He was personable and we had great conversation before and after the piercing. He followed my lead with when to do the second ear because baby girl was understandably upset. Went in there a while back to look for a specific piece of body jewelry. The kind they had wasn't what I needed. After telling them I wasn't interested "Rock" appeared to be very insulted, questioning as to why I wasn't interested. As I was walking out he said "see you later, bye, adios" in a very irate tone. You can tell he was irritated. Very unprofessional. I do not recommend. Take a look at his replies to negative reviews too. It says everything you need to know. He doesn't address the issue, just gets defensive. Going to wait for the reply "you're a coward, you are making up lies, you need Jesus, we aren't going anywhere blah blah blah". All of which would only prove my point. Update-Reply to owner: it also appears that YOU have a lot of time on your hands replying to negative reviews when you should be busy trying to make your shop better. Only put up with it just to get my nose pierced. On top of that, the piercing was done way high up than it should have been. Worst tattoo shop ever!! The owner is a complete asshole arguing with his costumers! My cousins and I wanted a matching tattoo (little dots) nothing big! He wouldn't give us a price over the phone so when we went in person and ask for a price he tries to tell us he's charging us $80 for four little dots own my arm! He said that was the minimum they charge and I said that's fine we'll think of something else to get so it's worth the $80 and then he started bad mouthing us saying we wasted his time! I got my nose pierced here a few days ago. The guy that did it made me very uncomfortable. He kept calling me "baby" and touching my thighs. I would've just left if he hadn't already gotten everything sterilized and ready. I winced because it hurt(duh, it's a needle piercing my skin) and he said "wow, I can't believe you reacted like that." Just a very rude and unprofessional guy. I don't get why there are so many bad reviews but places are always going to have negatives and positives. My experience at this shop has ALWAYS been positive. The owner has done my nipple piercings three times in the last 6 years (I took them out the first time because I didn't listen about changing the jewelry, second time I was pregnant and now I wanted them back to feel like me again). He has always been respectful and professional. I literally flew from California to New Jersey just to get them done with him because I only feel comfortable and trust him! The people in front was very nice. But the piercer guy... very rude. He made me feel very uncomfortable, I got a belly piercer ( it looks ok) he started to pull down my pants without saying anything. He could have said like, I will do it to clean the area or just excuse me etc. Also he was always pushing me next to him with a weird way of touching some unnecessary areas. Didn't let me ask nothing about what he was doing in my own body, since was my first piercing I was very nervous and I was paying for it I feel that I had the right to ask. I went in to get a tattoo. The artist completely butchered it and went way too deep with the needle. This resulted in the tattoo getting infected and left me with a shitty looking tattoo and severe scar tissue underneath. Do not go here. They fucking suck. The idiot owner must have known his artist fucked up because when I went in to show them it was infected he gave me my money back. They should be put out of business. UPDATE : I wish I were lying. I had the absolute worst experience at this tattoo parlor. I got a tattoo in Dec 2015 and also wanted a cover up. My tattoo artist name was Peter who was very nice ,however, they required a 60.00 deposit on my 2nd tattoo which was a cover up. I was given a card signed by Peter stating the date and 60.00 deposit. Sadly the artist Peter's mother passed away and I also had surgery.I was not able to go back right away to get the tattoo due to the the artist being out of town and my personal health issue. I went in the shop to finish my tattoo and also had the card handy. The artist Peter's advised it was his handwriting but the owner stated "He didn't know me" She probably wrote the amount in. It was absolutely insulting because I was advised I had to put a deposit down. I value good work and would have gone there for my 3rd tattoo. The way I was treated today was horrible and I would never recommend this place to anyone. I should have followed my gut and not put a deposit down. I was given my 60.00 back and will be more than happy to give my money to a tattoo shop who treats customers with respect *****Update****** the owner is now stating to make matters worse I threatened him bodily harm. Really???? If the owner thought I was lying why did you give me my money back??? The most unprofessional place I've ever been. How was I trying to get a free tattoo when you advised the cover up would be 200 for both and the deposit was 60.00. You did nothing to make the situation better. So let's start with this. The reason why I gave a 4 instead of lower is because I could really tell the owner knew what he was doing and he was very kind. There were a couple of big things for me that I didn't like.. he pierced my ear without showing me or confirming with me where he was going to do it.. the next piercing I got I made sure he showed me. Next thing I thought that was extremely strange was he did not talk to me at all about aftercare. He only asked me if I wanted to buy the spray but no discussion of when I could take the earring out or what I should be doing. I have a lot of piercings so maybe he didn't think it was necessary to say it but that was a huge red flag for me. Overall the experience was pleasant, because like I said, the owner was extremely nice and genuine. The owner pierced my septum & he was a funny guy with lots of stories. (Which kept me calm & distracted). I can't wait to see how my piercing healed & will update when it does. I personally would go back there. I did not feel uncomfortable or creeped out at all, some people just need to learn how to have a sense of humor. My friend and I went in for some piercings she got her nipples done and I got a dermal in my chest. The guy that did our piercings was making innapropriate comments about her breast and his love for black women most of the time . Made us very uncomfortable. When he was done he gave her a free bottle of the after care because he said she was pretty. When it came to my dermal it had to be done a total of four times to get the jewel in and he blamed my "tight skin" for his trouble . When I too asked for the after care for having to endure what I did I was told no because my jewelry is expensive. I do not recommend this location, very unprofessional establishment. Me and my boyfriend decided to go to this tattoo shop, we waited 10 minutes before we even received a greeting. I really want a tattoo and was in a good mood so I did not let this deter me. After explaining what type of tattoo I wanted the owner rock interrupted me and the tattoo artist and informed me i woukd have to pay upfront. I have over 20 tattoos from over 5 shops on 5 different states and have never been asked to pay upfront(even at the gas station they don't ask this if you are paying with cash). Rock then told me and my boyfriend that if we don't like the rules nobody is forcing us to stay here. I was shocked and totally embarrassed, my boyfriend who who shys away from confrontation kept quiet and because everyone was looking at me I prepaid for my tattoo even though it was a hour wait. The owner, who is the nastiest person I ever met then took out a counterfeit decking marking and checked each bill, he commented to his employee that he was shocked it was real. At that point I had enough I got my money back and told him I would not patronize this place, he replied that he didnt need my money and open the front door for us to leave. Anotjer customer was so appalled that she and her friends left and call him a few choice curse words and even apologized to me for what he made me go through. GREAT PLACE! I had given a call to Rock, the owner last year stating I was interested in getting my first tattoo. I was extremely nervous and asked a thousand questions over the phone in which Rock answered every single one of them with professionalism and made me feel comfortable. I then went to Rock City a few days later to get an estimate and to show Rock what I was looking to get done. My boyfriend also was going to get a tattoo as well. Rock and his staff were very friendly, knowledgeable, and made the process that much easier on me! The place was extremely clean and you could tell they really knew their stuff! I then scheduled my appointment and went back a week later with my boyfriend! I was shaking like a leaf but Rock sat next to be in the mini reception area and told me it will be fine. My experience here was problematic on many levels. First off, the owner made multiple sexist and racism comments, and was a little too touchy. He also insulted my entire generation and was super cheesy about being Italian and enforcing negative stereotypes. He gave me a free t shirt which was nice, but he insinuated to my friend and I that we needed bigger sizes than we asked for. I came in for a cartilage piercing and left 45 minutes later because he would not stop talking. Next, he told me that he was a self taught piercer... I almost left but he had already taken everything out (the only good thing I have to say is the needle and earring were new and clean). He did not go slow at all, he literally just jammed it in my ear. Then he told me to use bactine to clean the piercing, which is not a good idea (he didn't give me any aftercare instructions until I asked). He also made fun of me for asking questions. I went to a different place a few days later to get another piercing and they told me he used the wrong type of earring for my piercing. Don't go here!! Go to Jinx proof instead. read more

I went to see if they could come up with a drawing to cover up a tattoo. I was not told that the deposit for $50 was non refundable which I wouldn't mind if it wasn't if they even tried attempting to send me a draw up of what they can cover up my tattoo with. I left the deposit 3 weeks ago, the emails I sent after the first one were responded to a day or 2 later, I did not get my first email for a few days. The first drawing I did not like (which is fine if they tried to do more to my liking but they didn't). I sent them a picture of a tattoo that I wanted and they said ok and asked me my availability. I told them and they told me an appointment with the artist wouldn't be available until a Tuesday in the afternoon. I said ok but never got a confirmation e-mail (also take note that the tattoo that they we agreed upon was the one I picked out, not the 1 tattoo that they drew up). Now I am not trying to be a dick, but after seeing the first drawing and the way they were responding to my e-mails, I got the vibe that I wasn't a priority and if I am paying $150 an hour, at least make an effort. Every person wants to go to a tattoo parlor and feel like the artist wants to do a great piece on them, not feel like it's just another tattoo. I get it if they are busy but still, I am out $50 for a half ass attempt. Well if that's how they work than that's better than paying them hundreds for a half ass tattoo. Also in response to the comment below, don't lie. I have the emails to show how reluctant you guys were in responding. I don't leave reviews for fun, tattoos are serious and it's also someone's hard earned money. You do not have anything saying the deposits are non refundable and that's not even the point . Now you're lying when I can show you that your emails you sent me were sent days apart. They were all successful in going through and I got all of your emails.
