Spooky Nook Sports - Silver Champs at May Madness

Spooky Nook Sports

Spooky Nook Sports Complex in Spooky Nook PA is an impressive facility purely based on size alone…read more The complex is massive and at first glance it is hard not to be amazed by how much is packed into one location. There are countless courts fields and activity areas which makes it clear why this place attracts so many teams tournaments and large scale events. The variety of sports and amenities offered is a major positive. No matter what sport you are coming for there is a strong chance it is supported here. The layout allows for multiple games and events to run at the same time which is convenient for tournaments and families with kids participating in different activities. There are also food options and areas to sit which help when spending long days at the complex. That said the sheer size of the facility can also be a drawback. Navigating from one area to another can be overwhelming especially for first time visitors. Clearer signage and better wayfinding would make a big difference. It is easy to feel rushed or stressed trying to find the correct court or field on time particularly during busy weekends. Crowd management is another area that could use improvement. When events are in full swing the complex can feel extremely congested. Parking can be challenging and walking through crowded corridors with athletes spectators and equipment can become frustrating. The overall experience during peak hours feels chaotic rather than streamlined. The facility itself is functional but not always comfortable. Some areas feel worn and could benefit from better maintenance or updates especially considering the high volume of traffic the complex sees. Seating can be limited and not always ideal for spectators staying for extended periods of time. Overall Spooky Nook Sports Complex delivers on scale and opportunity but falls short in execution. It is an impressive venue with huge potential but the experience can feel overwhelming and tiring rather than enjoyable. With better organization improved navigation and attention to comfort it could easily earn a higher rating. For now it lands at a solid three stars.

Do yourself and your kids a favor and find another workout facility. The owners here are absolutely…read moreterrible and heartless. They only care about taking your money and could care less about your kids. I was there one night with my twin Girls (10 years old) for a softball workout and I brought my two teenage sons with me to hang out. My son loves baseball so he asked a coach if he could use the batting cage to hit some balls while it wasn't in use and a coach said yes. The owners weren't there at the time so the coaches seemed like the right people to ask, well I was wrong. No fault of the coach because he obviously thought it was harmless so he gave the ok. The owners wife showed up shortly after and began to harass my two teen boys that were doing nothing but hitting some baseballs in the batting cage together. They were given permission, and even after telling her that she decided to sneak and record my boys in the cage without my knowledge but my son noticed and he told me. She also said some really rude things to him that she could have said to me instead, better yet she should have taken it up with the person who gave us permission since it was only like our 4th workout there and we didn't know who else to ask. I confronted her about the video but she continued the harassment. After I repeatedly told her to never do that again without my permission she told me to leave and threatened to call the police. I chose to leave and as my kids and I were headed for the door she persisted to follow us and yell at my son telling him the cage wasn't free. We left and didn't return until the following week in hopes to clear things up with her husband who wasn't there to Witness her bizarre behavior. My kids were so uncomfortable being there after this incident that they didn't even want to go to this next workout but I took them anyway hoping to resolve this issue. My hopes were that she would kindly apologize to my kids for making them feel that way and then we could move on from the whole ordeal. Well, she wasn't there at the next workout so I had an awful discussion with her husband ( the owner). He was so disrespectful towards me, I was trying to explain my side of what happened and he kept trying to shut me up like I was beneath him in some way, like my feelings as a mom weren't valid and my kids feelings weren't either. He said his wife wasn't going to apologize and he kept repeating that his biggest concern was the cage being used for free and us getting permission from someone who didn't have the authority to do so, we were very new to the program so I don't know how we were supposed to know that we asked the wrong person and payment was never mentioned to us. I told him his priority should be my kids feelings and not whether he got paid for 20 minutes of batting but he made it very clear that he could care less about my kids, their feelings, and mine. I'll spare the details about the rest of the discussion but he was extremely rude, demeaning, and heartless so I just gave up trying to resolve anything With him. I went inside, got my kids packed up and we left. I can't believe people like them work with kids! I will never step foot in this facility again and you should think twice before doing the same.
