Wow! Where do I start this day care / preschool has help me grow my children they have been attending Next Generation since 2018 @ the age of 4 years old, now they are turning 5, ready for kindergarten. I wouldn't have sent them anywhere else I actually switch day care to here once i seen how clean and organized friendly loving and caring the staff is, I would highly recommend this day acre to anyone. I remembered the first day I dropped my kids off how worried I was at work which is normal for any parent thinking about my children. But not to worry my kids informed me how fun school was and showed me what they have done they even sing me songs, that reassured me they were in the best care. Not only was this the right choice it was the best timing that worked for me. Early this year I enrolled my baby whom I gave birth to in July I was so anxious to have him attend that we began the process before I gave birth making sure all paper work are completed waiting for him to turn 6 weeks he was introduced to Next Generation, I was pleased with the care and still is, I want to thank everyone but at the top of my list first is Ms. Annie aww she's so understanding and helpful she was the first person I met she is located at the front desk then you have Ms. Kathy who puts up with my twins, I know how difficult toddlers can be at an early age, but she gets the job done with love, I know I have some special ones especially my son he can be a challenge and she has been great with kids no matter the situation, Ms. Mildred has been so good with my kids my daughter looks forward in seen her she says mommy I love her, & for my baby there are so many great teachers in that class oh my I wouldn't want to leave anyone out but thank you to my baby first love besides me of course Ms. Rosa I really love the way she take cares of him not to mention the newest member on the team of Next Generation Ms. Janet I observe her care for him and oh my I love it she is so gentle she make sure before I get there he is clean and his diaper is changed and his bag is packed ready to go, A special thanks to the cook Ms. Maria I always ask my kids what did they eat today and they seem to love it, I must admit my kids are picky eaters not an easy task but you guys get the job done. I want to also thank Lilyan Inas Azra and Ledeya. I love you all for the love you give my children. I mean with great loving staff it makes the operation of the school provide great care. My twins started there a year and a half ago and we have loved it ever since. Lauren and Annie in the offices are amazing; they are organized, super sweet, and are always happy to answer my questions when I call in. My girls started in the 2-3 year old room, and they loved their teachers there. Miss Tayler is awesome, they pretend to be her at home when they pretend play and it is super cute to watch. Miss Justine is another favorite, she is always jumping in and ready to help out and loves the kids so much. Now the girls have Miss Zahara and Miss Zina, and they are amazing. They are super patient with the kids, but know when to stand firm with them too. They really are a great balance for my kiddos, and I am glad they are there to help teach my girls. Miss Kathy and Miss Laura aren't our teachers yet, but they are there every morning when I drop off, and I can't wait until my girls get to go up to their room. They are so fun, sweet, but they push the girls towards independent thinking daily. They are so awesome! I don't see the chef often, but a quick shout out to her as well... Miss Maria, I don't know how you do it, but my kids actually eat there. They don't eat anything for me at home, but they eat the lunches and snacks there everyday. I've tried to copy some of it at home, and still no luck, but thank you for making my kids eat veggies!! Major kudos to you! And I know it seems silly, but Miss Sandra is always taking the big kids out to their schools when I arrive, and she always greets me and says good morning to my kids by name, and it just makes me feel like that place is an extension of my family and my home. They take the time to get to know all of the students and they take the time to make you feel at home and welcomed. Love it! ALL THE STARS!!! My baby started there about 6 months ago, and he is in love with it there! Miss Azra was his favorite from day 1 and she really took care of him, and loved on him helping him feel at home. But Miss Inas never gave up on him, and made sure that he felt comfortable with her and with the school, and he just lights up when he hears her say his name. Now he has Ms Janeth, Miss Maryam, Miss Monica, and Miss Erica, and he just loves being in their classroom. He has learned so much in the last few months, and I am excited to see how much more he learns there. They are truly amazing. From the main staff to the support staff, everyone there is helpful, patient, and truly cares about the littles. It is the best place ever! I recommend to everyone, great great place. read more

I would definitely recommend checking out this facility to anyone looking for good child care and/or preschool. My daughter started here at 8 months old in the Infant Room, which was fantastic and definitely one of the hardest ages to leave your child. However, I never once was nervous or sad dropping her off because I knew she was actually enjoying herself. The girls in there were all so great, giving her the love & attention she needed and would always give me a run down of her day when I picked her up without me even asking. When she turned 1 she moved up to the Toddler Room with Ms. Rita & Ms. Sandra, who she also loved. Now she's 2 and has recently moved into the Voyage Room with Ms. Autumn, Krista, Marni, Julie, and Karina. With all three classes she's learned how to share (great since she's the only child), has developed manners, friendships, her vocabulary has expanded, she recited the ABC's and could count to 10 before age 2!! (which was not my doing) A few other great things about this facility is first how they work with my daughter's needs or where she's at in her development and truly do care/work hard to get her where she needs to be. They understand life can get really busy and not every parent is able to or has the time to work on these things consistently every day like kids need. For example, weaning her off her pacifier, bottle, switching to solid foods, from 2 naps to 1 and even potty training! I also love how the teachers maintain relationships with the kids as they grow up and move into their new rooms. The teachers are always active with high energy, very sweet and are great at communicating anything positive or negative that happens to my daughter, which shows that they pay close attention to each individual child every day. When you come and go the staff at the front is also very nice and welcoming. If there is ever an issue with payments or anything regarding your account they're really accommodating and understanding. What's most fulfilling to me, as a full-time working mom, is having my daughter light up and/or give me a quick hug when we walk in her class so she could sprint to her friends or run to her teachers laps or arms who swoop her up excitedly. Every morning before we leave the house I say "ok you ready to go to school?" and she says "yeah school makes me happy" and I melt. every. single. time. I can honestly say I haven't worried once about her well-being while I'm at work and to me that is worth every single penny plus more. read more

I want to start off by saying how much we love Next Generation! My daughter has been going to Next Gen since she was 14 months and she is now 2 years old. She started in the infant and toddler room with her amazing teachers Ms.Sandra and Ms.Rita. They were always so loving and caring with my daughter. Always such a positive interaction with her and the other kids. She became very attached to her teachers, she would say their names all the time at home. I was so happy with all of the different activities my daughter participated in. When she moved to the 2 year old room, it was sad for her leaving her teachers but I knew she would be in good hands with the teachers in the 2 year old room. Ms.Autumn, Ms.Karina, Ms.Marnie, Ms. Krista and Ms. Julie are all such fantastic teachers. My daughter is always so happy. I love how much they keep those little ones busy all day long. The children seem to have so much fun in that class. She talks about her teachers all the time, their names often come up when she is playing with her toys at home ! Even teachers who were not her classroom teachers have shown so much love for my daughter and have been in care of her, Ms.Alida, Ms. Amber, Ms.Janeth, Ms.Wasan, Ms.Samantha are all so fantastic. We love that she gets big greetings and goodbyes from Ms. Annie, Ms.Laura and Ms. Kathy, who will be her teachers in the next couple of years! They are all so great! The office staff, Ms.Lauren and Ms.Kenzie are just amazing ! They are so helpful, always making sure all of our questions are answered and needs are met.We love being greeted by them every morning and my daughter loves being able to say bye to them everyday ! We have sent both our kids to Next Gen from 12 weeks old up until kindergarten. The staff has been great throughout the last 6 years and our kids have learned a lot. The rooms are separated out by baby, 1 year olds (walking), 2 year olds, etc. all the way to school age. The kids get breakfast (if they are there early), snacks, and lunch. There is a door code, cameras in each of the rooms, and a large outdoor play area for the kids to play on. There is also a parent online portal with an update of the daily activities the kids had, books they read, or topics they are learning about. The additional benefit of a parent's night out every month or so (rotates between the three locations) is also an added benefit that is open for anyone even if the kids are not enrolled. We really have a special place for Miss Annie, Miss Kathy, Miss Laura, and Miss Janeth in our hearts and our children's too :) A special thanks to Miss Maria who makes the snacks and lunches! Seriously though, I am very grateful to have found Next Gen and leaving both babies at 12 weeks to go back to work was difficult. Miss Laura was part of the kids' lives all throughout from the baby room all the way until they left for kindergarten. Absolutely HORRIBLE!!! I called and asked if they are enrolled I was told yes, got all the paper work I filled it out and returned it got the code to the door, gave the a registration check for 100.00 and a check for the 2 days my child will be attending. I take him to the school turns out he's not in the sign in and out sheet, but the teacher says no worries we can take care of that when you pick him up. So when I go pick him up the owner is suprised that he was even there and that they are not taking new students, but her director Lauren who I called and spoke in person with told me they are and rook my paper work, gave me the code to the door and said mon and wed would work for my child to go there. I called them this morning to see what's going on with this whole situation u was told Lauren the director is not in today and they will call her and let me know if there is room for my child. Well I stopped payment on the checks I gave them I'm not paying a registration fee for their mistake and not communicating properly with me. I found another pre school for my child that is awesome and a mistake like this will not be made. Stay away from this place, their own director dosent know what the hell is going on. Oh and the owner was very unprofessional how she handled this situation. read more

Next Generation Daycare was aware they had 15 times the legal allowable amount of lead in their water, and did not notify me of this situation as they are required to by law. This evidence can be found on California's department of Social Services website at the link https://www.ccld.dss.ca.gov/transparencyapi/api/FacilityReports?facNum=376701169&inx=5 Geralyn Windt, Owner of Next Generation was also cited in the news stating that "children only washed their hands with the water" which can be found at this link https://www.kpbs.org/news/local/2023/05/25/high-lead-levels-drinking-water-139-san-diego-child-care-centers This news story that was posted after they had already been proven by the department of social services that children at their Daycare center drank the water. These people do not care about your children's health and knowingly withheld information to retain my business. Please be careful when dealing with this business Exposure to lead can seriously harm a child's health, including damage to the brain and nervous system, slowed growth and development, learning and behavior problems, and hearing and speech problems. read more

We love Next Generation! My daughter attended Next Generation from 18 months old until she went to kindergarten and my son has been there since he was just 3 months old and now he's in the 3 year olds class. Over the years my children have had great experiences with so many staff who have been there for years- Mrs. Samantha, Ms. Sandra, Ms. Karina, Mrs. Kathy, Ms. Laura, Ms. Amber, Ms. Janeth, and Ms. Rita. His teachers now are Ms. Annie and Mrs. Erina and they are awesome! The class is always changing with new and fun activities and my son is so excited to tell me every night about what he did in school. Mrs. Lauren and Ms. Makenzie at the front desk are always so helpful and you can really tell that they put the children and their health and safety first. We love that they provide nutritious meals and both of our children are great eaters thanks to the exposure from their preschool- Ms. Martha is a wonderful cook! We appreciate everyone at this school who has cared for our children over the last 5 years while we work full time! read more

Next Gen has been taking care of my (almost) 4 year old daughter since she was 12 weeks old. We left for a short time to try a different school where some other family members were going but nothing compares to Next Gen! They are so kind and amazing with all of the kids. When my daughter was in the infant classroom she had Ms. Sandra as her teacher and she was so loving and attentive to her. I always felt safe knowing who was taking care of my baby. My daughter still says that, "Ms. Sandra always looks out for me and makes sure I am safe." Since my daughters transition back to Next Gen, Ms. Annie has been amazing and so helpful. My daughter loves her and always makes it a point to stop by and say good bye to "Ms. Annie Princess" every day when she leaves. Transitions are very difficult for my daughter and Ms. Annie has made it a breeze! She is now looking forward to entering Ms. Kathy's class when she turns 4 and we can't wait! This is an update to my previous review from 2016 and if there is 6 stars I would give it to this great team, starting from Ms. Lauren, Ms. Kenzie for leading the dynamics of the center to every single staff member from Next generation. We started with next generation over 4 years ago and can't be more happy with the care and professionalism of the system in place. Kareem started since he was 14 months and now started Kindergarten and I am very happy with his education and learning he got throughout those years, Zane started when he was 4 months and he will be turning 4 years this month, and my princess Judy started this summer and very happy. 2 thumps up to all staff: Annie, Erina, Kathy, Laura, Karina, Autumn, Krista, Rita, Julie, Marni, the lady in the kitchen preparing the healthy yummy meals who is always smiling, whoever chooses the menu, to everyone who take the trash out, clean the sheets and keeping our kids healthy and germ free. Absolutely the best ! I visited 11 preschools prior to selecting this one. Hands down, this preschool is superior. The first positive impression was with admin - Ms Annie and Ms. Lauren . They give the best support and encouragement a parent could ask for. I am amazed when I watch them interact with the kiddos, they personally know each child and are naturals with kids. I am in awe with the caliber of professionals here. I have not met one that was not fabulous. They are so in sync with each other - it's a well oiled wheel here. From the teachers Ms Sarah .Ms. Taylor, and Ms Justine who have helped the kiddos with a tearful separation/adjustment and potty training. They are beyond AWSOME!!!! I just wanted to take the time and show appreciation for some of the teachers at Next Generation Educational and Center in El Cajon. My children have been attending this daycare since my daughter was one years old she is now going on six my son is three years old and he started at four months old. I am not pregnant with my third child who will also be going to daycare when she is born and most likely around six weeks. In the twos class I would like to say thank you to Sarah and Taylor. In the threes class I would like to thank Zahra,In the forest class I would like to think Laura and Kathy and I would like to think that cook Maria and a few other teachers which is Janeth Mildred and Rita. But most of all I would like to thank Lauren and Auntie which are the directors have Next Generation educational center in El Cajon. My son has been in Next Generation for about 2 years. He is now in the Voyage Classroom with Ms. Zahra, who in such a short time has taught him so much. I volunteered at the Halloween festival last year. Everyone was very welcoming and allowed me to participate in the events they had planned for the kids. Ms.Lauren and Ms.Annie were super friendly and nice. I really loved the way the teachers were interacting with the kids. There was lots of laughter and happiness going around from the teachers and students and even the parents. Everyone seemed like a big happy family and I was really glad I went through that experience and would do it again if I had the time. My daughter who is almost 2 years old and been with next generation since she was 6 months old. My family and I love this place because all the staff members have so good to my baby with all her needs! Inas, Azra, Lilyan, Rosa, Maryam, Erica, Monica, Janeth, Maria the awesome chef, Annie, and Lauren have all been active in my baby girl's life as she's there all day and every time I pick her up to come home, she's always happy and eager for me to hug her. Also, her vocab is expanding and she does silly things that make me laugh with so much love. I feel safe she is safe and especially cared for. Thank you everyone!! My child has been going here now for over a year and I have nothing but fabulous things to say about this preschool! Lauren and Annie, director and assistant director respectively, are always available for any questions or concerns. The center is always clean and sanitary. I want to recognize the awesome support staff Sandra, Ledeya, Danielle, Rita, and Deidra. My child is in the toddler room and absolutely adores Ms. Maryam, Ms. Erica, Ms. Monica, and Ms. Jeanette. When it came to choosing a school for our son, we had heard so many good things about Next Generation from friends. So we already felt comfortable with our decision to enroll him in the school. Well after almost a year in enrollment, we feel we couldn't have made a better choice for our son. The facilty is really nice and clean and the location for us is very convenient. His teacher, Ms. Erina is such an amazing educator! She is so caring and attentive to his needs, and give us feedback on a daily basis, without having to pry it out of her. You can tell that she has a lot of experience. She has a passion for education and makes us as parents comfortable knowing our son is in good hands with her and the school as a whole. read more
