We had our wedding ceremony at Vineyard Hacienda on November 2024. Joseph did a fantastic job working with us and taking into account our budget. He helped us every step of the way and even provided us with suggestions to improve everything. The location is a hidden gem, and the guests were astounded by how exquisite everything was. The location is surrounded by nature so not much of decoration is actually needed is everything around is beautiful. The staff was incredibly helpful, and everything is really clean. Everyone exceeded expectations.

If your are considering going to this place I can personally vouch that you'll have a Blast! From the friendly staff to beautiful spaces plus the game room by the pool/Jacuzzi this is one of the places I plan on making a yearly visit to. Cheers to Joseph and the Team !

We had our wedding at vineyard hacienda this past weekend and it was great! Joe is easy to work with and he really made the whole wedding planning process a breeze! It's a beautiful space, and he's basically got Everything you could need for an epic party! This place is a gem, Joe is great to work with, I highly recommend Vineyard Hacienda for weddings & events!

Love this place!!! Highly recommend!!! Manager Ronda was such a welcoming host. She gave us a tour. She was very attentive to our needs. Will be returning soon! Very peaceful. Enjoyed the tour of the whole Hacienda. Lovely artwork all around the home. The best part was feeding the Koi Fish! And enjoying a good morning walk.

Do you love a Vintage feel? This place would be wonderful for you especially if you pick the Champagne room. Gorgeous grounds with water fountains all over & unique touches too. It sounded like the couple there was renting it out for their wedding as I was checking in. You don't have to stay here to have an event though as The Create your phase showed. It was amazing to enjoy this place while doing yoga, sound healing, live art group event, individual paint pours, watching fire dancing too! Who knew! I saw the photos and decided to book a staycation. In person it's even more beautiful and how fun to drive over a little bridge to get there on a winding road to a magical place!

My husband took me on a staycation at this lovely hacienda with so much old time charm! Our stay was a whole experience and felt like I was stepping into a time warp of a vintage, romantic Spanish era. Loved how spacious and quiet the property was it felt as if we had the entire place to ourselves. We took advantage of the gorgeous pool area and loved the hot tub. The game room had everything from pool, to air hockey and chess. My favorite part of our visit was the wine cellar where we selected our bottle for the evening. Truly reminded me of a scene out of a poetry book. If you live in San Diego and are looking for a memorable get away in your own backyard, I would 100% recommend visiting this hidden gem!

I took too long to write a review on this hidden gem, located in Rancho San Diego. I'm a local and never knew this place existed. Now that I found it it'll be my new staycation location. With an amazing property, small occupancy (7 themed rooms) , a full kitchen available for use by the guests, fantastic decor and unbelievable staff, this place is truly a hidden paradise with the luxury of a top notch villa, but the coziness of a winter cabin. Weddings, gatherings, any celebration...this is the spot. Did I mentionthe vineyard? Well , you'll get offered a glass of their vino when you walk thru the door. Owner is on property and treats everyone like he truly cares about your experience. I can't say enough about the staff. The gave this place it's fifth star. Thank you Vineyard Hacienda for being my new staycation location. Looking forward to my next stay. Check out these pics....

The Mrs. and I just got back from a two night stay at the Vineyard Hacienda and we Weill definitely be back. We arrived on Tuesday afternoon. The sun was out, there was a slight breeze, birds were chirping, and not another human being in sight. I guess you could say it was Shangri La. Once we arrived, we called the number to check-in and Paris came out to greet us. She gave us a tour of the hacienda and it is a sight to behold. Adobe brick, Spanish tile floors, wrought iron light fixtures, and dark wood paneling lined the interior. You definitely feel like you've stepped back in time....or a Disney Zorro movie. I was expecting Don Diego de la Vega(aka Zorro) to step out on the veranda and welcome us. The grounds are beautiful. There is a small vineyard on the property as well as a Koi pond. A veranda surrounds the hacienda and there are tables and chairs for you to sit and admire the view. A pool and game room are also available. We stayed in the Wedgwood room and a beautiful room it was. tastefully decorated with antique furniture and pictures, dark wood paneling like the rest of the hacienda, and a queen sized bed. The bathroom was pretty large with a walking in shower. The water pressure was kind of weak, but that is to be expected in a older home. The one thing I think might be good is to have a nightlight of some kind in the bathroom. Believe me, with dark wood in the room, you are in pitch black darkness and at night the whole hacienda can be pretty dark on the inside. The Vineyard Hacienda makes there own wine, which Paris gave us a glass of once we settled into our room. I think it was a Merlot and it was very good. There is a wine cellar on the premises which, sadly, we didn't get to see. Locating the Vineyard Hacienda can be a little tricky. There is no sign off of hwy 94 directing you to it. Once you do find the turn off from the road, you drive to the end of this short road to a circular driveway with a giant oak in the center of it. There are signs on the small road directing you to the hacienda.

While checking in for our tee time, a member of our family who holds a Black Card with Sycuan Casino Resort was present. Another member of our party simply suggested contacting the casino host to ask about a potential complimentary round of golf, which is a completely reasonable and common suggestion for Black Card members who spend significant money with Sycuan. Trevor immediately responded in an aggressive and hostile manner. He raised his voice and told our group member that they "didn't know what they were talking about." His tone was confrontational, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. Instead of calmly explaining policy or offering assistance, he chose to belittle a guest in front of others and continued displaying a negative attitude toward our entire party. There is absolutely no excuse for customer service staff especially in a hospitality and golf environment to speak to paying guests in such a disrespectful and abrasive way. This was not a misunderstanding or simple miscommunication. This was blatant poor behavior and a clear lack of professionalism. What makes this situation even more frustrating is that every other employee we have interacted with at the pro shop has been courteous, helpful, and respectful. Trevor's behavior was a stark contrast and reflects very poorly on the standards that guests expect from a Sycuan-affiliated property. Guests who spend substantial money and support the Sycuan brand deserve to be treated with respect not spoken down to or yelled at. Trevor's attitude was inappropriate, unacceptable, and damaging to the overall customer experience. Frankly, if this is how he treats guests, his position in a customer-facing role should be seriously reevaluated. This experience left our entire group disappointed and frustrated, and it is not the level of service we expect from a property associated with Sycuan . The black card member will communicate this to his host.

I knew from the moment I called to make reservations a few months in advance after speaking with Elizabeth that this would be our place. I reserved a family suite for us - full kitchen, separate seating area (basically a mini living room), and two queen beds. Upon arrival, we were greeted at the front office and even though we were an hour early our room was ready. I love that they have coffee, tea and water available all day in the lobby - such a thoughtful touch! We received a room on the first floor towards the back. At first I thought it was a bit dark without too much natural light, but it worked in our favor at night, which is really the extent of time we spent there. Loved the location of Lamplighter Inn! There is some really great places nearby - Milo's pizza, Cheba Hut, and San Diego Blenders for smoothies, juice and sandwiches. There is a Starbucks as well, but we didn't need it thanks to the awesome breakfast provided at the Inn. There was so much more that we didn't get to explore as we had other plans, but I would most certainly go back to try. It was convenient to have Ralph's grocery around the corner and there was a Trader Joe's not too far as well. The room itself was pretty clean. My only complaint would be the old carpeting and sofa cushions. Yes, the kitchen and bathroom are "out-dated" if you're comparing it to a luxury hotel, but we knew what we were signing up for here. The important part was we had hot water and the shower pressure was good! The beds were relatively comfortable. Being on the first floor wasn't ideal if we had upstairs neighbors. There was one night it got so loud we had to call to file a complaint, but otherwise it was ok. I don't know if this is a general CA thing (we are from NY), but we had some unwelcome visitors throughout our stay - mosquito-like bugs, spiders, and something that looked like silverfish, but wasn't. We did have an issue with our kitchen fridge, water started pouring from the top internally and leaked all over our groceries. They never really came to fix it, so I just put paper towel and moved our groceries to the side. We made due as we didn't have much we needed to keep cold after the first few days. I wish the staff had done a better job maintaining our room on a daily basis throughout our stay. On our fourth day they had forgotten to finish our room and left garbage bags, one bed unmade, furniture not dusted and our feet would literally turn black after walking on the carpet. I called the front office and they corrected the issue immediately for which I was grateful. The breakfast that is included with your stay was really quite extraordinary for a continental breakfast - I am thankful at how much time and energy the team puts into it for the guests. They have a waffle maker! The kids loved it so much and we had waffles for at least half our stay. They provide an incredible variety of food - fresh fruit, hard-boiled eggs, bagels, pre-packaged pastries, cereal, fresh coffee and tea, and I love that they had alternative milks if needed. We would have such a wonderful breakfast before leaving each morning that we had enough energy to get us through most of the day before having to stop for a food break! Thank you Lamplighter Inn for how thoughtful you've made this for your guests. You really went above and beyond. The kids got to enjoy the pool one of the afternoons we had some free time. The pool is kept very clean, they have pool towels available on-site, and the area is fenced with nice furniture to lounge. This is definitely a family-friendly and kid-friendly place. I highly recommend it, especially if you have an extended stay like we did. The access to the main attractions was quick too - it took us less than 30 minutes to get to Balboa Park, San Diego Zoo, etc. The longest rides were to San Diego Safari Park and Legoland, but even those were a max of 40 mins.

So I got a car service. We talked and the closer we got to the Lemon Grove area of San Diego the more I realized this place is urban contemporary. Noted the Food4Less and Dollar Tree store if I needed anything after my event. Check in to the Rodeway Inn on Broadway was interesting. The door to the lobby was locked even thought it being early evening with the sun still up. The nice receptionist pointed to the side of the building to check in. I walked around the side to a plexiglass window and checked in. Read the sign on the wall about check out, non-smoking...etc. The receptionist was nice, well dressed, professional and gave me my room card. My room was on the ground floor. As I crossed to my room a shirtless older man was in the parking lot talking to himself. Inside my room it smelt like cigarettes. I'm sure the receptionist told me this inn was non-smoking. So I turned on the air conditioner to air out the room. Hurriedly freshened up and ironed my clothes for the event. My event was to see a theater premiere at The Moxie Theatre which was less than 10 invite drive from the Rodeway Inn. I ordered my car service. When my driver arrived I stepped out of the room and the look on her face was happy. She was nervous that the shirtless person was her guest. On the way to the theatre she asked me why I chose that inn and I told here that i'm just here to see my friends show and Rodeway Inn was close by. She told me this area is touch and go. After the theatre performance and mingling afterwards I went back to the Rodeway Inn to chill. The room smelled less smoky thanks to the air conditioner. I showered and grabbed the remote control to turn on the television to watch Saturday Night Live. The only thing that came up on the tv was "no signal". I tried all three output and no change. So I tried several times and no change. Ended up just watching things & scrolling on my phone. In the morning I relaxed and packed up around 10:15am. At 10:30am i headed to the plexiglass office area to check out. A woman exited a side door as I pressed to call button. No one came to the window. I pressed to call button about 3 times in five minutes with no employee to appear. I started thinking is this how they charge customers if they do not check out by 11am? Well the cleaning attendant stood next to me and knocked on the plexiglas. Because she had someone's phone and to tell the worker that a particular room had smokers. Guess they charge them. Finally an older man came from the back room looking tired. He received said phone and the room number of the smokers. I checked out and asked for a printed receipt. Did not want any unnecessary charges. The stay was nice. Very comfortable bed but the activity in the parking lot with random men walking around was shady at this inn. I walked to the subway station. It's very close.

The rooms were spacious and clean. The parking is free (that's a savings of $30 a night or more compared with other hotels!), there's a free breakfast, and the rooms were splendidly dark at night. The downsides: the heater/cooler unit wasn't particularly great at heating, and was noisy; the water pressure was pretty low, and the water was only warm; and the breakfast was pretty not-great (though I liked the biscuits and gravy!). Mixed bag: The location was perfect for us to visit family, but for a San Diego trip it might feel out of the way, and it's an Uber ride to a trolley station to get downtown. (But what you save in parking makes up for this hassle!) Also, the room was pretty quiet unlike freeway-adjacent hotels, but it was VERY noisy in the mornings as they rolled out bins and such. I have been to little motels in third world countries cleaner than this place. I have stayed in little motels in indigenous villages more well kept than this. I am not one to be rude or nasty, a lot of times I just let things go, but I like to go out of my way to give praise when it is due, but it ever I go out of my way to write something negative, you can be sure it's for a reason. First- I have heard horror stories so I always pull down the sheets to make sure they're clean and check the mattress. I pulled down the sheets and the pillows were all disheveled, ok. I look further down and the sheets were dirty, what looked like shoe marks. Well, it could just be a stain. I look a little harder and there is a black hair (my hair is red) Oh, hell no. I went to front desk to ask (very politely) for them to come and change the sheets. It was nighttime and he seemed very bothered to have to come do it because housekeeping was gone. As he left I thanked him and apologized for the bother and he completely ignored me and walked out! Second- I get in the shower, it looks fine. As I pull the curtain back to get out, I notice numerous black pubic hairs in the shower. I get out, disgusted, and as I'm drying off, I notice more pubic hairs by the toilet and behind the bathroom door along with dirt and what looks like a match. Then I look at the wall and anyone who knows anything about bed bugs knows what their feces looks like. Yup. Bed bug feces on the wall. I went to the front desk and told them I wasn't staying at their hotel for free, and I wanted at the very least a partial refund or some type of compensation for the horror. They refused and said I had to call Hotwire and that they didn't have any non smoking rooms left even though the one we were in reeked of smoke. To top it off with a cherry, there was a roach this morning walking along the shower. The carpet is so filthy I couldn't bring myself to walk barefoot, there is mold along the walls, wallpaper peeling all over the place, room is stuffy despite airing out, and strangely enough, the above review is right... For some reason I was itchy all night. Needless to say I didn't sleep a wink. Don't stay here. Don't stay here. Don't stay here. Bad service, bad hotel. Don't let the outside fool you.
