Wow ! What a hidden gem.. Clean, quiet and most congenial friendly staff. Absolutely low key, no hype or pressure. Work at your own pace or take their classes. The Aqua fit water aerobics are awesome fun. Personal trainers available. Surrounded by Beautiful park .

This is a small YMCA but it's great! Our family loves coming here for classes for the kids as well as the adults.

The equipment and facility is out dated. They need to update the equipment and get rid of some staff members.

New review! Favor to everyone and myself to keep it simple. I became a member October 4, 2022. I've…read morebeen a member all that time, I actually upgraded my membership. I like the central location to East County and other areas, the diversity, the upper story. The building used to be a movie theater! Came here after a summer job in a warehouse. I wanted the compliments to continue. The goal was just to work out. But I keep coming back for other reasons. Or if my sister nags me to. As all the superb staff know, it gets busy at this location. Bicycle class with Lupe keeps me active Monday, Gentle Yoga with Dalal is amazing. Gotta hand it to Jose for helping out and managing things to help us enjoy the gym better. Appreciate Jess for the friendly customer service. I really hate to name drop. But in general, the staff make you feel like a rockstar. As you age you become the difficult customer you dealt with when you were younger (or not that much). Thanks for the attention, thank you all gym staff, Alex. Also to all gym staff past and present. As I've gained weight and my back tightened I've moved to the bicycles more. That all could change. Yoga/stretching helps. I've tried some new machines and exercises. Gave up some. Earbuds go in so I don't stare at you. Music really helps to get lost in and motivate the workout. Say "what's up" if you can, mention the Yelp review. I highly recommend CHUZE if you want an affordable gym in the La Mesa / Lemon Grove region.

They have a wide variety of machines and free weights. Yes, it gets busy on week nights, but what gym doesn't? You'll always find parking-- it might just be a little further than you wanted, but you're going to the gym anyways, a little bit of extra walking won't hurt. No other gym compares, not even the other Chuze locations. This one is truly the best. I lived 5 minutes away from the Mission Valley location for a while and I still made the 15 minute drive to the La Mesa one every workout. Shoutout to the yoga instructor, Kris and cycling instructor, Paul D.! My favorite classes by far.

Performance360 - La Mesa

I've been a member at Performance 360 La Mesa for over four months now. As someone who has been…read moredoing group fitness training for a few years now at a variety of gyms, I have to say that P360 is the best gym that I have ever been to. This is the first time that I can honestly say that I have seen not only an improvement in my physique, but an overall improvement in my cardiovascular health and overall improvement in my strength and endurance. The coaches at this gym have legitimate experience in coaching. The coaches here take their work really seriously and make a serious effort to correct form during the classes, and ensure that you are performing the movement correctly. They don't mess around, and make the environment so welcoming and comfortable. P360 even gives you access to nutrition resources by their nutrition coaches. The workouts are strategically planned out, usually up to a couple weeks out in advance. Very organized, to ensure that no matter what day you go, you will be getting a legitamte workout. I love that on the app you can see what the workouts are going to be for the week and it doesn't matter which P360 location you end up being a member at, the workouts are going to be the exact same for all the locations. And if you are someone who is new to fitness, new to using the kind of weights and barbells that are used here, there's no need to be intimidated by it. There are people of ALL ages at this gym and ALL kinds of fitness levels. They make it easy to modify some of the workouts if you have some limitations. Prior to becoming a member at P360, I was going to a lot of random studios off of ClassPass. So I feel like I have a lot of group fitness gyms to compare it too. 10/10 recommend P360.

I enjoy the structure of the class and that coaches will demonstrate alternative exercises. The gym itself is clean and everyone does their part to keep it that way. I didn't know if I would like the whole group workout or partner but I've grown to like it. One of the perks is their water dispenser always so clean and cold at the end of a workout. Another cool feature is the performance 360 application where I can track my weight count per exercise and reps and for being only 1 month I am seeing some progress and also better energy levels. So to me it has been worth the investment I will continue to attend Try a free class and take advantage of first month deal and seek those gains!!

She is a member in the Bay Area and was visiting San Diego, so we decided to do a class together. The staff was superb and very friendly! Carissa helped me get checked in at the front and explained the heart rate monitor and how class will go. The coach helped me before class started to talk about my fitness goals and teach me how to use the rower, which I had never tried before. I was a bit intimidated at first because OTF seemed intense, but I ended up really liking the environment. The coach showed us all the moves, had a really upbeat vibe, and pushed us when he saw we could do more. The exercises were easy to follow and were easy to view on the TV screens. Half the class was weights and rower, and the second half was cardio on the treadmill. You could walk, jog, or run, and increase by incline or speed. I did a jogging pace of 4mph and increased to 5/6. It was really interesting to see my heart rate on the screen. Overall, it was a really fulfilling workout and I had a lot of fun!! I snapped a pic of the membership prices. I haven't decided if I will move forward with a membership, but I am highly considering it because of the awesome staff and motivating environment!

Fit Societe has gone through a LOT of effort to be welcoming, and encourage their members to keep coming back for classes at any of their 3 locations. I have been going for several months now, and it has been great. They are very accommodating in their workouts based on your goals and/or injuries you might have. I have been to other similar gyms, but generally never made it past 3 months due to injuries. Here they are able to push you and help you achieve your goals, while at the same time keeping you healthy and wanting to come back. The instructors have all been great as well! Classes are for anyone regardless of their fitness and skill level. You have never set foot in a gym, they modify the workout to fit your needs. You are a college athlete, they can modify the workout to challenge you. Have a career that involves a lot of physical activity, they can modify the workout to fit your goals. If you cannot tell by now I highly recommend Fit Societe no matter your fitness needs or goals.
