Love West Coast!! All the instructors are top notch and really make the work outs fun!

I travel from Hillcrest to La Mesa just to do Pilates here because they are so wonderful. Every instructor has been great. I mostly take class with Kristy and Veronica and they are straight up AMAZING. I can't believe how they make the exercises so targeted and provide such a workout while still making it fun and the time pass so quickly! It really is an awesome skill. I go there multiple times a week and astounded how they still keep it so fresh and help me keep me in the work. Highly recommend this studio. read more

I've been really happy with this studio. Everyone is friendly and welcoming, and it has a much more relaxed, approachable vibe than a lot of other gyms and Pilates studios I've been to. The instructors are great and they're knowledgeable, encouraging, and always willing to help if you have questions or need a modification. I never feel intimidated coming to class, and it's been a really positive place to work out. Definitely recommend if you're looking for a supportive Pilates studio. read more

Ever since I started going to West Coast Pilates postpartum, I've been so excited with the support and progress I've made. It's been exactly what I needed for this stage of recovery, encouraging, patient, and effective. Special shoutout to Veronica! She's taught me the fundamentals of Pilates and was so patient with me, and her fire playlists make every class more fun. Highly recommend if you're looking for a studio that genuinely cares about your progress. read more

This studio and its instructors are amazing! I can't get enough of Veronica, Kristy, and Ellie's morning classes. I've been going here daily for over a year, and my mental and physical health have improved so much in that time. I have more awareness of my body, and I've built muscles I didn't know existed. The community is so supportive and friendly. Very beginner friendly with lots of class options as you gain strength and endurance. read more

This is the best studio I've tried-the instructors are amazing and knowledgeable and classes are challenging and fun!!

Love all the instructors. I learn so many things about form, and muscles. The comradary in the studio feels so inclusive. People are so friendly! read more

West Coast Pilates Center is a wonderful location for classical Pilates classes! All of the instructors are kind and knowledgeable, and really get to know their students. Classes vary in difficulty, but everyone can find something for them and listening to your body is always encouraged! read more

West Coast Pilates Centre is an outstanding studio with experienced, well versed instructors keen to reading the skill level of the room and challenging us accordingly. I am so appreciative of the feedback I receive to better my form and get the most from my workout. Everyday is new in terms of different series and challenges so it doesn't get redundant. I have been attending since 2019 and I feel healthier, stronger, and more confident in my mind and body. It is definitely a daily part of how I set my intentions to begin my day! Thank you everyone at West Coast Pilates Centre! read more

I joined West Coast Pilates Center 5 years ago, after moving to this area. It has been life changing for me. First of all, Kristy, Veronica & Natalie have been epic instructors. Somehow, no two classes are ever the same; I feel stretched out & feel my muscles at work. I have made many new friends there & always look forward to my workout. I can't recommend this studio any more! read more

I love West Coast Pilates Centre for so many reasons. The instructors are fantastic, the studio is clean, the equipment is well maintained, and the members are super friendly. This studio makes everyone feel welcomed and provides a new challenge with every class! read more

Today took a Barre class today and it was tough. I Felt like I really challenged myself. The Class instructor was Natalie who did an amazing job, and was working out right along us. Love this Pilates center. read more

I joined the studio in 2022 after trying classes at several different studios, and I found West Coast Pilates to be the best in terms of both the quality of instruction and the value for the price. The training is consistently excellent, and the pricing is very reasonable. I highly recommend it to anyone looking for a great Pilates studio. read more

I took a set of classes here through Groupon and the studio is absolutely one of the best I've seen. It smells good. It has good energy, good teachers, nice equipment, and gives you a challenging yet appropriate workout. The only thing that I would say is a problem is that the parking lot can get crowded during certain times due to the restaurant and the bar and the other yoga studio that are in the same parking lot. If you get there early, you can find parking and if not, nearby on the street. I highly recommend! read more

I took a beginner class with Kristen. It was of course slower pace and she offered corrections when needed but I found her transitions/ flow a little confusing at times but she was very helpful in ensuring everyone had proper form. The studio is spacious, I forgot socks so I appreciated that there were free socks to borrow! read more

I previously went to thisvstudio back in 2023 with Jacquie, Stevie, Sam, Kristy and Merilee as my main instructors. After taking a loooong break, I am now back and see that WCPC has added Veronica. I have had amazing experiences each time I've come to work out here and it is one of my favorite pilates places in town. I have done Beginning and Intermidiate/All Level classes. Honestly, the exercises initially don't feel like mich and then you're sweating buckets at the end!!! A very welcoming enviroment and supportive instrucgors that really emphasize breathing and form. read more

Started in May 2024. Still in Beginner mode with some overlap into Enhanced. Love the variety of moves for strength, flexibility and overall well-being. My core strength has developed nicely. Didn't really have that to begin with - now there it si! Each instructor has their own style and focus and I like that. My work schedule steers me to the late afternoon/early evening classes with Andrew, Katy, & Chelsea. With a sprinkling of Johanna & Maita on Friday mid-days and weekends. Thanks for providing consistent, knowledgeable staff and a great variety of moves. :-) Yeehaw! read more

I love West Coast Pilates Center. All the instructors are wonderful and very helpful with technique and workout options.

I'm writing this on behalf of a friend, who, on her first visit there, was made to feel unwelcome and even though she bought a package of classes, won't be back. The instructor was mean, just to sum it up. My friend witnessed her sarcastically berate pp when they needed form correction. My friend described being talked to in a condescending tone of voice and not even being acknowledged when she walked in. It was an unwelcoming environment. Contrast this with the gym I attend, where the instructor smiles and hugs you when you walk in and when you leave. I feel like the instructor here has some personal issues to work on and brings her own unhappiness to work. If you look at other reviews, there are others who say something similar. Life's too short and we work too hard for our money to spend it in a toxic environment. read more

Had a great experience with Bianca , she really does set the mood with music , her mic , she's fast but it's so she keeps you flowing Seamlessly from one exercise to another . She knowledgeable and fun , and time just flies. She will correct you when she sees fit, she's a solid choice . read more

This is the only studio that has reformer pilates in the area right now! Hadn't been to a pilates class since pre-covid, the studio is large, extremely clean and well managed. The reformers are spaced far apart, cleaning protocols could not be better! On another note, my abs are so sore I can barely get off the sofa. I enjoyed the class very much and will return on a regular basis :) read more

Best Pilates studio I ever been to! Great mix of instructors that each offer their own unique style and music playlist

This is my favorite pilates studio! I originally came when I bought a few classes off Groupon. I enjoyed it so much I decided to buy a membership! Kristy is such a fun coach! She plays great music, pushes us, shows and demonstrates each exercise, and corrects if we're doing anything incorrect. I've taken classes with Anel and merilee as well, they sure know how to kick your butt.! The studio is a small boutique studio, it's so cute and everyone is so friendly read more

A chronic lower back injury led to a WCPC referral. Having never before taking a Pilates class, I went in with an open mind and a bit of trepidation. Because I've tried acupuncture, therapy and chiropractic care without desired relief, I also had low expectations. Well, four classes later my back has not felt this good in many weeks. The focus on stretching and core work is exactly what I need. While conventional wisdom would say to stick with the same instructor you like , I've had a different one for every class and they all have been excellent. They are a great crew! The other members have been friendly, supportive and helpful. Highly recommend West Coast Pilates Centre. read more

Great studio! Clean and convenient location. Instructors are knowledgeable and helpful! Check it out.

After just a few classes, I'm addicted. Fair warning, you will be too and your thighs will hate you for it. All these ladies are amazing! So far I've taken their Reformer 1 class and their Bar Fusion. My first class with Sarah was the best introduction to pilates. She starts off the class by asking what we want to focus the most on. She mixes the class with the reformer machine, evil resistance objects (yes evil), the bar and mat. She really hits every point when attending her class. My back, shoulders, inner thighs and chest were crying for sure. Plus I like her choice of music. My second class was with Melissa. She's fantastic! She uses the reformer machine and makes sure you're properly hitting each move, muscle and stretch. A great class to attend as well if you're new to pilates and strictly want to use the reformer machine. Now for my one and only bar fusion class, I had Margot as a teacher. This tiny little lady is filled power. She kicks your ass in this class! Not for the faint of heart for sure. If you think you're strong, she'll prove you wrong. She likes to use the resistance band from Hell and weights. Grab the 2lb'er on this one because it ends up being heavier than it sounds. You HAVE to take at least one of her classes in your package. After three instructors and three classes, I know I chose the right studio. Thanks Groupon and Yelp! Now get your workout on! read more

I came to classes here through a Groupon. I like the large studio space. It's calm and quiet and clean. Each teacher tends to have a different style, so one instructor's Level 2 might be another's 2.7. And, if you are not a big fan of one, you will likely find another instructor who suits you much better. My favorite is Heather but I've had good experiences with all the classes I tried out. read more

I love this studio! There is great freeway access and it's always very clean. I've taken a couple classes with Kimberly and she is the BEST! The schedule makes it easy for anyone to find a class that works for you, and Kimberly offers modifications throughout to help participants stay on track. I bought a 5 pack of beginner classes and it was a great deal. I'm hooked now! read more

I really love this pilates studio! Heather, the owner, is very knowledgable in classical pilates. My other favorite instructors are Julie and Rebecca who both are great and motivating! I love that there is always parking and it is conveniently right off the freeway. My only complaint is that the instructors aren't as hands on with form and adjustments as I have had at other studios. read more

I love this studio! It's never boring or the same. All of the instructors are great and and keep the classes challenging. They adjust the moves according to your level and are very helpful. I especially like the fact that they keep you on track with reminders about your core, breathing and making sure you do the excercises correctly. I've found out I have muscles that I didn't even know existed! The studio is clean and the equipment is in good working condition. Scheduling is easily done on their website. I've never been a big workout person, but absolutely love Pilates and this studio. It's hard to pick a favorite instructor because they are all great. They all continue their education and attend other classes and workshops to keep up to date. read more

If I could give this place zero stars I would. I have never felt so unwelcome before. This was my first time in this facility so I went with one of my friends, we were both so excited to try it out. From the beginning we both felt like we were given the cold shoulder. The instructor Jacquie did not greet us at all and when asked about purchasing socks, she was very dry and short. In general, Jacquie was very unapproachable and rude. She knew it was our first time in the class and did not bother to correct us or interact with us during the class like she did with everyone else. My friend went to the bathroom mid-class, so as expected she was a bit behind when she came back. The instructor yelled the instructions at my friend (more than once) across the room, instead of calmly walking over and helping her without disrupting the whole class. It was genuinely humiliating, even for me, and I wasn't being yelled at. She also scolded the whole class for not doing an exercise correctly, so she had one of her more veteran students demonstrate the "correct" way to do it. After the scolding, you would think we would have gotten a chance to "redeem" ourselves and do it again, right? Well wrong. We moved on to the next exercise as if nothing happened. Lastly, at the end of the class the instructor came up to both my friend and I, and told us, "for future reference, please sign up for our more beginner class because this class is clearly too advanced for you both and it's for safety purposes." This truly infuriated us because not once did the instructor come over to tell us what we were doing wrong or what we could have done differently. If it was genuinely about our safety, why didn't she come over to guide us during the class as to not endanger ourselves? My friend and I genuinely didn't think the class was hard as we have done pilates before, just not at this location. We came in with high hopes and left extremely disappointed, we definitely won't be coming back. read more

Traffic and parking are a real issue on the weekends, particularly on Sundays. Be prepared to start your workout early and hike from home, if you live close enough. Unfortunately, I do not. Also, be very CAREFUL when purchasing a Groupon to this studio. They will not let you use it even if you have stepped a toe in before as a gift or guest. Even though the Groupon states that you can purchase it if you haven't purchased within a year; that is very misleading. If you have even taken a class, you are not allowed to use or redeem this coupon. Good to know. Groupon was very helpful with the refund, but it was rather annoying. So, buyer beware. Just an opportunity to try out one of many other beautiful pilates studios around San Diego. Gifts are everywhere, if you know how to spot them. read more

-Open, roomy studio. Plenty of room between reformers to maneuver comfortably. -Cute, clean studio. -Bathroom in the back, decorated super cute. -Ample parking. Sometimes the lot gets full but theres also street spots available. -They use Mrs Meyers cleaning products for members to wipe down machines...I love that brand :) -Toe socks are encouraged but NOT required, which I appreciate. -Towels offered in case you forget your own. -During some classes, some instructors offer an essential oil spritz on your towel for an added mood boost :) -Some of the instructors werent my fave, but all seemed to know what they were doing. Out of three pilates studios I have tried in SD, this one is probably my fave and might be the one I end up buying a membership to. read more

I am still quite in love with WCPC - I took about 2-1/2 months off after finding out I was pregnant and recently started coming back after gaining back some energy. That break sure is felt each time I attend a class - feels like the first time all over again! I have to give some major props to the newly-added Ultra-Barre class (taught by Margot) - WHOA! Holy cow, WHOA! Went for the first time lastnight (Level 1) and was NOT disappointed in the slightest - she did the moves along with us and kicked our butts like I was not expecting. I had to take multiple breaks/pauses (embarassing, but soitgoes) and by the time I got home, I couldn't lift my arms up at all. What a workout. I look forward to being able to keep up in that class better than my showing last night, and am not surprised to see it halfway full already a week in advance. Otherwise, the other classes are still, of course, wonderful - I had to mention how awesome this addition is in case anyone was wondering about Barre - it will make you sweat and shake and feel it later. Nice! read more
