I walked into this tattoo with Emma knowing I wanted something non-traditional, creative, and special to commemorate my 8 1/2 years of working in a hospital setting trying to help kids grow. With the details I wanted, it was admittedly an overcomplicated idea and I was never made to feel like it was too much. Emma asked questions to understand the reasoning behind things and then exceeded my expectations with the design; a beautiful, colorful piece of art that did not miss anything I had asked for and made it look so fluid. She let me know her thoughts on locations and sizes as we finalized things. Throughout the near 5 hour tattoo, she regularly checked in on how I was doing. It was also wonderful to watch her blend colors and add detail as things all came together to my newest piece of art! Thank you Emma, and the rest of the team at Painted Souls!

Went here for a second time for an appointment with Josh. I thought my appointment was at a different time then it was originally scheduled. They were super understanding about it. Josh did a great job from the sketch to placement to the actual tattoo. Very clean and cute place. Everyone here is super helpful and friendly. Getting an appointment online is super easy and it requires a deposit to book your appointment. Would recommend getting a tattoo here from anyone, but would definitely recommend Josh or Chelsea.

I can not say enough good things about Emma and Painted Souls Arts. This was my first tattoo and Emma absolutely exceeded all of my expectations. From the moment I met with her for my consultation through the completion of my tattoo she was amazing. Never having a tattoo before Emma was very through and clear with the the whole process and what to expect. She graciously answered ALL of my questions too, I had a lot of them. Never once did she make me feel silly for asking. The studio is beautiful, clean and welcoming. My tattoo is absolutely perfect, Emma took my idea and brought it to life beautifully. I have received so many compliments . I look forward to working with Emma again.

This is the only review I have ever written in my life. It is because this is so horrible and I want to cry every time I look at it that I am even writing this. My friend and I wanted simple tattoos to commemorate our loved ones who had passed away recently. My tattoo is supposed to be the name of my rescued pitbull who died of cancer after so many heaven filled years together. My friend's tattoo is supposed to be lyrics from a Frank Sinatra song that was her FATHER'S favorite song before he died unexpectedly and tragically. I called on a Sunday and asked if they did walk-ins, they said yes come in. They were friendly but IN NO WAY did they mention to us that the woman who would tattoo us could not speak or especially READ a lick of english until she had physically already started tattooing us. We didnt realize to what extent her lack of ability to tattoo or read was. The font on my tattoo is supposed to be clean and instead it looks more like "boo" then "gie" as if it were 2 separate words. It's so shaky like Tim Burton with a seizure did this. My friend's tattoo should say "come fly with me" instead it says "com fry with me" with horrible spacing. We've asked other ppl to read it and every answer has been the same-its ugly and wrong. The "artist" even put our bandage on wrong. We saw that the gauze said "this side down" facing up when we got home and it should've really hit us then how bad she was. Still being hopeful maybe it would look better once healed. God I hate my optimism. Now every time we look at our arms wanting to think of my dog or her dad, we think of these people who greedily misled us to be it was an actual experienced tattoo artist who could read English permanently tattoo English words onto our skin. We tried to tell her as she was tattooing us what we weren't happy about and nothing registered. My 88 year old grandpa who never left Thailand understands 4 words of english which seems to be 4 more than this woman knew. We paid 200$ each for this epileptic chicken scratch. My friend has asked me not to post her tat because shes so embarrassed. But I need to let people know that you may or may not be lied to into believing you are getting an experienced employee who can do simple font work. Either way its messed up they didnt even mention to us she was obviously an extreme rookie and couldnt read or write any of the words we wanted. Now I need to spend more money to get it fixed if it's even possible.

Incredible experience! The shop is beautiful, welcoming, and clean! Kris is amazing and my tattoo is absolutely perfect. Will be recommending both Kris and this shop to all my friends!

Cinar is an extremely talented artist and true professional when it comes to tattoos. The space was well decorated and calming for my 3-hour session. I was never nervous and they had my entire trust. I provided Cinar with a few pages of references and he nailed the design that I was going for. We only went back and forth on the type of tree to include in the design because I wasn't specific in our initial consultation. I hope to one day go back to Cinar for any future tattoos I may want because I would love his artwork/style to cohesively match the other artwork on my body.

Cinar at Painted Soul Arts is an incredible artist. I had a terrible tattoo from my youth that needed to be covered up and I tasked him with figuring out how to capture my life's work (as a pastry chef) in the cover up project. His artistry far exceeded my expectations and he truly brought my ideas to life in this tattoo. I couldn't be happier with the outcome and I have to point out he is a damn nice guy, too.

I have numerous tattoos but I've never been so pleased with any artist as I have been with Cinar and frankly wish that all my tattoos were by him. I found him on Instagram and loved his sketch style and thought it would be perfect for a tattoo of a ghost nun I wanted. When I met him and explained how I wanted it to be eerie and dark but not cheesy, he absolutely got it. He came up with three different designs for me to choose from and then executed the one I chose to perfection. I loved it so much it ended up becoming a sleeve that is now so dear to my heart and feels like part of my soul. He was so nice to collaborate with throughout the design process, has a really special style and truly creative and unique designs, and also his actual tattooing skills are impeccable. He has a really steady and light hand and all of my tattoos by him have healed beautifully and are crisp, with no scar tissue or anything of the sort. I've never had an artist capture my vision so well and then expand on it beyond what I could have imagined. I recommend Cinar for any tattoo but especially if you are interested in something haunting and with a dark theme his style is incredible for it, I've seen this also in work he's done on my best friend. His wife, Emma, at the studio, is also an incredibly talented artist and I've been impressed by her paintings and tattoo pieces anytime I have gone in.

Their dedication and artistry are on another level--the attention to detail, creativity, and care that goes into their work is unmatched. Each tattoo I've gotten here feels like a true piece of art that I'll be proud to wear for life. What I love most is how accommodating and kind everyone is. Can't say enough excellent things about this place! Owner,…read moreDom, and tat artist, Rebecca, vibed with me immediately. Destiny shall I say? Felt like I knew them forever. Dom is incredible. He's so passionate about what he does and IMO an expert with piercings and what he chooses for the best of all when it comes to quality and beauty. Uses 14k gold to titanium. Diamonds and natural gems offered as well! Not surgical SS which contains nickel. (Most hospitals use titanium to fuse bones or secure replacements in our bodies.) Incredibly knowledgeable and tells you everything from start to finish. I was hesitant because of my own memories of piercing gun I was used to 20yrs ago versus needles, but I swear he is so exceptional that I will never go to another. He explains everything, super knowledgeable, can answer every question you have and uses the best materials. He is super passionate and is simply himself. Place is beyond sterile and not one piercing I chose has hurt for days like your typical piercing gun at "Claire's". It's reverse piercing where flat bottomed backing doesn't poke your skin as you sleep or hand hold your phone. You basically buy the tops to replace once inserted as opposed to traditional you remove backing and change your earring with this long post stabbing you in your head. He will even offer to change tops for you! Exceptional taste in beauty trends and will order whatever you might want from his suppliers that he may not have on hand at the moment. Follow them on IG! I'll be here forever if I really lay into this awesome review! I've already been here two consecutive days as of writing and brought my hubby for 2nd trip to have his ear redone from prior. I requested third appt and am excited to see new products he has coming next week before I decide on fourth. Now working with Rebecca for my additional tats! My review will not do them Justice, just come here and see for yourself! 10 stars if it were possible!

I initially had high hopes for my experience because I got along well with the artist and felt…read morecomfortable going into the appointment. Unfortunately, the outcome of my final tattoo was extremely disappointing. During the session, my skin was overworked significantly, which resulted in multiple scars. I have never gotten scars from any other tattoo. During the healing process I had an open wound in the center from my skin being dug into. There are also major inconsistencies in the black ink saturation throughout the piece, so much so that parts are fading out. The tattoo itself ending up not following the reference, as a lot of the lines are shaky, the center of the flower lacks definition, and the petals are not cohesive. I understand that tattoo artists can become exhausted, especially during long sessions, which is why I wish I was firmly told to come back another day. If an artist is too tired to give a piece their full attention and care, it would be far better to firmly reschedule for another day rather than continue working while fatigued. This experience genuinely impacted my confidence and how I feel about my body, which is really upsetting because my goal with tattoos is to feel more in tune with myself and style. Unfortunately, the outcome has led me to begin the tattoo removal process, which is both emotionally and financially stressful for me and is about to cost me a lot more than this tattoo.

I was greeted by the cliche young, arrogant "tattoo shop girl", you know the one, usually they have all the piercings, the sleeve, usually have one side of their head shaved and act as if they are too important to deal w you. Yeah, that one, she basically told me come back later. Anyway, I leave. As I'm driving around the block, I stumble on Clockwork Tattoo shop and there was parking right in front. I go in, I'm greeted by a slightly tatted dude at the counter. I tell him what I need done. He says, "let me grab an artist from the back", so I sit. Two min later he comes back and says "I'm sorry, he's just finishing w a client". I sit and think to myself, "I've never been in such a professional tattoo shop". As I look around, this place is clean and decorated with art and no flash. A few framed articles and not much more, a bit odd. Not two min later a young guy comes from the back, introduces himself as Joe (turns out to be the owner), I show him some work I want to have fixed. He says "yeah, we can help you out, but I'm booked for about 2-3 months", what am I going to do at this point? I say ok and I turn back to the dude that initially greeted me and begin discussing appt dates in November. Just then the phone rings and its a cancellation for later in the week. BOOM, it's mine. I go home and begin my search online to check out their work, one piece better than the next b I go back later in the week for my appointment. Everyone at this place is amazingly down to earth and professional. I had my first session of a cover-up done and I can't wait to go back. As such, I am no stranger to getting tattooed and rate my experience at Clockwork as fantastic. Working with Joe was a real treat, as he is a really good person and dynamite tattoo artist. To begin with, the shop is super tidy and clean. The staff is pleasant, professional and engaging. I didn't feel rushed or pandered to but I also walked into the shop with ideas in hand and was receptive to Joe's suggestions. I gave him my rough idea and he ran with it. He was enthusiastic and the entire experience was laid back and chill, it was like collaborating with a good friend who happens to be awesome at tattooing. In chatting with Joe while he was tattoo me, it was clear that he takes great pride in his profession. He has a light touch and the process, though not painless, was tolerable. I have a high pain threshold but at one point after 3 hours, my inner arm was getting alittle "zippy" which is code word for hurts like Hell. I powered through but what really left a lasting impression was that Joe apologized for the tattoo hurting and he knew it was uncomfortable. Clearly an apology was not in order as I had voluntarily paid this man good money to repeatedly jab an inky needle into the tender flesh of my inner, upper arm but it was nice to know that Joe was not completely desensitized to the discomforts of his clients. As far as the price point, I feel Clockwork's prices are very fair as Joe's work is specialized, visually stunning and top notch. If his shop were in NYC, he could command even more for his work. With a tattoo, it would not behoove you to bargain hunt as you really do get what you pay for.
