Great class selection. Great group of people. Inexpensive and lots of fun! They even have a free book exchange library.

I like the central location to East County and other areas, the diversity, the upper story. The building used to be a movie theater! Came here after a summer job in a warehouse. I wanted the compliments to continue. The goal was just to work out. But I keep coming back for other reasons. Or if my sister nags me to. As all the superb staff know, it gets busy at this location. Bicycle class with Lupe keeps me active Monday, Gentle Yoga with Dalal is amazing. Gotta hand it to Jose for helping out and managing things to help us enjoy the gym better. Appreciate Jess for the friendly customer service. I really hate to name drop. But in general, the staff make you feel like a rockstar. As you age you become the difficult customer you dealt with when you were younger (or not that much). Thanks for the attention, thank you all gym staff, Alex. Also to all gym staff past and present. As I've gained weight and my back tightened I've moved to the bicycles more. That all could change. Yoga/stretching helps. I've tried some new machines and exercises. Gave up some. Earbuds go in so I don't stare at you. Music really helps to get lost in and motivate the workout. Say "what's up" if you can, mention the Yelp review. I highly recommend CHUZE if you want an affordable gym in the La Mesa / Lemon Grove region.

They have a wide variety of machines and free weights. Yes, it gets busy on week nights, but what gym doesn't? You'll always find parking-- it might just be a little further than you wanted, but you're going to the gym anyways, a little bit of extra walking won't hurt. No other gym compares, not even the other Chuze locations. This one is truly the best. I lived 5 minutes away from the Mission Valley location for a while and I still made the 15 minute drive to the La Mesa one every workout. Shoutout to the yoga instructor, Kris and cycling instructor, Paul D.! My favorite classes by far.

As someone who has been…read moredoing group fitness training for a few years now at a variety of gyms, I have to say that P360 is the best gym that I have ever been to. This is the first time that I can honestly say that I have seen not only an improvement in my physique, but an overall improvement in my cardiovascular health and overall improvement in my strength and endurance. The coaches at this gym have legitimate experience in coaching. The coaches here take their work really seriously and make a serious effort to correct form during the classes, and ensure that you are performing the movement correctly. They don't mess around, and make the environment so welcoming and comfortable. P360 even gives you access to nutrition resources by their nutrition coaches. The workouts are strategically planned out, usually up to a couple weeks out in advance. Very organized, to ensure that no matter what day you go, you will be getting a legitamte workout. I love that on the app you can see what the workouts are going to be for the week and it doesn't matter which P360 location you end up being a member at, the workouts are going to be the exact same for all the locations. And if you are someone who is new to fitness, new to using the kind of weights and barbells that are used here, there's no need to be intimidated by it. There are people of ALL ages at this gym and ALL kinds of fitness levels. They make it easy to modify some of the workouts if you have some limitations. Prior to becoming a member at P360, I was going to a lot of random studios off of ClassPass. So I feel like I have a lot of group fitness gyms to compare it too. 10/10 recommend P360.

I enjoy the structure of the class and that coaches will demonstrate alternative exercises. The gym itself is clean and everyone does their part to keep it that way. I didn't know if I would like the whole group workout or partner but I've grown to like it. One of the perks is their water dispenser always so clean and cold at the end of a workout. Another cool feature is the performance 360 application where I can track my weight count per exercise and reps and for being only 1 month I am seeing some progress and also better energy levels. So to me it has been worth the investment I will continue to attend Try a free class and take advantage of first month deal and seek those gains!!

She is a member in the Bay Area and was visiting San Diego, so we decided to do a class together. The staff was superb and very friendly! Carissa helped me get checked in at the front and explained the heart rate monitor and how class will go. The coach helped me before class started to talk about my fitness goals and teach me how to use the rower, which I had never tried before. I was a bit intimidated at first because OTF seemed intense, but I ended up really liking the environment. The coach showed us all the moves, had a really upbeat vibe, and pushed us when he saw we could do more. The exercises were easy to follow and were easy to view on the TV screens. Half the class was weights and rower, and the second half was cardio on the treadmill. You could walk, jog, or run, and increase by incline or speed. I did a jogging pace of 4mph and increased to 5/6. It was really interesting to see my heart rate on the screen. Overall, it was a really fulfilling workout and I had a lot of fun!! I snapped a pic of the membership prices. I haven't decided if I will move forward with a membership, but I am highly considering it because of the awesome staff and motivating environment!

The studio is spotless and the the owners Nicole and Lauri are outstanding; they know your name, they acknowledge that you are there, they make you feel valued and they start and end the class on time. AND MOST IMPORTANTLY THE OWNERS ARE PASSIONATE ABOUT TEACHING CLASSES AND MAKING EVERYONE FEEL THEY ARE PART OF A HEALTH AND FITNESS COMMUNITY AND ZUMBA IS THEIR PASSION AND THEY ARE NOT DISTRACTED BY WORKING IN OTHER FIELDS. Nicole and Lauri teach many of the classes and they are fresh and ready to teach unlike some of the part-time instructors who work for other fitness and dance centers who drag themselves into the studio after performing work for another company . Nicole and Lauri are not like the part-time or burned out instructors who arrive late, end the session early and often don't seem to want to teach the class, rather they want to be home - and/or any place but teaching Zumba. The Move Fitness and Dance instructors never embarrass the students and, unlike some fitness and dance centers they never yell out corrections to students in front of the class. There are not enough words to express how great the Move Fitness & Dance studio is and if you haven't tried a class - I recommend you do. Excellent job - Nicole and Lauri.

Now - The gym is always in new multiple ownership hands and has been a revolving door for owners since ~2021. Unfortunately this has caused a lot of growing pains. You can see they're trying but just keep missing the marks. The gym is typically unclean. Notifications - They will not cover all grounds... i.e. a text (that people have opted out on for a cancelled class), an instagram story post - when not everyone is on social media....etc. Hours - continuously changing & dwindling - 5am/9am/noon/430pm/530pm/sometimes a 630 could be olympic lifting, could be open gym, could not be a class time... depends on the season and day of the week, for ~$160/month Coaches - Most are friendly & enthusiastic with a knowledgable drive to help. Although once you've been around the gym long enough, most stop coaching you. They become tunnel focused on a few individuals in class. Have had owners & other coaches cop passive aggressive attitudes & comments for no reason. Owners & coaches have been known to discuss business or speak illy of drop-ins, members, previous members, or other owners during business hours & directly in front of the individual as if they are not present. Administrative owners will write notes & keep unprofessional tabs on clients via their Wodify (software program) account to include information about the client's personal life & the way that admin owner personally feels about that client. Owners watch cameras to a neurotic point & if you forget to check into a class...they'll go back, watch the camera tapes & reading the boards (both - because sometimes you might just be doing open gym & not have your name on the board) & then check you into the class(es) days/ a week later.

After dropping into a few other gyms, my first day at Kivnon was nothing but a welcoming experience. The class times range from 5am to 7pm, also offering extra classes such as Olympic Lifting, Mobility, and Gymnastics for members! Here are a few things that make Crossfit Kivnon my second home with my second family: 1. The Coaches- all at different levels of Crossfit. All coaches are welcoming, and help new members and seasoned members perfect their craft. The best part about the coaching staff at Kivnon is everyone comes from all walks of life, and each of them motivate each individual to become BETTER. 2. The Members- I remember my first class. During the start of class, I was introduced to the entire class, and had hello's flying at me left and right. I didn't feel intimidated, and that's a huge barrier as to why some people are afraid to start Crossfit. You won't be afraid here. Some of the members are now my best friends, and I couldn't imagine my life without them. 3. Crossfit Kids Classes- Parents: If your children want to work out too, Kivnon is the place to be! There are classes specifically for kids, and all of them look to always have tons of fun. 4. Great Social Atmosphere- Not only do we have the ability to become better athletes, Kivnon members are family. The Box hosts holiday parties, events within the community, (beach WOD's, attending concerts together, Spartan/Tough Mudder Races). All of the members take care of each other, as well as have fun together. 5. FREE CLASSES- Yes, FREE! Every Saturday at 9am, Kivnon gives the public the opportunity to come and work out for free. It's always a fun, uplifting time. I've brought many of my friends to the class, and they have enjoyed it. Some of them still come every Saturday. I love this gym. I love everything about it. Crossfit has changed my life. If you're thinking about trying Crossfit and you live in or near the La Mesa area, start here! Reach out via the website, or just pop in and say hi!
