I love going to Pure Barre! The staff at this location is so nice and welcoming and my favorite instructor so far is Maggie A. Pure barre has an app that you can use to schedule and check the classes offered. They do offer a free foundations class, which was really cool. Parking can be hard to find if you go on a busy weekend/time. They do have limited free parking garage spots, or you can park on the street. Definitely recommend checking them out!

Where the Parking Is. 6th (either direction) to Upas to 5th to Walnut.
Street and garage parking on Walnut.

Ask the Community - Pure Barre San Diego | Hillcrest

How is parking near the studio?

Great question, especially in the Hillcrest area. We actually have free client parking behind the studio in the parking garage. To access the garage, when coming up 5th Ave, take your first left at the light passed the studio, and take a left down…

5 Stars for Alba! I…read moretook Alba's group Pilates class last week and wow -- she is truly something special. Her cueing was so clear and intuitive that I finally felt my feet-to-heel connection in a way I've never experienced before. It completely changed how I moved through the exercises and left me feeling grounded, aligned, and so much more aware of my body. Alba has this calm yet confident presence that makes the whole room feel supported. She pays attention to the little details, gives hands-on guidance when needed, and somehow manages to make a group class feel personalized. I walked out feeling longer, stronger, and genuinely inspired. If you're looking for an instructor who knows her craft and helps you tap into those deeper Pilates connections, go to Alba's class. She's amazing.

Anyone who has had a baby knows that it can do a number on your pelvic floor. Not giving away too much detail, I was in great need of some strengthening in my pelvic floor. I have been religious about my time with Studio Flo because I want to ensure I have a strong foundation, especially as I enter menopause. Every single woman, babies or babies, requires special attention to their pelvic floor once menopause hits. In the last several months I have seen a true difference in my function as my previous symptoms have lessen. This is all thanks to the teachers at Studio Flo who have a deep understanding of the human anatomy and what it takes to strengthen from within. They have spent the time correcting my form and going the extra step to explain and show things when I needed the extra help. I cannot recommend Studio Flo enough. It got me back to feeling like myself again. Thank you for providing a studio filled with teachers who have been trained by the best

As someone who tried every "organized exercise" option in the area, I'm so glad to have landed on Barre3 - the classes are challenging enough for someone who's done this for years, but accessible enough for someone like me, who came in having never participated in any team or sport or athletic...anything...ever!

Gorgeous new studio, same amazing Barre3 energy!…read more I'm so excited about the new Barre3 Mission Hills studio that recently took over the former Studio Barre location--and WOW, they've completely transformed the space! The design is absolutely beautiful. From the moment you walk in, it feels like a calming, zen retreat. The lobby is spacious with a friendly front desk team, a cubby area for your things, and lots of cute Barre3 swag to browse (and yes, I've already been tempted). The studio itself is bright and airy, with big mirrors so you can check in on your form throughout class. They've outfitted it with brand-new equipment and even the weights are color-coordinated in earthy tones of brown, orange, and red--so aesthetically pleasing! While the current floors can be a bit slippery (grip socks are required), they're in the process of replacing them with cork flooring like the North Park studio, which I'm really looking forward to. It's been great to see some of the former Studio Barre instructors stay on--they're all fantastic--and I love seeing familiar faces from the North Park instructor team popping up on the schedule too. I'm especially excited for the upcoming addition of Strength and Cardio classes to mix things up even more. And the parking situation is a dream compared to most studios in San Diego. There's metered street parking available, but the real perk is being able to use the garage by Vons on the corner--such a game-changer for busy days. I officially switch my membership over to this studio next week, and I couldn't be more excited. Barre3 Mission Hills is off to an incredible start and I can already tell it's going to be my new home base for movement, strength, and community!

Through our one-on-one reformer and Pilates chair workouts, Lani meticulously tailored each session to target my needs. Her studio space is clean and relaxing, her expertise and personalized approach in Yoga and Pilates sculpt sessions as well as the incorporation of low-impact cardio on the springboard was always challenging, and I loved the blend of strength training to get the toning and muscular definition I wanted. Adding a touch of magic to my bridal journey, Lani organized a private Yoga and Pilates class for my bachelorette party. It was the perfect blend of fun, relaxing, and bonding with my closest friends, setting the tone for a memorable and meaningful celebration. Her ability to cater to a group while making everyone feel individually supported and included was remarkable. Not only did I walk down the aisle free from back pain and with the toned physique I had dreamed of, but I also carried with me a sense of accomplishment and empowerment.
