Jinx Proof came highly-recommended by a family member who had previously had a lot of work done there. I was tattooed at Jinx Proof by Eric. He carefully listened to my ideas, drew up an excellent rendering of it, and paid attention to my vision. The tattoo came out wonderfully and healed great. Colors have remained vivid and it has held up GREAT. Throughout the process, he was friendly and we chatted together. The shop is spotlessly clean; staff are laid back and friendly; price was good for excellent quality work. Recommended 100%

When I called back--8 days before the appointment--to confirm details, I was told they do not tattoo minors. I was informed this was a mistake on their end and that my deposit would be refunded. Very disappointing experience and extremely unprofessional communication.

The atmosphere is warm, inviting, and comfortable--you can feel the creative energy as soon as you walk in. Nico and Anna, in particular, have spent hours with me, patiently planning, sketching, and refining designs until they're absolutely perfect. Their dedication and artistry are on another level--the attention to detail, creativity, and care that goes into their work is unmatched. Each tattoo I've gotten here feels like a true piece of art that I'll be proud to wear for life. What I love most is how accommodating and kind everyone is. They make the process collaborative and personal, which really sets them apart from so many other shops. It's not just about getting a tattoo--it's about having an experience you'll remember. If you're considering new ink, this is the place to come. You won't find a more talented or supportive team anywhere. And if you do stop by, be sure to say hi to everyone for me!

I've had a lobe piercing that closed up after a few weeks of not having an earring in and I've been…read morelooking for a solid place to have it re-pierced. Since it's a simple piercing, I didn't want to shell out big bucks to go to a specialized piercing parlor but I also didn't want an infection from somewhere inexperienced or uncertified. Thanks to Yelp I found the perfect middle ground at Just Pierce It. Located right at the Queens Boulevard entrance of Queens Center Mall, Just Pierce It is a kiosk that's bright, clean and easy to find. They also do some creative rearrangement of the display cases to have a small, semi-private piercing area. They take appointments on Yelp and when I did, I got a very pleasant worker who called me to confirm the time. It definitely didn't seem necessary to make an appointment but it does get busy. My piercing was done by a female piercer who took a great deal of time to examine my ear and explain the process. She was gentle, patient and knowledgable and even noticed that my original piercing had split some cartilage because it was far up my lobe, which is why the re-piercing was tougher than usual. After the piercing, she did a great job talking about aftercare and mentioned a follow up in 2 weeks if needed. Prices are very reasonable and I was in and out in less than 20 minutes. Another thing I really liked about Just Pierce It is how open they are to telling customers if a particular piercing they're asking for would require them to visit one of their other locations instead of the kiosk because of the extra set up and equipment needed for safety. I will definitely be recommending it to others.
