Saw an ad for a two lobe piercings while visiting NYC to see family! Thought.... "Hey, why not!…read moreI've never had a professional piercing, it's the holidays!" And ended up calling to see if they had any appointments available!! Talked with Vic, and she told me to come in later that day!! So excited for me :D When I came in I told Vic I had taken an edible earlier before making the appointment and that I was going to eat dinner afterwards, and she made sure to give me a few chocolates so I had some food in my stomach so I wouldn't get nauseous !! She picked out the jewelry so it was ready before I got there, was super quick and very clear and helpful! It took about 45 minutes for a lobe piercing on each other :3 Extremely clean and nice shop!! Will be coming back when I come back to NY ! I found out the Vic, who did my ears, was the owner too so it was super wicked to get it done by a femme for my first professional shop visit !! All around great prices and great vibes ! Prices: 2 lobe piercings, with studs included, for 60. (Originally it's 120 but I found a deal she honored!) Saline Cleaning Spray for 10 Tip was 25 (20% of 120, make sure to tip your piercers!)

[PIERCING ONLY] The…read moregothic vibe inside Victory Art and Tattoo feels so authentic compared to other alt-style piercing/tattoo parlors! The employees are very kind, personable, and clearly know what they're doing. The themed decor around the shop is absolutely gorgeous and their music selection specifically is superb; I must've added at least 10 different songs I've heard in-store to my personal playlist. The only reason I'm knocking off one (half of a) star is because among my times visiting the store, I've gotten a couple inconsistent assessments regarding a tongue piercing. While I don't remember any names, I've been told I both did and did not have the anatomy for a tongue piercing by two different piercers - and when I was able to get my tongue pierced here on the second visit, after the swelling died down I noticed it was too far back to fit comfortably in my mouth and gave me a noticeable lisp, so I had to take it out after a month and have it re-pierced elsewhere in the correct position. I truly wish I could put in a 4.5-star review on Yelp because I've gotten many other piercings (snake bites, double lobes, septum upsize) from this establishment with no other issues to mention. They have a wide range of jewelry to select from as well, so if you don't rock with standard studs they have a little something for everybody from jewels to stars. All things considered, I first visited Victory very inexperienced with the piercing process - they're otherwise very open to location changes and are extremely receptive with personal feedback. Compared to other shops I've visited in the area, Victory is a bit on the pricier side and may not be suitable for those who can't afford the price tag, though I believe it's a welcome trade-off for experienced, safe, professional, and clean service.

Very disappointing experience and extremely unprofessional communication.

This was my first tattoo and it was such an amazing experience. Everyone we met at the shop was super friendly and made me feel at ease (my mom is a seasoned pro, so she was cool as a cucumber lol). The shop is super clean as well and has the best vibe. Now for the tat: Ben is an amazing artist. I told him what I wanted and when he showed me the sketch, it was exactly how I saw it in my mind. He also made me feel totally comfortable before, during, and after. I love my new tattoo and am so happy that they were able to make this vision a reality. Gabby (pretty sure that was her name) and Jenna were super helpful explaining all the jewelry available and what kind of aftercare treatment would be needed as this was my first piercing in a long time. The actual piercing process was probably the quickest part of the whole operation, I'd say it took 5 minutes tops and barely hurt more than popping a pimple. Can't say enough excellent things about this place! Owner,…read moreDom, and tat artist, Rebecca, vibed with me immediately. Destiny shall I say? Felt like I knew them forever. Dom is incredible. He's so passionate about what he does and IMO an expert with piercings and what he chooses for the best of all when it comes to quality and beauty. Uses 14k gold to titanium. Diamonds and natural gems offered as well! Not surgical SS which contains nickel. (Most hospitals use titanium to fuse bones or secure replacements in our bodies.) Incredibly knowledgeable and tells you everything from start to finish. I was hesitant because of my own memories of piercing gun I was used to 20yrs ago versus needles, but I swear he is so exceptional that I will never go to another. He explains everything, super knowledgeable, can answer every question you have and uses the best materials. He is super passionate and is simply himself. Place is beyond sterile and not one piercing I chose has hurt for days like your typical piercing gun at "Claire's". It's reverse piercing where flat bottomed backing doesn't poke your skin as you sleep or hand hold your phone. You basically buy the tops to replace once inserted as opposed to traditional you remove backing and change your earring with this long post stabbing you in your head. He will even offer to change tops for you! Exceptional taste in beauty trends and will order whatever you might want from his suppliers that he may not have on hand at the moment. Follow them on IG! I'll be here forever if I really lay into this awesome review! I've already been here two consecutive days as of writing and brought my hubby for 2nd trip to have his ear redone from prior. I requested third appt and am excited to see new products he has coming next week before I decide on fourth. Now working with Rebecca for my additional tats! My review will not do them Justice, just come here and see for yourself! 10 stars if it were possible!

I initially had high hopes for my experience because I got along well with the artist and felt…read morecomfortable going into the appointment. Unfortunately, the outcome of my final tattoo was extremely disappointing. During the session, my skin was overworked significantly, which resulted in multiple scars. I have never gotten scars from any other tattoo. During the healing process I had an open wound in the center from my skin being dug into. There are also major inconsistencies in the black ink saturation throughout the piece, so much so that parts are fading out. The tattoo itself ending up not following the reference, as a lot of the lines are shaky, the center of the flower lacks definition, and the petals are not cohesive. I understand that tattoo artists can become exhausted, especially during long sessions, which is why I wish I was firmly told to come back another day. If an artist is too tired to give a piece their full attention and care, it would be far better to firmly reschedule for another day rather than continue working while fatigued. This experience genuinely impacted my confidence and how I feel about my body, which is really upsetting because my goal with tattoos is to feel more in tune with myself and style. Unfortunately, the outcome has led me to begin the tattoo removal process, which is both emotionally and financially stressful for me and is about to cost me a lot more than this tattoo.
