This is now the only place I will get a tattoo. The energy in the space is calming and the staff are really friendly. It was really easy to get an appointment by utilizing the request area on the website. I received communication within 24hrs and had a date quickly. Stephanie had a few things worked up for my idea prior to my arrival and worked with me to get it just the way I wanted it. My tattoo from September was done by Joe. He quickly worked up a great lion tattoo based on my desired expression. If you are seeking some ink... this is the place you want to go. read more

My wife and I chose to get matching tattoos of a Celtic Trinity knot with a heart to show our love and unity. We easily scheduled an appointment either Hector. He is FANTASTIC!! We bonded right away when he didn't like a spiral line in the design i sent him, and we didn't like it either. Also great suggestions on sizing and placement. Very friendly and did great work. Waiting to see final result when fully healed, but so far it is exactly what we want and would go to Hector again! read more

I got a tattoo done by Mariah. She is absolutely amazing. I didn't give her much direction for what exactly I wanted however she had some beautiful work for me to choose from. The whole space is amazing. Every artist has their own area/large cubicle space that provides privacy. I saw Tara for my biggest piece yet and I am in love with her work. She is very welcoming and talented. She has such a light hand and I was comfortable during the whole ~2 hour session. Would definitely go back for more! read more

Got matching tattoos done by Nick G and it went amazing. The studio is so clean and organized. Nick is very friendly and explains his process well and you get a clear idea and discussion of the design. You're able to sit back and have a conversation and even watch a movie while getting your tattoo done. The tattoos look amazing and are healing well. Definitely recommend. read more

Great experience. Staff is very attentive and professional. POV: The place is big, clean and organized. My artist was amazing. Welcomed me with the biggest smile and made me feel like the guest of honor. The work is impeccable. Cannot wait til my next appointment for the next piece. 10000000% recommended. read more

Didnt have their books correct that I was turned away the first appt I made after over an hour drive there. And then an hour drive back. I took work off for the appt. Didn't have their books correct for the second appt I made they wanted me to see two artists at the same time which I did not want to do. Even if it was a convo or line work, I have the right to have a permanent appt the way was booked. Not changed to make their lives more convenient. My time is not important to them. But my money is. That they kept it and still will not honor the resolution given. My bank told me to submit a chargeback now that they are unresponsive and kept my money. What losers. Seriously. read more

Wanted a simple small dragonfly tattoo. Went in person to discuss. Was told the design would be texted to me to approve. After 10 days, no contact. Called again and was told that the artist would be in touch by the end of the day. Four days later, still nothing. I guess they are too busy to deal with small work. read more

I got a tattoo here about a month ago with Stephanie and she was fantastic. She made me feel at home and copied the design I wanted without a single flaw. Really great vibe in the shop. The best tattoo artist of this century! Her phenomenal skills as an artist, are also complemented with her kind- down to earth demeanor. Made getting tattoo'd for my first time a great experience. Gained a customer for a lifetime, I let no one else tattoo me. You want a piece you could look at happily forever & others notice the great work from a mile away look no further. read more

I've been a client of Tiffany's for years now and the new studio she's opened is hands down the best tattoo shop I've ever been to. Tiffany's artistry speaks for itself. I obviously value her talent or she would not be the artist behind most of my work. Talent aside, this new space is something different. It's HUGE yet feels cozy still (dont know how she pulled that off lol), and run very professionally. Her front staff is kind and welcoming, and I was in the booth within a few minutes of arriving for my appointment. I noticed a review left recently thats states the exact opposite. I'm wondering if that person left a negative review for the wrong shop? Having been a client of Ink Gallery (both the older/original location, and this current one I have never had any issues- at all. I have alot of tattoos. I've been to shops in a few different states and countries. This one right here- top tier. Do yourself a favor and check them out. read more

Incredible shop. Beautiful, friendly environment. As soon as I walked in the door I could tell how serious they took cleanliness and their artistry. My friend and I both got tattood by Ben and he was amazing. We love our tattoos and he had great bed side manner throughout the whole process to make sure we were comfortable. I can't wait to come back to get tattood by him and spend more time at this beautiful shop. read more

I've been getting tattoos all around NY for years until I found Ink Gallery and Joanna. I've been looking for a tattoo artist to complete my music sleeve for years. Not only did I find an amazing artist to make my dream of a tattoo sleeve come true, I found the only artist I will have do all of my tattoos from now on. I live in The Bronx but travel to Ink Gallery in NJ because it's worth it. The shop is nice and chill, with an added bonus of healing crystals and gemstones for sale it makes a nice home feeling. Which is great if you're going to be there for several hours. I highly recommend Ink Gallery and all their artists, but my favorite is Joanna. Check out my progress so far... read more

Joanna is awesome. Amazingly talented, so sweet, wonderful conversationalist, down to earth, truly listens and hears a vision, a true artist. This was my first tattoo and I am so in love with it, I think I would be fine never getting another one after this! Anytime anyone sees my tattoo I get compliments. I didn't have a clear idea of what I wanted, but I knew all of the elements I wanted in my tattoo. We talked through all of the elements and details that were important to me and the feel of it, she sketched it up, and I was in love. We made a few small tweaks- but she got my vision so well, they were just a few small details. This being my first tattoo she was cool in explaining everything to me, letting me ask questions, checking with me to make sure I was doing alright. Everyone in the shop was chill and the atmosphere is comfortable. Joanna is super real and we had great conversation- definitely made the experience more enjoyable. The tattoo healed up really well. There was a spot or two that lost some color so Joanna got me in for a quick touch-up. I couldn't recommend Joanna highly enough. Great experience, LOVE my tattoo, worth every single penny. read more

This being my first tattoo, you can understand how nervous I was about the entire process. Needless to say, I was so pleased with the final product and how smoothly the entire process went. The placement of the tattoo was in a quite painful of an area, but Joanna did not rush and made sure I was comfortable throughout the entire process. She also provided me with two options in which we can group the flowers in the design, and what colors we should be using to make my vision come to life. I was able to get my after care questions even days after my visit. I can't say enough good things about the shop either - super clean and relaxing vibes. I am overdue for another one soon but she books up SUPER fast, so make sure you stay on top your calendar ;) read more

I had the pleasure of being tattooed by Joanna. She is relatively new there but you would not be able to tell by the work that she does. She has done two tattoos on me and we are currently working on a third and I could not be happier with the results! Joanna is also super sweet and down to earth - making her very easy to talk to which is a huge plus in my opinion! The shop is awesome as well.. very clean, professional and everyone there is very sweet! I highly recommend this shop and Joanna! Can't wait to go back and finish my piece! read more

Drove to the shop with the bestie today to buy some crystals! Yes, we drove 45 min out the way to a tattoo shop to buy crystals, lol. Ink Gallery has an entire section where they sell all types of crystals...made into key chains, necklaces, bracelets, etc. I was originally just going to pick up 3 amethyst necklaces but walked out with also 4 amethyst key chains, and 3 different crystals for my side table. Great prices for the crystals and great quality! We met Tiffany & Mariah who were welcoming and radiated positivity just like the crystals! We will def be back to book a tattoo session and buy more crystals in the future :-) read more

Bad experience with original co owner clouded my judgment. Tiffany the real owner is a class act. Dave my artist was cool as well. He tried to help me out but wasn't allowed by the now gone co owner. I should have tried to get through to Tiffany bc knowing more now she really is good people and wouldn't of let that fly. Go check them out really nice place and nothing better then a big nice tv to watch espn and cool artists to talk to while getting tattooed. It really did make the two sessions fly by. Thanks Tiffany continued success to you and Ink Gallery! read more

I have nothing but good things to say about the place and the staff here . I came to check out the shop but right away I was placed with Dave and not joking I felt so comfortable I decided to get it right away . Me and my boyfriend came to get matching Roman numeral tattoos and off course I decided to get our date on my ribs and him on his inner arm . Dave chose the perfect font and spot for us and we loved it ! This is my boyfriend's 3rd tattoo and he said this was the best experience he's had . The tattoo did hurt but Dave had me and my boyfriend laughing ! We loved it and wil definitely come back to get more tats from Dave! More tattoo artists need to be like this read more

First time at the shop, first impression was that is was super clean. The place is very inviting and calm. Staff was professional and courteous. I was there to see Vic, who is currently quest spotting there. AS always, this veteran artist delivered the goods, then some. Takes your tattoo experience to a whole new level with a keen eye for detail and a wonderfully developed artist's eye that creates designs that are fresh and original. Vic is a one of a kind, talented artist, but an even better person. If you seek a piece that will bring a smile to your face EVERYTIME you look at it, then Vic is the artist of choice. Highly recommend!! read more

If you want "Quality" this is the place to go! The staff and the owner are all amazing and very friendly. I've gone outta my way to come and get my tattoo done here only bc its a guaranteed great job. The shop is so cute and welcoming versus any other grungy place where they barely wanna speak to you when you walk in the door. I've been able to say what i wanted and they made my visions come to life by drawing it up rather than some other shops I've gone to that requested I already come in with the picture. (SMH) The artists all have amazing work and although pricey, well worth it if you expect to have this on your body for a lifetime!! =) keep up the great work guys read more

Go to bobby for sure! I've been following him since he first started out. Great artist overall. Solid line work, gentle touch and easy to talk to which is so important to make you feel comfortable. Go to him with any idea and he'll put his own artistic style to it and make it 10 times better. He is definitely the guy you want to see for portraits and realism. Just check out his instagram if you don't believe me. Overall great eye for art and is still young only getting better! Book your appointments now while you can before his wait is forever read more

Wish I could give 0... Scheduled a tattoo session for myself and 2 others for 11/8/14, at 5pm all getting memorial tattoos. We arrived early only to find out that our artist, Dave, was out on medical leave until mid January 2015. Nothing you can do about that, BUT no one called any of us to let us know! The owner was there and didn't even have the decency to speak with us, offer us another artist, nothing! So unprofessional!!!! Dave does great work but the shop is so poorly run that I wouldn't spend a dime in this place! We ended up going to Hole In The Sky a few miles away, which I highly recommend!!! Very professional, great group of guys, and their work is awesome! read more

I do not understand how they give a good review. in this place they make tattoos worse than those on the street, they are super expensive the artist does not help you at all,I was doing one to cover a scar and did not cover it well I can still see it. don't know if the (artist) who did the work for me is the worst in that place, also they charge a lot $ 120 plus tax for a small tattoo that he finish it in half an hour, one side was thicker than the other.thank you for nothing Nick you made a mess. read more

Quite the opposite of JM's review. Got a tattoo by Alfonso and half of the tattoo did not even show up on my skin after peeling 2 days later. I'm an avid tattoo collector and have been to shops all over NJ and have NEVER experienced the tattoo ink peeling off and leaving me nothing but pink skin and no ink. The owner tried to tell me that the pink skin without a trace of any black ink would produce black ink once it healed, which is completely inaccurate. The only positive is that the manager/owner refunded me my money without hesitation once asked. For their shop hourly rate, there are much better tattoo parlors in the near by area (hole in the sky down the road) that are stacked with amazing, experienced tattoo artists for the same rate. If they did not have "Tiffany" who was on best ink in their shop, they wouldn't be as booked as they are. Steer clear in my opinon. read more

Overall, by far the best tattoo shop ! The artists are phenomenal and bring your ideas to life! From the moment you enter the shop the ambiance is so relaxing and welcoming. I am nothing short of pleased with the work I had done with a great price at that. The most professional group of tattoo artists I have been around and will continue to have work done here. Tattoos mean a lot to me, you are showcasing art everywhere you go and I am so proud of the art on my body. Thanks again Ink Gallery !
