I am absolutely OBSESSED with Evolving Pilates and a Wendy. I first came here as a guest with my friend, and as someone who works out regularly and is an active rock climber I completely fell in love with Pilates and Wendy immediately. I feel so much stronger while I'm climbing, I'm more flexible and actually don't have to go to my chiropractor as much either. I have now brought my sisters, mom, niece, babysitter and multiple friends who feel the same way and who all continue to come too. Wendy makes you feel so welcomed and the other women who come are so nice, you truly feel like you are getting a one on one session. So even if you are just starting out or experienced athlete Wendy will always adapt to whatever your needs are. EVOLVING PILATES IS AMAZING and the BEST Pilate studio ever!!!!!

Wendy takes a very individual and crafted approach to Pilates, assessing each student and ensuring that all clients have the workout that is best for them, whether it is therapeutic, stretch/release or traditional "burn". She is knowledgeable and caring and her classes reflect her kindness and compassion. I highly recommend Evolving Pilates for the first time student as well as the more seasoned practitioner.

After taking Pilates classes with Wendy for over a year this review is long overdue! I was lucky enough to know someone who was signed up and referred me to take her classes. Wendy has built such an encouraging community which welcomes all people. What I love so much about Wendy is her positive energy/attitude she challenges us, helps us grow, and KICKS OUR BUTTS. I wholeheartedly recommend attending a class, she does not disappoint !

Wendy and my girls on my birthday

I've been taking Pilates and Lagree for years, and when I say Wendy is the best of the best, I truly mean it.

The studio is always clean, welcoming, and well organized, and the classes are thoughtfully programmed. Every morning I see Shaakirah, who is always so attentive and genuinely welcoming. She greets us right at the front and sets such a positive tone to start the day. All of the front desk staff are kind, friendly, and make the studio feel warm and inviting from the moment you walk in. Ann is amazing. I regularly take her morning classes, and I always feel great throughout the entire day afterward, her positive energy is contagious. She is always happy and cheerful, and every class brings something new. She consistently helps me improve my posture, form, and overall technique while continuing to challenge me and help me advance. She truly inspires me. Nicole is fantastic. I genuinely love her classes and always look forward to them I just wish she were on the schedule more often. Her classes flow so nice and include a lot of unilateral work, which has helped me correct imbalances and improve overall symmetry. Her classes are challenging, effective, and always fun. Lily's classes are the most challenging I've taken. Every time I take one of her classes, especially Power Pilates, I think it's the hardest class I've done, until the next week when I take another one and think the same thing again. She pushes us in the best way, encourages progressive layering, and creates an environment where you truly feel yourself advancing with every class. I enjoy her classes so much. Stevie is where my Pilates journey began. I've taken all of her different class formats from foundations to advanced and every class is thoughtfully challenging. She does an incredible job of showing how even simple exercises can be layered and progressed, helping you understand how to continuously advance your practice. I've also taken classes with Merilee, Natalie, Cece and Tuzdae, and their classes have been great as well.

I've seen real gains in strength and mobility, and classes feel accessible for all ages and experience levels. Highly recommend either location. I've heard great things about almost every instructor, but these are the ones I've taken most and would recommend 10x over: Tracy F. - Warm, funny, and welcoming. I've taken 150+ of her classes and they're always fun, varied, and challenging. She creates a supportive environment, encourages growth, and keeps things fresh each week. Her TRX class is one of my all-time favorites. Anel - My first-ever Pilates instructor and a big reason I stuck with it. She teaches a more classical style and clearly explains form and function, which built my confidence early on. Consistent warmups, always-changing flows, and uplifting energy that carries you through class. Jenni G. - A newer instructor to me and now a weekly favorite. She's super attentive (always remembers my lower back issue), offers great modifications, and gives cues that just click. Her flow and TRX classes are fun, challenging, and set to great music. A great pick for beginners or anyone leveling up. Stacy C. - Somehow both challenging and calming. She has a peaceful, encouraging presence and checks in with everyone during class with gentle corrections and praise. I love how she weaves in anatomy and form education--her classes fill up for a reason. Jade (Front Desk - La Mesa) - Truly deserves a shout-out. She keeps the studio welcoming, remembers everyone by name, celebrates milestones, and handles hiccups during classes with total grace. Her seasonal decorations and positive energy make La Mesa feel special.

Although they were really big on making sure you have grippy socks (I think they left two VMs about it and texted twice), other than that, it was pretty seamless: I signed up, showed up, and they did not try to sell me on anything. I took the class, and they did a 2 minute speal after, but they let everyone leave when it was over, and there was no pressure to buy a package, which I really appreciated. In sum, the study is very clean, the instructor was very nice, and I really enjoyed the class. If I didn't have access to free pilates, I might be interested.

It's as if a water station is not a normal thing at a work out studio so I don't understand the attitude in the response. They probably wanted me to buy their water which I can understand, however it was the attitude given to me that bothered me. I took a break outside of the class and there were other girls outside taking a break as well, indicating that they had empty water bottles and the heat was too much for them but they didn't have any water. I gave more stars than I wanted because of the instructor, Sam. She was so nice and accommodating and I loved her energy. Everyone in the front is incredibly friendly, at least during my visits. I'm completely new to yoga, and when I took my first class, I was quite nervous because I had limited experience with the Bikram method. However, Maho took her time at the beginning of class to explain it to me, and even after class, she spoke to me to provide feedback and answer any questions I may have had.

I definitely have enjoyed coming to this gym for the past 3 years as a student. I really like how big the gym is, it has two floors, and they also have areas where you can lift and also join to do classes. The one thing I dislike and lost a star was that it can get VERY overpacked, and that they don't have enough machines for this. There is way too much people waiting on the one machine they have, valley enough treadmills for the amount of students that attend this school. They always run out of paper towels especially when it gets done to the evening crowd. I'd definitely recommend attending an evening time for the gym

The facility upgrades are fantastic, but it's sad that the facilities are no long open 24 hours! I assume it's to allow staff to deep clean the place? There are two main gripes I have about the ARC: 1. The students need to learn how to rerack their dang weights. 2. On weekend nights sometimes the walkways are cluttered with hot dog stands -- including in the bike path near the arena and the ramp to the gym. I don't remember that being an issue pre-COVID. I bike to the ARC to avoid parking, but having to navigate my bike around hot dog carts in a thoroughfare is annoying.
