Carrie is kind, amazing and an excellent piercer! Also, bring cash for tip! I stopped by 2 weeks ago on a Saturday (2/26). I called beforehand to ask about getting a tragus piercing, and was told to stop in during business hours. Note: There's some street parking available in front of the shop depending on the time of day you visit. I had no problem. Upon entering, the shop looked inviting and clean, and there is a couch to the left (super comfy btw). Carrie, my piercer, was in the back finishing up with a customer. I could tell it was going to be a good experience because the lady before me was laughing and chatting away with Carrie. I was given an iPad to complete some paperwork and provided my ID, and then was taken to the back of the room. She gave me a selection of jewelry to choose from and I picked one that I liked most. She completed the piercing, and here's where she earned 5 stars (if I could give her 10 stars, I would). I got up from my chair after she was done, and I was feeling faint (new experience for me, made me realize that I'm not 18 anymore). I asked her where the restroom was and she started to show me, but then asked me if I was feeling faint or like I was going to throw up. I told her yes, and she immediately brought me back to the piercing room and sat me down, elevating my legs. Then she applied cold compress on my neck and placed a fan near me. She kept talking to me and told me a story that I won't repeat here out of respect, and I could see that despite being a total stranger to me, she was such a compassionate person. After about 10-15 minutes, I felt so much better and was ready to get up and pay. I didn't have cash on me and couldn't leave a tip on the card, and you know what Carrie said? Without skipping a beat, she said it was okay and that the best tip was a positive review. And I could tell she was being so genuine. I left but I didn't feel right about not leaving a tip. The next day, I dropped off a thank you card and tip. She didn't remember me, which honestly made the experience that much more meaningful - she's just naturally that kind and cool that she didn't think anything of my situation. She even used jewelry to match my Medusa I already had to make sure all my piercings were all matching. Well... this place wasn't the most ideal place to get pierced. Getting pierced is supposed to feel like a connection with you and your piercer, while you get educated on the hygiene of the puncture. That experience was not provided here. When I was curious about my piercing the piercer gave me such passive aggressive attitude like she just wanted to get it over with. This experience was rushed, and additionally, this was the only piercing place I've been to that doesn't allow pictures. I would strongly advise looking elsewhere. read more

She was really nice but she did my snake eyes wrong :( they're totally slanted..... didn't entirely notice until I started showing everyone and got comments on it.. ended up taking it out, not going through that pain again just sucks it wasn't done more carefully.... Carrie is absolutely wonderful! I went in to get my third ear lob piercing as well as change out two 2-year old cartilage piercings that I had gotten in NYC & my experience was great. I wish I had gone to her much, much sooner!!! She's so passionate about what she does and took the time to explain to me the issue(s) with the old piercings. I also had originally picked out replacement stud earrings and she explained that hoops would be better (for healing purposes but also they look AMAZING). Not to mention, her prices are soooo reasonable!!!! She also sends you home with a bag of cleaners & salt for rinse which is very different than my NYC experience (where they told me not to clean my piercings..) Originally, I came in here just to buy a few nose rings but once I was in, I realized how safe it really was. They kept the doors locked, I had to fill out a waiver, get my temp scanned and sanitize my hands. Carrie helped me with the jewelry and she was very nice. It was so safe that I came back and got my ears pierced. Carrie made the process so easy and quick. She explained multiple times how to clean it and was very thorough. Also, a HUGE bonus that may seem small to others is she gave me a cute little care package with soap, sea salt and some candy. I love that. This was my first time getting a tattoo at Physical Graffiti and I will definitely go back for many more! I was able to get mine done by the owner Paul. He was absolutely amazing and understood my vision with this sketch. Make sure to call beforehand for a consultation because they want to have the least amount of people in the studio. When I went for my consultation, I met Paul and set an appointment immediately after discussing the tattoo I wanted. After everything, I asked Carrie if I could change the earrings for the piercings I had. She was able to switch them out that day! I've been to physical graffiti many times for tattoos in memory of family members, and they came out beautiful and also for daith piercings and for ear piercings, and I had those done with Carrie. She is fantastic. She knows what she's doing she gives a lot of her own opinion, which I appreciate it very much considering the earrings that I had on were supposed to be my birthstone sapphire, and they were far from it, and they were sold to me in the mall. So now I'm satisfied completely with what I have, I have my mother God rest her soul birthstone in my ear and I have my birthstone in my ears. Also, I had to go for a CAT scan and they took out my daith earring I waited about a week. I was trying to get it back in myself, but there was no way and I had to go back to Carrie and she had no problem getting it back in. Found this spot via Yelp! There were tons of great reviews on the piercer Carrie. She did not disappoint. When I walked in there was no line for a Saturday at 8PM, which was nice! Carrie talked me through the options, pricing and process. Piercing was fast and pain didn't last long! She tested out two spots and I went with her recommendation and I'm super happy I did! She is REALLY clean - her room is spotless and she cleaned immediately as we finished my piercing and I was walking out. From start to end took me no more than 25 min. This is a great shop. I went for a nose piercing. It was a smooth process! I even received an after care goodie bag. I returned 6 months later so that my jewelry can be changed and it was done with ease! What really made me give the 5 stars was that my jewelry came out and I could not put my nose stud back in. Came in yesterday and my first thought about the place was the fact that it was very clean and friendly. I was greeted right away by Joey. I asked him for the price of two names and a word; the price was reasonable. The shop had great art for people that wouldn't know what to get. I've been to a couple of tattoo shops and I notice that almost all of them are small. This one is pretty big I was surprise. Anyway after Joey drew my tattoo request, he put it on my hand to see if I like the font, size and position (which I did). After that I payed which made sense to me. Went back after quite some time to get a few ear piercings and new jewelry for my dermal that was done by Carrie. She is truly the best piercer I've ever had the pleasure of visiting. She's professional, extremely clean and reasonably priced. Her little goodie bags she sends you home with are also such a treat! My dermal in my cheek has lasted 3 years now and I'm so happy with my piercings. Due to Covid, I was a little curious as to how things would be handled and boy is she thorough! Everyone was masked, temperature checked, hand sanitized and seated more than 6 feet apart. If anyone is hesitant, I can assure you, this is a safe place. Q is the worst! So difficult to work with, asked for black and white and he totally gave me color. Messed up the shading on the sun rays so now two random sun rays are black and he refused to let me use my tattoo numbing cream after telling me multiple times the tattoo kept getting messed up as I moved in pain. He's totally full of shit can't communicate with him it's like pulling teeth miserable. He never wanted to listen to me or do what I had originally for asked him to do. When asking him to fix something on the tattoo I totally went all the way to the shop for him to tell me no after agreeing before hand completely wasting my time. He's rude and inconsiderate was completely unhappy with Q and the tattoo part of the shop. However, I've gotten multiple piercings from Carrie and she's a dream! I got my nose pierced with Carrie, she was super friendly and really professional. She made suggestions regarding the placement and type of ring for my piercing but also assured we could do whatever I wanted. She sent me home with a really neat after care "goodie bag" it had special soap and a little bag of sea salt with instructions on how to make the sea salt rinse. It even came with a little measuring spoon :) I would say make sure you have time and don't be in a rush bc I did wait for over an hr to be pierced but I didn't mind, she's only one person and there were ppl ahead of me. Came in looking for pricing for a tattoo. I was rudely told by the owner that my pre chosen design was too big for the area where I wanted it and would end up "looking like s**t". I have several tattoos so I can respect an expert opinion however, the manner in which it was relayed was completely unnecessary and a turnoff. I ended up walking out. I went to Physical Graffiti for the first time on Sunday, 1/27. I know that they are typically busy, so I called ahead and they were wonderful! I was able to get pierced same day, and they told me I could come as soon as possible. After doing some research and hearing about her wonderful reputation, I had made the decision to get pierced by Carrie. Whenever the impulse struck, they were busy and I was hesitant to make an appointment because it had been a long time since I decided I wanted a piercing and committed to it - and all of my other piercings had been taken out as part of my "growing up" process while working professionally during and after college. I had concerns that I would make the appointment and chicken out, so I was waiting for a day like Sunday when I would be able to go right away. After Carrie brought me to her office (the piercing room), she gave me a quick explanation as to how the process will go. I told her I am familiar with piercings and she catered the information to what I was getting pierced that day - expected healing process, do's and don'ts, what to expect in the days and first few weeks after getting pierced. She talked to me during the piercing process just enough to keep my nerves at bay and to be friendly enough that I would go back to her for anything! She gave me excellent care instructions as we exited the room and headed to the desk, and provided me with all of the materials needed to care for my piercings during their healing time. She gave me an approximate healing time and explained that it will be slightly different for everyone. She told me that, when I can change the jewelry, there are different sizes and to choose the one that is the right length - it was at that point that I told Carrie I will see her when that time comes because I would absolutely prefer someone with her expert knowledge to help me decide, instead of me guessing and hoping whatever I purchase works. Carrie is WONDERFUL. Physical Graffiti is super clean and the staff was rather friendly for a tattoo shop - granted, it was a quiet Sunday afternoon when I popped in. I will absolutely return to Carrie to change my jewelry when the time comes and also for any of my future piercing needs. read more
