'm getting primary care. Morgan, one of the piercers there, is absolutely phenomenal. She is incredibly nice and professional, tells me honest answers to questions I ask, and gives truthful recommendations as to what is best to pierce, what the best jewelry is, etc. I've had a very hard time healing in regards to my piercings, and Morgan immediately figured out what the issue was and I've had no issue with anything she has pierced. I honestly only trust her, she's so gentle and sweet, I honestly get excited everytime I go in for a piercing because she's so conversational and such an amazing woman, professionally and personally. Even better, she's gone out of Her way to send me information to the best earrings that would result in proper healing and answers all my questions pertaining to my piercings immediately after I email her. Karina, one of the tattoo artists there, is extremely talented and patient. What I learned from getting a piercing here: A conch piercing is never supposed to be done with a hoop. Only use super high quality jewelry for new piercings. Never use harsh cleaning agents on new piercings. I was advised that all these things were okay. I had a piercing done here three months ago, and was initially very pleased. The staff is very friendly here which is great. However, since that time, my jewelry has broken twice, the piercing has been a constant disaster to take care off (I was told to apply tea tree oil to it and they were not sure if that would even work). The pricing is okay but I am tired of having to replace the jewelry sold here. Go to an APP professional for piercings. Don't risk it. read more

Ran into the manager (Hoagie) in downtown Morristown and right off the bat he was extremely friendly and informative of the shop and what they offer. He gave us a great price for what I wanted (which was the selling point to getting my piercing) and I knew I was going to stop by the shop. Right away as you walk into the shop you notice how clean it is, which is major when deciding if you want to get something done at a studio. Hoagie welcomed us and offered anything to drink right away and pointed us toward the lounge which was also very clean. It's a very calming atmosphere which can be important for nervous people. Prior to the piercing, they checked out my ear to see if what I wanted would work and Mike proceeded to lead me into the piercing room. He cleaned my ear thoroughly and everything was sterilized, the jewelry and the piercing needle. He was very funny and nice and made sure I was comfortable before he proceeded with the piercing. Soon enough, it was over and I was very happy with the result. 5 hours later, my piercing looks amazing and healthy. Overall, I highly recommend this studio, as it was the best one I have ever been to (I have several other piercings so I've been to many studios). I was also very nervous in general about getting a tattoo done, but had wanted one for a very long time. Justin was very friendly and very patient. He explained how the image I created would lay differently on the skin, then on a piece of paper. He even ran the needle over my skin just so I could see what it felt like before he started the actual process. He also chatted about his experience as a tattoo artist, with other artists in the studio, and the difference between the different types of needles (line work vs shading). Overall fantastic. My second tattoo was just as great as my first experience. The lady in the front desk was very nice and patient especially with the swarm of people that had arrived right when they opened. I have had 3 different piercings done by Mike and I could not be happier with the degree of his professionalism and skill (daith, tragus and today a snug). He is knowledgeable and takes pride is his work and his room is immaculately clean. What I like the most is that he does not push additional piercings on a customer and really takes the time to listen to your cares and concerns and to address them fully before moving forward with your piercing. I also had a watercolor tattoo done over the summer by Kaitlyn Butler which was absolutely beautiful and I have never had a tattoo heal with absolutely no scabbing! I would give zero stars if I could, since they refused to tattoo me. Here's what happened. I excitedly chose an artist who's work I liked after reading about this Studio's good reputation. I emailed her about my design, we emailed back and forth for probably about three weeks and even had a date set. From the beginning, I stated that I would need a waiver signed for the tattoo releasing the copyright of the image to me. I need to do this because I am an actor. This is absolutely industry standard, and tattooed actors obtain such waivers all the time, easily. If I were to have a tattoo without a waiver it could affect my ability to work significantly because lots of producers don't want to take the risk of a copyright lawsuit should the tattoo appear on camera. After weeks of back and forth, the artist I was talking to began to get cagey about the waiver, saying she has tattooed many actors before and no one has asked for one. She said her manager had absolutely no idea what it was either. But I was willing to work with them! They seemed really nice! So I said why don't you draw up the waiver if it makes you feel more comfortable. After two days of no response, she then responded and said I should probably get a tattoo elsewhere. So um, I guess I will. Also, I literally wanted two tiny 'xx''s tattooed on me. This is like an ancient Viking alphabet symbol, it's not like the artist was making a remotely original design. I highly suggest the manager gets more educated on their own industry, and doesn't make prospective clients feel like they are "shady" for merely trying to insure themselves against lost future earning potential, on a piece of art on their own body. Would have loved to be one of the positive reviews on here and feel included, lmao, but they literally turned away my business when I had been nothing but positive and excited to work with them.
