Was in there a solid hour just checking everything out. I later returned and worked with Michael on a full fitting because I was looking to move into graphite shafts due to hand discomfort in my current irons. He did a great job taking that into account and walking me through different club and shaft combinations. What impressed me was that he was also noticing things in my swing and giving me pointers along the way that were immediately helping me make better contact. I ended up with a fully fitted setup I'm excited about, and I learned quite a bit during the process too. Definitely found my new go-to golf shop. Thanks Michael!

Great selection of clubs, new and used. Huge store with 3-4 simulators…read more Love the staff there. Very honest and helpful. I brought in my broken Cobra gap wedge to maybe get a new shaft. But they suggested getting a used replacement which was newer than 25 years old and better technology! One of the staff helped find one that was closest to my old club, Taylor Made 54 degree. Cost only $50 which was much cheaper than a reshaft. They even offered to take it back if I didn't like it. Loved the new club and worked great but is now my 90 yard club...old age you know.

Four stars for TaylorMade Golf. I'm a fan…read more When I first started playing golf, throughout the 90s and into the mid 2000s, I was a Callaway man. Every club in my bag, from driver to putter, was Callaway. Then, when the USGA limited the size of driver heads to 460cc, I decided to buy a new driver. I went to my local PGA Tour Superstores and demoed a bunch of them. I tried them out on simulators and recorded my stats (e.g. ball spin, club head speed, distance, launch angle, and of course, accuracy). I also checked the clubs out and took them with me to the range. I had multiple demo sessions between two PGA Tour Superstore locations and the range. This was a big investment decision for me, especially since these drivers cost hundreds of dollars each. Brands I tested included Adams, Callaway, Cleveland, Cobra, TaylorMade, and Titleist. After extensive testing, the driver that came out on top for me and my swing was the TaylorMade Burner. I still use the driver to this day with relatively consistent results. I've been very happy with it. It's got a stock regular flex Fujikura graphite shaft and I've had the grip replaced with the tried and true Golf Pride Tour Velvet grip (it's on all my clubs but the putter). Other TaylorMade products I've regularly used include golf balls and golf gloves. I really liked playing the TaylorMade TP Reds before they stopped making them. They felt great. Recently, I've been going through boxes of TaylorMade Dad-isms golf balls. They're more of a gift than a "serious" competition ball. My dad found them on sale/clearance at his local sports store/golf shop. At my skill level, they work just as well as, if not better than, the old TP Reds I used to play. As for gloves, I currently have a small collection of TaylorMade Tour Preferred and Stratus gloves that will last me for years. Again, my dad found many on sale/clearance, this time, at the Golf Galaxy (IIRC) on Hilton Head Island. The gloves feel great. They fit well, are smooth and comfortable, and help give me a good grip on every single one of my clubs. I prefer the Tour Preferred gloves because each one comes with a roughly quarter-size magnetic ball marker on top of the velcro flap; not one of those tiny snap-in button ball markers. Dustin Johnson supposedly wore the same glove (either the Tour Preferred or Stratus, I'm not sure). At the time of writing this review, TaylorMade has a star-studded lineup of PGA Tour players that it sponsors including Tiger Woods, Dustin Johnson, Jason Day, Collin Morikawa, Jon Rahm, Matthew Wolff, Rickie Fowler, and Rory McIlroy. Currently, TaylorMade's most expensive product is the SIM Driver with an MSRP of $549.99. "SIM" stands for Speed in Motion, a "reshaped" driver with a "speed-injected" "Twist Face," among many other features that have been marketed and hyped up. Twist Face has always sounded gimmicky to me, but admittedly, I haven't tried out the relatively new technology yet. Regardless, TaylorMade is one of the pillar golf brands of today and in my experience, they produce solid clubs and accessories. I recommend their products to casual golfers.

My son recently had the opportunity to undergo the Evnroll Putting Experience Fitting, and it was nothing short of a game-changer for his putting game. We were welcomed by Master Fitter Alan, and even met Guerin himself, at the impressive Evnroll headquarters in Carlsbad, the session promised to utilize state of the art Quintic high-speed cameras and Alan's incredible knowledge to craft the perfect putter for him. The process kicked off with a baseline measurement using his existing Taylormade Spider CS putter. Alan, armed with a Quintic ball roll analysis, carefully studied his putting stroke and how the golf ball interacted with the putter face. The detailed analysis provided insights into face angle, shaft lean, attack angle, and club twist, giving us a comprehensive understanding of his putting dynamics. Scheduled a fitting with Alan while in San Diego for a golf tournament at Torrey Pines. I am a professional golfer and have never had a putter fitting before, so I came into the session with no expectations. Alan was awesome to work with; he listened to what I was trying to accomplish with my old putter (TaylorMade Spider) and what I would like to have in a new putter. Alan recently fitted me for my new Evnroll putter, and after now using it for several weeks, I am totally in love with it! The fitting experience was fantastic - the facility is top notch, Alan's knowledge was impressive, and the look and feel of my putter is exceptional. I have played golf for over twenty years, and this is, by far, my best putter. The fitting took an hour and a half: Alan spent at least an hour fitting me, and then built the putter. Been wanting to try an Envroll fitting for a few years, but being an ocean away from San Diego made things difficult. Finally had the opportunity to visit, but had actually messed up the reservation. Alan pulled through and was able to accomodate my schedule. The fitting was great. Alan is a true professional and is an expert in his field. I have done multiple putter fittings in the past but this one was an amazing experience. Nothing like the big box club fitting places. The fitting was in depth and unique to me. It never felt canned or scripted. He let me ask all of my questions and never made me feel stupid for asking them. He patiently went through the entire lineup of options and let me putt anything that caught my eye. The fitting was the perfect balance of subjective and data driven. The fitting was thorough and scientific. The Quintic software Evnroll uses gives an exhaustive amount of data, and proved to me there's more to putting than face direction and path. We circled around to some other models to see if maybe the numbers suggested other types, but the Z1 was for me. Today, 2 days later I played a round at Maderas Golf Club, which has intimidating greens. I made a 30 footer for par and a number of 4-8 footers where i struggle to convert. I do think the Tour 38 shaft was also a key part of distance control for me. Great job, Alan. Mr. Rife has now supplied my putters exclusively for 15 years now and I'll be adding a few more to the streak! read more

Had a fitting with Alan on 6/26. It was my first putting fitting ever so I came in not knowing exactly what to expect. Alan was very patient with all of my questions and helped with my set up, which made me feel more confident over the ball and had me rolling more consistently. He had a great system to consider both the data gathered from my putts and my personal feel/opinions to eventually get us both to feel 100% sure about the putter I purchased. This is the first time I've done a remote fitting. Alan was very polite, timely, patient, and courteous and he asked good questions. He was prepared, having looked at the videos and other information I sent prior to the call. He is very knowledgeable about Evnroll's products and was able to discuss various options, as well as my concerns. I like that the putters have interchangeable parts, it takes a lot of the risk out of spending so much money on a putter. Very in depth fitting process, would highly recommend to anyone looking to elevate their putting performance. Alan was very thorough and took all the time necessary to come up with the best set up for me. I am a more difficult fit due to my height which required Alan to cut some shaft material in order to get the length correct on the demo equipment. I had a concept idea for a Phantom 5.5 that I bought cheap from a golf store and this club was in very bad shape. After speaking with Sherry she helped me decide on the finish and accent colors. The BOS team knocked this out of the park as this club looks brand new. Keep in mind this putter is now going to be part of display at my house along side a few others. Fees: 85.00 for refinish. GREAT VALUE. This company was the original finisher for Scotty Camerons, so thats around 1993 or so, according to AI. 35.00 for each white line to be redone on a putter, or to put a new one. NOT SUCH A GREAT VALUE. To refinish my 1993 Newport was 85 refinish, 15.00 to pull the shaft, don't know if that includes putting it back in, not a great deal, 3 lines 105.00, HORRIBLE DEAL. SO 205.00 TO REFINISH MY PUTTER. Considering it already has 3 lines, and I use it, I'll pass. If I was selling it, I might have considered the 105.00 to refinish. Don't know what the lettering cost. The original finish, likely from these people, is still good. Needs a little polish, and reinking to look like new. The owner responded to my honest experience on another website by attacking me personally. For that reason, they get ONE star. I suspect he got drunk on a Friday night, which is when he wrote the response, and wrote the ad hom. I would strongly suggest you describe, in exact detail, all services you want on your putter, call Sherry, and get a written price, before bringing your club in. When you make "Assumptions" about our signage displayed in our lobby regarding "Our Shop Rate" you might want to read and or inquire what that pertains to as it pertains to "walk-ins" wanting a "repair" expecting us to tear down a production run to perform some type of machining service which isn't related to golf. We placed that sign there so that customers would understand our "Machining Rates" and understand that we won't stop production and tear down a set-up to repair a pump or machine a rotor etc. While we understand the urgency of a repair it cost too much money to tear down a set up that is in the middle of a production run. We do our best to accommodate emergency jobs but if it isn't feasible we'll provide a lead time and if that is acceptable, we will process the repair as soon as the production run is completed. While everyone is entitled to their opinion posting False information without obtaining the facts is rude and disrespectful. If you had only taken the time to visit our website, you would have seen the prices on our order form or you could have sent us an email or called our office to obtain pricing over the phone. However. you choose not to do any of those options and decided to stop by with your clubs where you were greeted courteously and taken to Sherry's office where she was able to address all your questions and provide you with pricing. I don't know what you mean or imply by stating we "get our customers to commit?" ??? Have no clue what even made you say that! We don't use "sales tactics or any stupid gimmicks." We are straightforward and provide you with pricing and make suggestions on how you can save money such as pulling the shafts off of your clubs yourself. We just don't operate that way! Let's be honest! You complained about our fees and proceed to tell Sherry that you had this service done for free elsewhere. Sherry responded in kind by suggesting that maybe you could pull the shafts yourself to save a little money or if you still had the connection to take the clubs there and have these services done for free and if you still wanted the clubs refinished that would cut back on your fees and we'd be happy to refinish them. She was honest and courteous even though you took some jabs. She politely explained we can't do this for free. We have employees to pay,environmental fees, utilities, rent etc., whereas your other connection may be a small shop without all of these expenses. You were "peeved" because she wouldn't do the services you inquired about for free. That's the TRUTH! Therefore, to conclude it is disheartening to read a dishonest statement. We work very hard to maintain our Excellent Reputation,Great Customer Service, Quality Workmanship and Competitive Pricing. No advertising, simply all word of mouth referrals. That speaks volumes. I've had customers fittings at my golf club and more recently in the relatively new PXG Store on Miramar Blvd in San Diego. I was considering upgrading my 3 and 5 fairway woods and dropped by the PXG Store on Miramar Blvd yesterday...just to schedule a fitting appointment. As usual, I was warmly welcomed and since they had an open fitting time immediately, I underwent an exceptionally professional and detailed fitting on the spot. The Master Fitter (Justin) conducted the fitting, working through all manner of data collection beginning with assessment of my current clubs and progressing to multiple combinations of club heads, weight adjustments, shaft options, and advice. At the conclusion of the lengthy fitting, I made the decision to opt for a new Lightning 4 fairway wood and a new Lightning 7 fairway wood, both of which provided very significant performance improvements in distance and control over my old clubs. These two new clubs actually will replace my two old fairway woods AND my 5 iron. Since I am a military veteran, I qualify for the Heroes Program discounts (very significant savings). The new clubs are being custom assembled and will be delivered to my home in 7 days. PXG and Justin epitomize professionalism, outstanding customer service, and the highest quality equipment!

Returned home, got on the website, and discovered the "black ops" driver was advertised at $320 before taxes (veteran discount). I emailed TJ and voiced interest in that club. He never returned my communication. I bought a 2025 new cobra model driver, with the same shaft, for $299. PXG missed a sale.
